No stars but I am forced to select to be able to post: Dr Ortiz was recommended to me back in 2001. I continued to attend his office up until 2014. Everything was fine until 2014. I had arrived with my son around 11 am one weekday. I took my son out of school since he was complaining of mild chest pain. When I arrived the receptionist was quick to refuse care, claiming that Dr. Ortiz is leaving at noon. I had to ask her to please notify to Dr Ortiz of my sons condition. She left the reception area and came back within seconds claiming that Dr Ortiz said he would not see him. At this moment, I chose to walk across the parking lot where at the time, another pediatric office was located. Dr. Teresa Marquez-Smith front desk quickly received me with no hesitation. I explained my sons condition. They took down all proper history and my son was in an exam room within minutes to be seen by Dr. Marquez-Smith. A simple diagnosis and some prescriptions to be filled. I was even able to pay with card. We were out in less than an hour. Today, I call to request information, but as usual Dr. Ortizs front desk staff lacks professionalism when speaking with clients. They are rude, impatient and very juvenile.

I have been going to Dr. Ortiz since I was a kid. Now both my boys have gone to him since they were babies. I called the office in the early afternoon to make an appointment I was told "there are no appointments just walk in" so I take my son out around 2 and we walk in I sign in and sit down. 5 minutes go by and I was called up and I was asked "does your son have an appointment?" I told her no. Then she says "Dr. Otiz isnt seeing anymore kids cuz he doesnt feel good" so I asked her why didnt she tell me this when I called? And if hes not feeling well why are all these kids waiting to see Dr. Ortiz. Because I know damn well hes going to see those kids. I totally understand that they had appointments but my son needed to be seen. And she turned us away. Ive seen her turn away so many parents and children through the years. She is very unprofessional and rude. Parents have told me they dont go to Dr. Otiz because of his receptionists now I know why! Well I will no longer take my boys to his office. Sorry Dr. Ortiz for your poor front desk service!

No tengo ningún comentario negativo a cerca de la atención del Dr. Ortiz pero de a ver leido antes los comentarios de aquí me hubiera ahorrando experiencias muy desagradables con su personal, específicamente con la chica que atiende al frente, si es muy ruda y poco servicial, con nada de tacto al referirse con los clientes, tal pareciera que no le gusta recibir pacientes nuevos, o mas bien que no le gusta su trabajo, tuve solo 1 cita con mis hijos y creo que fue suficiente, lastima por este tipo de atención tan deplorable.

Perfect example of what is wrong with healthcare today. Drs running around trying to see as many patients per hour to keep revenues up. Me and my wife really had a concern about my daughters fussiness after eating, he just shrugged it off and said it was normal, never took the time to listen, check out my daughter, palpate, nothing. Another pediatrician was recommended and the difference in care was black and white. Dev wont recommend.

Ive taken my son here since he was born my son turns 2 next month. Although I would like to agree with the reviews that his staff is extremely un professional extremely rude.Or if not the staff the front receptionist. Up to the point were she rolls her eyes to the back of her head! its time I look into another doctor. any recommendations

Do not take your children to this doctor. His office staff is extremely rude, very unprofesional, and do not treat your children with care. When I brought this to the doctors attention he was unattentive and became upset.And ignored the whole insident. Nobody deserves an experience like this.

Front desk lady is extremely rude! Acted like I was bothering her to do her job. Which is schedule an app. Had lab results done at 24 months. Was told in order to receive the results I had to wait until 30 months. Ummmm. Thats a 6 month wait for results.... Im guessing hes fine.

Dr Ortiz had not seen us yet the nurse said he will be right with you 1 hour later I Said let me see where his he is just sitting talking away I wanted to confront hi me so bad and staff is horrible they Said will be with you in 5 minutes she did not ask us at all horrible here

The receptionist is so rude she always has a bad attitude. I came in for my appointment and see her family come in after me and just puts them right thru without even having to wait. Bad thing is like I waited like 2 hours for Dr. Ortiz to see me for 5 minutes.

This doctor was my doctor when I was I kid and hes stayed in the family since day one all my younger sister go with him. I have a kid of my own now and hes his doctor now! Hes one of the best!!
