I brought my Australian Shepherd to the office as a first time visit and to get heartworm medicine. She was also due for some vaccines. We arrived, I filled out my paperwork an we waited. The receptionist then stated "so, youre here for the works" I asked what that means and she said - exam and vaccines. I said I wanted to talk to the doctor about that because she already had a 3 year rabies vaccine, so she wasnt due for another one - the receptionist replied," oh, we dont accept the 3 -year vaccine, she has to get one every year. I went on to the exam room - waited a few minutes and two people walked - said hi and then reached out to grab my dog - I asked what was going on and the younger woman said, I want the leash so I can get Callie onto the exam table Youll notice - no introduction, no explanation - just a hand to grab my dog and start the exam. Im getting angry and my poor dog was terrified. I finally put a stop to this treatment and asked for a discussion - what is it you plan to do and why - before you touch my dog. At this point the doctor spoke and simply said - Oh I thought you had already discussed this. Who would I have discussed anything with? the receptionist? This was crazy. I really wanted heartworm medication, so I did not walk out, but I sure wanted to. In the middle of the exam - the door opens again and a small child walks into the room and grabs onto the leg of the vet I asked what was going on and why was she here - but no one answered me. Then the vet picked up about five syringes of vaccines to give to my dog - I stopped her and asked what they were - after we spoke, she agreed that Callie did not need some of the vaccines and she laid them aside. Finally we talked about the heartworm prevention - my dog is an Australian Shepherd - they have a tendency to get toxic with the active ingredient ivermectin - There are alternative medications, so I simply asked for medication that did not contain any ivermectin. I finally get home with my medicine - look at it - lo and behold - it has ivermectin - the one thing I said I didnt want!!! I called the office to complain - they tried to tell me that it really isnt a problem - that medication is quite safe and I dont have any reason to be concerned. I said that I am concerned and I will not give her medication that runs the risk of hurting my dog. I returned to the clinic with the medication and I did get my money back. But no one in the vet office every heard of any medication for heartworm prevention that does not contain ivermectin. - This is sad. I can go online and in about 30 seconds I can print a list of alternative medications. I can also find many, many article discussed how certain breeds do not tolerate ivermectin and run the risk of toxicity. Yet this office has never heard of this issue. I spend 300 dollars and I still do not have the one thing I wanted for my dog. I still need heart worm prevention medication. I know the brands, but I cant get it without a prescription. I will never go back to this office and I do not recommend this practice to anyone who loves their pet.

I only dislike it because hate is a word I avoid using. I dont agree with their yearly rabies vaccine rule and the ONE thing I can not ever welcome or agree to is giving my information directly to the city, but the clinic says its the law, so expect the city to send you a letter asking for a $ 70.00 license fee. Also they stink like cigarettes and you can easily see their smokes in their scrubs pockets, and thumbs way down to the vintage 80s sun visor cap wearing smug receptionist who answers your polite, casual "thank you" with a very mockingly..... " NO!!! ...THANK YOU!!! " (try it, youll see what I mean) she also proudly claims to own about 7 cats & dogs, thats about $ 500.00 worth of licenses. BTW the main vet lady came in and never even spoke to me or introduced herself, I only knew her from her self glossing pictures on her waiting room walls. Im back to PETCO. ALYAC can suck it.

I took my 2 puppies to be treated for Parvovirus. The Doctor, said he didnt think they had Parvo, even tho my little girl was showing classic symptoms. he said she probably ate garbage. She died the next day after he refused to treat them for Parvo. I had to take my male to petco hospital to be treated, they gave him injections and IVs. He is looking better but I dont know if he will survive. I was charged for a bunch of crap i obviously didnt need, and lied to about the bill while they were being treated, I asked them to total it, so I know how much it would be. When I went to pay it, it was &100.00 more. this clinic sucks and I wouldnt recommend anyone that has a sick dog to go here. I think they are only interested in how much they can suck from your purse and dont care about the animals at all.

Love Love Love this place!! I had my dog neutered a week ago and the place that did it did not do a very good job. My friend told me about this clinic that she found and told me to check it out. Everyone from the receptionist, vet tech, to the vet were great! They treated my dog as if he were human which I loved! Thanks to them my best friend Buddy is already feeling better!! I am going to tell all my friends that own pets to go to this place!!!

Ive been coming here for years and they are awesome in every since of the word with people and animals. They work with you and try to conduct alternatives if there are other safe and less expensive ways to do things to help you save money. A lot of vet and medical facilities could learn lots from this place. <3
