I cannot express enough, how grateful I am to Dr. Matthew Guerre. This man is a godsend- professional, knowledgeable, sympathetic, and just an outright amazing dentist. For those of you who want to skip the story and want to just consider this rating, please do no hesitate to see this dentist. Dr. Guerre and the entire staff are a very lovely bunch and every single one of them has such a great attitude. Understanding, knowledgeable, and eager to help! You can tell that Dr. Guerre and his staff are passionate about their career. I have found my new dentist. Now, story time: On August 28th, I broke through a cavity, while on my lunch break. In full on panic and in desperate need of relief, I had scheduled an appointment with a dentist that was close to my job. The staff of such office was so rude, inconsiderate, and I felt like their staff did not know what they were doing. Reluctant as I was, they tried to have me sign a consent form a second time, and pointed out that the procedure wasnt guaranteed to work and they started shoving things into my mouth. The dentist was going in and out of the procedure "area" and talking about her family and the vacation she was taking after that day. Needless to say, I didnt like that they were moving me up and down, having to redo the x-rays, and having just an outright bad attitude. Fed up with feeling like processed meat, I stormed out of the office, only to realize that I had one hour to find another dentist. Called about four other offices until I reached Juanita, who was very quick to tell me that they could see me. Me and my mother left, driving through five oclock traffic, to get to the office on time (we drove all the way from 610 N/290, TC Jester, to this place!) Arriving at Dr. Krells office, was so refreshing and was greeted with such a friendly staff. When they were ready to examine my tooth, Kim (Shes Dr. Guerres assistant- one of the sweetest ladies I have come across) and led me to the dentists chair and gently took x-rays of my tooth. Knew exactly what was happening and what needed to be done. Then I met Dr. Guerre, who was very enthusiastic about the whole thing. He made me feel comfortable and confident about what needed to be done and how the procedure was going to be done. His entire staff stayed late, for my sake. They wanted to help the best way that they could, and I feel as though Dr. Guerre and his staff exuberated a level of excellence and professionalism that is beyond that of any dentist I have experienced. Update: My root canal was a huge success! Since the procedure, I have not experienced any pain.

My first visit to John H Krell, DDS was about two weeks ago. The office is located off of Weslyan and Essex and has a convenient parking garage connected to the building. You take the elevator to the 11th floor and find a beautifully decorated waiting room with teal/brown decor, orchids, and a calming ambiance. You ring the door bell next to the office door to let them know you are there and then take a seat. I was taken back and Lindsay took my x-rays--5 total, which was a pleasant surprise because I am used to having to take about 20. The last x-ray was taken while I stood and the machine rotated around my head. After my cleaning, I swished the fluoride treatment, rather than having to do a tray with the nasty gel. I was then fitted for a complimentary whitening tray and a mouth guard to prevent grinding my teeth while I sleep. Lindsay was very sweet and personable. She did an excellent job gently cleaning my chompers. Dr. Krell was out on vacation so I saw Dr. Matt Guerre, who was very kind. He and Lindsay did an excellent job explaining details of my examination. I have Aetna insurance and Dr. Krell was out of network for me, but Dr. Guerre was not, so I saved about $300 on my mouth guard as well. What a happy coincidence that was! Pam took my payment and was very friendly and welcoming. I picked up my complimentary whitening tray and whitening accessories a week later. Two weeks later went in for my mouth guard fitting. The staff was wonderful for every visit. Id recommend Dr. Krell and Matt Guerre to all of my friends and family in the Houston area.

This dental practice is top notch. Everyone should go there. They are kind, considerate and go above and beyond to make sure your visit is the best. That is saying a lot, I know because I usually wait until something is wrong before going to the dentist, it isnt usualy pleasant going to any dentist but Dr. Krell and Kimberly were exceptional from start to finish. I broke my tooth last night eating dinner with my kids. My front tooth!!! The office is not open on Friday but they answer their phones. The receptionist (I cannot remember her name, Im so sorry) was extremely sweet and called Dr. Krell at home. Within the hour he was up at the office and working my tooth. In 4 hours I had a beautiful veneer in place. Not a temp tooth...a veneer, made right there, fit on and in place. Walked out with my smile back in tact. I will now see Dr. Krell and Kimberly for my regular visits. Ive passed out all 6 of the business cards that they gave me and have emailed and texted dozens of others. This is the best dentist I have ever seen. My kids will now be moved from their dentist to Dr. Krell. AMAZING Dentist with equally amazing staff.

Terrible experience. Complete oversell on services and the amount of pain that they want to put you through. It is not the money I am worried about, I have plenty of that. It is the amount of inconvenience and pain that they want to put you through. I went in as a new patient for a cleaning. They told me that I had gum disease and that I would need to schedule multiple cleanings to fix it. They also took tons of x-rays. Just because insurance covers it doesnt mean that I want the extra radiation and the multiple visits to do a simple cleaning. The whole place felt like a billing fraud to me. I would avoid this dentist at all costs. There are many honest dentists in the area, but not this one and this staff. I went back to my old dentist and of course, I can have everything done in one day.

Dr. Krell and his staff are amazing! My family and I have been going to Dr. Krell for about 10 years. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I went in last week to get a root canal, and they made the experience beyond comfortable. They have TVs in front of every chair, they use the latest technology, they explain everything. I just laid back in my chair and listened to my iPod and didnt feel a thing. After every procedure (minus a teeth cleaning) Dr. Krell personally calls you in the evening to ask how you are feeling- who else does that?

Ive been to many dentists in my life because Ive had to move about in my training. Being in the medical field myself you recognize quality medical care. Dr. John Krell is the consumate professional. Hes also a good guy, down to earth and fun. He and his staff are pleasant, quick and efficient. I love the technology they have on site, especially the 3d re o structure video and modeling as well as the on site crowns. I couldnt recommend them any higher. Good folks on all levels.
