We where at the ER this morning terrible experience. This morning my wife woke up with terrible terrible pain in her side. So since we live in a high rise here in downtown and the hospital was only 3 to 4 blocks away I thought it would be a no brainer. Well when we got there we where the only ppl so I thought good no wait. Well I was wrong the security guard was rude and talk to us like we where stupid. He said we had to fill out the paperwork on the desk but I didnt see and other workers just him. So I filled the paper work while my wife was in so much pain and crying. Then I took it to the front desk still no 1. I raised my voice slightly and said hello many times. finally a black lady peeked out from around the corner and told me to just wait. I was like what? Ive been waiting u dont even know how bad my wife is she in excruciating pain and crying I was really worried and they could care less. Finally the ER doors open from in back so I quickly ran to the back they were all out there just talking and laughing so I raised my voice just enough where everyone could here me. I said helloo are we not in an ER y isnt anyone concerned my wife is in terrible pain. Can someone plsplspls come at least see how much pain shes in so u can see this is an emergency. Do I have to go to another hospital? Then a really nice white lady walked over and said yes sorry lets go get her. She signed us in and I thought ok cool. I began to be a bit relived. We got to a room then she layed down still in alot of pain. This is where I got so up set and we I met her nurse "John" at first he seemed nice enough. He took blood and left. Then when he came back I asked him a couple of concerning questions. He was so rude to me like I had no right to ask them. All I asked wher things I felt that where important. From that point he was so mean and rude he ignored me evertime I talked to him he disappeared for long long periods of time when she would need somthing I litteraly would have to ask accounting and they would get another nice lady to come and help. This John guy was the worst and rudest nurse I had ever met. I litteraly had to get another doctor on the phone to know what too do. If u ever end up going to the ER here plsplspls avoid this John guy he is white has a beard. Get ready to wait along time for nothing. The Doctors where nice. But again our nurse John was the rudest guy ever. And they couldnt blame it on other ppl the ER only had maybe 4to 6 patients at the most that I saw and there staff was full. This experience here was terrible I really hope u ppl pls fix these problems. And at least do an investigation on this John guy and watch his customer service with ppl.

-5 stars should be an option for this hospital. My mom had a heart attack on sunday 4/17/16. She was brought into the hospital by ambulance.. They were nice at first but the next day it turned into a total nightmare. She flat-lined so they had to revive her by cpr. It is 4/22/16 and she is still in the hospital. She was placed in ICU and placed under sedation and placed on the ventilator. They started taking her off of sedation on 4/20/16. The nurse called me to tell me my mom was not being cooperative and that she is being unruly to the nurses. She still had a tube in her throat and was on the oxygen machine at this time. She was very confused which is understandable after everything that happened. I got back to the hospital that morning and the night before I asked them to wait til I get there for them to start bringing her out of sedation. They did not wait. She was crying a little when I got there. So Nurse Sylvia in ICU proceeded to tell me that she doesnt think my mother doesnt want to get better. I said you dont know my mom and how can you think that when she has been under sedation since she got here??? She changed her song after that. They also told me they gave her Xanax for her anxiety and asked her if she had ever had psychological help?? I am like are you serious??? She is still coming out of sedation and you are going to ask her that.... they kept giving her Xanax until yesterday evening on 4/21/16. I asked not to give her any more Xanax and they didnt. I stayed until 10 pm last night until another nurse was able to care for her. SHE HAD A HEART ATTACK AND THEY ARE TREATING HER LIKE A MENTAL PATIENT!!! I AM SO UPSET WITH THESE PEOPLE. This is my mother... I will not let this happen to her. This hospital will hear from me very soon.

My wife choose this hospital because here mom and aunts all delivered here, but the doctor they had was already retired so she just told she was going to get what ever Doctor was on duty wich was very bad no one ever knew what was going on they changed her due date 5 times in 2 weeks , also when she had low iron they didnt know until she told them to check if it was low and ended up that she did had low iron , when trying to schedule appointments theyre always over booked so they give you a 3 weeks away appointment but when there they take hours (3-4 hours of waiting)to assist you, if you have your appointment at 3 but not even get assistance until there available so theres no point to be there on time since they would not even go by appointment order they go by a sign in tablet. The worst , a day before leaving the hospital she ask the nurses ( because there was more then one she asked) ( we asked due to they had taken the baby to do blood work ) if they had fed the baby they said they THINK and would say theyll check the System but never get back with an answer, then after a nurse came by and started yelling saying why we didnt fed the baby when ever we kept on asking for assistance with the baby due to he didnt want to eat the formula but we didnt know if it was because of he was full then she said no one had fed him so my baby had a more then 9 hours with not eating , then the newborn pictures person came until we were leaving and to never saw the person who was in charge of register birth certificate , she had to go five days after giving birth , when she was giving birth the system when down and they were making her wait longer to get her apedural shot ,

I had an accident and was brought to their ER by ambulance. Before they do anything for me I asked them whether my insurance cover the fees and they said they dont know so I decided to leave the ER and I did not sign any documents and they said you are free to go and you know that when you dont sign anything they will not go further and take care of you. I had one call one month after that I should verify with them my SSN and I was explaining that I did not get any service from them when the rude assistant at the other side of the phone hung up the phone. Today, someone called me from collection office that send the money which you have been charged from this hospital or we will freeze your account. I went to St. Joseph hospital to figure out what the heck is going on and I found that they sent the bills to my address which the ambulance has provided them but they forgot to write the apartment number so as they have not heard back from me they just easily sold my documents to collection office. In the bill that I got after I go to hospital it shows that I have received some services that I did not get. This bill shows that they had constitutional. neck, respiratory, back, skin, MS/Extremity, Neuro, psych and head/face examinations while the only thing that I remember is that some one take my ID and asked my age and address for consciousness confirmation which shows this hospital is good in fake documentation and bill making. I do not recommend this hospital due to their irresponsibility for sending the bills and contacting the customer and the fake documentations they provided as the physician document.
