So I know I am the only one writing a review but I will give you my unbiased account of what happened. My cat that I got from a shelter was apart of the family for three years and he was about to turn four. He had suffered a rare bone disease and had to get surgery on his hips about two years ago. He fully recovered without any problems. Around the end of February he stopped eating. Our normal vet was up in Winter Park and leaving for vacation so she was unable to get my cat in so we looked up vets in our area (we had recently moved) and found that Dr. Lehr was highly rated so we gave him a try. Went for our initial visit and he pretty much confirmed that his teeth needed to be cleaned and one tooth had to be extracted because of lesions. We make an appointment drop the cat off pick him up, not a problem. Aside from the bill (and four extra teeth he had removed) everything seemed okay. The cat was on anesthesia and we knew from previous surgeries that it may take him a day or two to eat normally. A day or two go by and hes still not eating. I bring him back in and the doctor doesnt even look at him just send me on my way with a different antibiotic. Two days go buy and I have to take off work and school in order to feed my cat the tiniest pieces of boiled chicken so hes at least getting something in him. I bring him back in and the doctor sees him and says he is "looking yellow" which is usually a sign of "liver distress". No blood test or ultrasound or xrays. Just a new antibiotic and another vet bill. Well this continues for several more trips to the vet (and several $60+ bills) and I had to go out of town. I was supposed to fly but I didnt want to leave my cat so I arranged my schedule so I could drive and bring my cat with me. I get to my destination and my cats abdomen is filled with fluid. We take him to a vet, who *finally* runs a full blood test and tox panel to find out that he has pancreatitis which *should be* curable if caught in time. My cat died the next day. All he had to do was run an aditional test or screen. On my last visit I asked him why didnt he and he said "Because the tests wed run are the once you dont want to come back positive". All the reviews are right, he is a good guy and probably a good run of the day vet. However, when another vet tells you that whoever extracted your cats teeth may have missed a few classes in vet school, its probably a better option to not have him take care of any critical situations.

We had been using Foothills as our primary care vet for over 3 years. We had never had any problems with them (other than the lack of time in the room by the actual vet), however my dogs were always healthy and only went in for routine exams. A few days ago, one of my dogs got a puncture wound and needed to be seen ASAP to get some stitches. We called and asked if they could work us in as we obviously did not have an appointment. It was at least an hour before they were scheduled to close for the day. The lady on the phone was very nice, but kind of an airhead. She very nicely said that he sounded like he needed to be seen very soon to get stitches, but they could not work us in. She then proceeded to ask if we wanted an appointment for the next morning. FYI ... you have to get stitches within about 3 hours of an injury otherwise they will not stitch you up. We went on to explain that we were current patients and had been going to them for the past 3 years, and that he needed stitches now, and that we would wait as long as they could work us in. They refused to help us. What kind of a vet doesnt help a pet in need?! We were very lucky and found Fox Hollow Animal Hospital down the road, where they very promptly worked us in (without an appointment) and took great care of our dog. I am very thankful that we found them. We will NEVER go to Foothills again, and I would NEVER recommend them to anyone!

I cant thank Stacy and Anka (I hope I spelled correctly) enough for helping me get my long hair tabby groomed in a pinch yesterday!! I had an appt with Petsmart in Arvada who failed to tell me they would not groom a sedated animal when I scheduled with them. My cat had a bad experience last year on her first grooming visit elsewhere where they left her in her cage for a very long time. She was so agitated they were not able to get her rinsed or dried properly causing a terrible knotting problem. I called Foothills explained my situation and they squeezed her in for a quick shave to get all her knots out. Bless you ladies! Rhiannon was prancing and following us around the house for affection she felt sooooo good with all the knots gone!!

Dr. Liehr is a great veterinarian. We started taking our dogs and cat to him a couple years ago when we lived in Lakewood and he was the best we have had. He is wonderful with the pets and very helpful. Tells us exactly what he thinks we should do without pressuring. We moved an hour away up to Northglenn last year and still go out of our way to come to his clinic. As long as we are near Denver, we will be coming here.

Dr. Liehr has been our Veterinarian for 10+ years. Dr. always takes the time to answer all of our questions and explain conditions and treatments. From puppy age until end of life, the entire staff has been very professional, loving and caring, not only to our pets, but to us, as well. We are very grateful to have found such a good fit of Veterinary care for our family.

We have been taking our boxer dog to this vet for 2 years. Dr. Leihr truly cares about all his 4 legged patients! Every time we are there he gets down on the floor and loves on our pup. We have had nothing, but great experiences at this vet! Thank you Foothills Animal Hospital!

Dr. Liehr has always done a great job with my pets, I highly recommend this animal hospital. They have seen my family dogs for over 20 years, in that time Dr Liehr and staff have always been great to deal with. 5 Stars is the best I could give 10 would be appropriate.

We currently take our 3 dogs and 1 cat to this vet. The staff is always super friendly and knowledgeable. We have an elderly dog who needs a lot of care, and they are always there to answer all of my questions. I love having such a great vet in our neighborhood!

Our friends referred us to Foothills after a bad experience at another local vet. I was so pleased with how the visit went and how Dr. Liehr interacted with me and my puppy that I think I have found my permanent vet!
