A couple of months ago, My wife came in here with a dog bite on her hand after trying to break up a big dog fight at the dog park. We dont know which of the dogs bit her. It had started to swell and she was turned away by the incompetents at the 11th st walk in clinic off of Yale st ( more on that in another review) . All she needed was a tetanus shot, but they couldnt figure that out. They said that they needed blood tests of the dog that bit her and said she should go to the er. Now we have insurance but not for this particular ER. First thing they did at this place was hit her up for 2600 dollars. Half is the er money and the other half goes to the er doctors company. In pain and needing to get seen to she agreed and paid 1500 at the desk. The doctor gave her a tet shot and a band aid and that was it. The company that "supplies" the doctors is the Schumacher group. After a long phone call to them and asking for itemized billing I ended up paying half their fee. Better but still a lot of money. The hospital also said they would refund us a portion of their half after we had our insurance company talk with them. So yes it could have been worse, but these people are predators. 2600 for a tetanus shot? Now if the walk in doctor had done his job the visit with a tetanus shot would have cost $150 .

My daughter was having severe stomach pains, thought it was appendicitis. The staff was friendly, but demanded a $1000 payment up front. They ran a Cat-scan and gave my daughter an IV painkiller. We were there for four hours and all were kind, but. Apparently there was no one who could read the cat scan, so it was worthless. The ER doctor charged us $2000 for his services. This is less than an hours attention. The hospital initially charged $12,000 for its use, this was later reduced via an agreement with the insurance company to just under a $1000. We went to the family doctor in the morning and were admitted to Memorial Hermann ER immediatedly. They did an X-ray and quickly determined she had severe constipation. She was given an enema and we were discharged free of pain. I strongly suggest avoiding this hospital even though the staff are pleasant.

I give 1 star because it doesnt give me the option to put -100! unfortunately I was admitted to this hospital last week with a severe pain in my abdomen, I got there around 12pm and .. I was taken to a room but i was not given any medicine for pain, I called the nurse station plenty of times to tell them I had a migraine on top of my abdominal pain and they told me they didnt have any medicine for migraines... oh i forgot to mentioned that when they did answer the phone the answer was "what do you want?"... it was 7am next day and nobody came to see me, no doctor, no ultrasound no nothing so I had to call my PCP and he went to the hospital to check what happened and the answer was, we were too busy... I really hope I dont have to come to this hospital ever again. I ended up going to Womans Hospital where they detected pancreatitis and Cholecystitis

No wait time around 10pm, my daughter was attended to quickly and they eased her pain enough to where she was able to be discharged with Kidney Stones and infection. This was her 2nd trip to the hospital the 1st one she went to was Memorial Hermann Northwest Hospital and we took over 8 hours. As opposed to this location in which we were in and out within 5 hours of course I must admit they did have help knowing the medical diagnosis a head of time. Taking out most of the guess work by knowing what they were treating. Thanks St. Joseph .. a mom.

So disrespectful to disabled veterans, sat uncomfortable with bite on leg, tried to send me to physic ward for it. One Nurse is so rude and Dr is a joke, Gave me Tylenol and paper clothes to change into for transport. I needed help not to be scared into a panic attack. Still sitting here with infection in my leg thats burning and trying to calm down This is exactly why we dont get help. I clearly told them I am a 100 percent disabled veteran with ptsd/tbi

I was planning on admitting myself there but no luck getting a hold of them litterly called 10 times and every single time i called I got the voicemail. I even tried their automated choices non which helped me get someone on the phone. I tell you this if your feeling the worst just know you cant count on them Ive tried.

The staff was extremely helpful. The doctor assessed me quickly and advised me on procedures I didnt need to save me money. A breath of fresh air. If I ever have an emergency, I will drive out of my way if possible to use their services
