The only thing I liked about my extremely painful experience was the new nurse that was on the floor. I forget what her name is but she was very nice. The nurse that was showing her around was pretty rude but its whatever. The problem is that I have had a reoccurring issue with my shoulder popping out of its socket and when it does... It is extremely painful and hard to get back in unless I go to the hospital. The 3-4 other times I was treated at memorial Herman for my shoulder, they made sure I was comfortable until the doctor was ready to put me under to get my shoulder in place. Now, San Jacinto made me sit for an hour before they have me something that only worked for 15 minutes or less. As soon as the pain came back it became overwhelming and they refused to help me. I was sweating, shaking and crying for a couple hours. Then I had to wait even longer because they had to wait for the anesthesia.. Everybody seemed to be either overwhelmed or taking their time.. I dont know because the staff barely checked on me. When they did.. I asked for medicine. They treated me like I was a junkie begging. I was a patient in pain for hours. I explained to them what the other hospital had done to help evey time I had been through this. No one cared to listen. I guess I just sounded like a junkie. Finally they knock me out and get my shoulder in place. I wake up sooner than they expected. Completely aware and coherent which took the one nurse by surprise. She said I wasnt supposed to wake up for a while.. She was surprised that I wasnt all loopy. I have no idea why that happened. I asked about getting pain medication and that seemed weird to them. They literally had me sitting in pain for hours and now there is probably more damage to my shoulder than before. From the tensing and muscle spasms. I am in pain.. Its is 3 am and I cant sleep. The previous hospital had written me out a script for Vicodin 5s to last me a week per visit except the most recent visit about 8-9 months ago.. They had given me norcos. I dont remember the mg. For some odd reason the doctor sent me home with 6 tablets of Tylenol 3s. I asked him what the difference was but I already knew it wasnt going to help me. I took the prescribed medicine as directed.. I still have 2 left because I know how ridiculous the pain is going to be tomorrow.. Anyway.. I had called and spoke with the doctor about giving me something else. He could barely give me a reason other than "thats the highest dosage he could give me".. So it just sounded like I was being pinned as a pill head, looking to score. I mean, I am heavily tattooed and have some piercings.. I must be on drugs, right? So once again.. It is 3 in the morning and I am in pain. I am paying for a terrible hospital visit that didnt even X-ray my shoulder after they got it back into place... i dont understand what is going on. I am pretty disappointed and upset. ans by the looks of it.. Their reviews are pretty terrible.

I went in twice last week. Once I thought I had appendicitis because of my intense pain and feeling like I had a bad infection, with mild fever. The doctor was nice enough and did a CT scan and routine urine and blood test. He could see there was an infection but didnt really investigate what kind and sent me on my way with a shotgun antibiotic. The CT scan revealed I have an ovarian cyst, but he didnt bother to inform me if that or address it. Apparently ovarian cysts can mimic appendicitis. Especially if they burst. I feel they shouldve addressed all that. I went back a few days later due to extreme abdominal swelling to the point I looked and felt very far along pregnant. Also extreme dizziness. Every time I try to eat a little the swelling gets worse with the pain and the dizziness is intense. The doctor was a lady and extremely rude. She was very rough with me and treated me like I was a straight up annoyance to her. She basically told me I had no abdominal swelling, and that my symptoms were normal PMS and nothing to do with my cyst, that it is common and cysts come and go regularly without treatment. She also argued with me that 99.1 is not a fever, kept interrupting me sharply, and made me cry. She sent me home with bp of 171/151 and told me it was not high either. Oddly, she gave me a prescription for pain medicine so I dont know how that backed up her claim of my symptoms being PMS. At that point I was so upset I was just glad to get away from her, she was borderline abusive to me. Luckily, the follow up Doctor I saw today at Legacy was extremely concerned, thorough and kind. He promptly put me on blood pressure medicine that doubles as a diuretic for edema. He said he knew I was swollen, and agreed that my symptoms are far from PMS and need to be investigated. He agreed with me that there are several types of cysts and some are worse than others and will not just go away without treatment. He referred me to a OB GYN and for a vaginal ultrasound so that they can address and treat my cyst. He was very understanding and compassionate, reassuring me not to worry and promising that he will be there for me through this. He also scheduled me for follow up in two weeks with him to address the cyst and blood pressure. I am so thankful and literally cried and asked God to bless this man as soon as he left the room. I thanked God for answering my prayers and sending me a competent Doctor. Legacy clinic and this Dr, Dr. Shah, are a Godsend. Regrettably, the ER doctors I delt with lately are subpar at best. I will be filling a formal complaint on the two ER doctors.

Worst hospital stay ever, my pain went unevaluated the entire time I was left in the ER waiting room when rooms were available in the back, but no they wanted to wait till my bloodwork came back before deciding if I even was to be seen, then once admitted I find outfrom the finance department that I was admitted as observation even though they knew I needed surgery and because of it I now owed a $300 copay and I needed to put a downpayment down, I said you will have to bill me, she says "You arent going to pay something towards your responsibility" I said "What part of you will have to bill me did you not understand" to which she rezpibded with I will have to tell them about this. I almost left AMA right then, but my gall bladder waz dangerously close to going septic. I then had a really bad experience with my attending which isnt even a doctor with the hospital instead she wotks with this service called Sound Physicians and in no way waz she a sound physician because it is the only service the hospital uses they decided to blackball me when I requested a new attending and told me you are stuck with her as your attending unless you find your own doctor to take over. What hospital tells a patient you have to find your own attending really, you assigned her to me I didnt request her. I will never use this hospital again I will drive the extra miles to channelview or pasadena to a different facility. I dont care if I am in seripus distress I will drive downtown to St. Lukes where my primary care has privileges before ever returning here, ever, I do not care if I am dying and the ambulance takes me here I will demand a xfer immediately. I do not recommend anyone go here. The pnly redeeming part of this stay was the Gallbladder surgeon Dr. Kumdi other then that the rest of the doctors suck well except my ER doc Dr Gangani(sp?) he was very nice.
