I have to start by saying that I, like most people, love my pet very much and view him as part of my family. I believe that anyone wanting to be in the pet service industry should treat pets and their families with respect and common courtesy. My dog (& a considerable amount of $$) have been going to WAAC for about 2 1/2 years. In that time the level of customer service & quality of medical service has decline substantially. We brought our dog in to be boarded for 2 nights. When we came to pick him up, like people have said below, the front desk staff ignored us and talked amongst themselves. We waited for at least 5-8 mins before being addressed. Then it took another 10 mins just for them to find someone to get our dog from the back. When we left I noticed that they had trimmed his claws but it looked like it had been done hastily and left extremely jagged edges. Since he is usually tired after boarding he laid on the floor and closed his eyes to , I assumed, rest. When I got home I realized there was a BIG problem with one of his eyes....he couldnt even hold it open. I couldnt believe they had not noticed this while he was there..they are vets after all!!!! So we got back in the car and drove back to WAAC. The same discourteous behavior occurred with the front desk staff only this time they were making fun of a client that had just called in on the phone in front of us. We asked to have the vet look at our dog and we were told that he could be brought to the back but we could not come with him and because they were medicating animals (lie, ever heard of a exam room) could not talk to the vet because they were to busy. After expressing that this was unacceptable we were left to wait for even longer. Then miraculously the vet COULD see us...she was nice, looked at him for about 8 mins, said it was probably a scratched eye...which is no surprise b/c his claws looked like someone to a weed-eater to them, and prescribed some ointment. We gathered him up to go but were stopped at the door to pay out....$90 bill!!!!! For a "comprehensive exam" and medication. Again, we had to argue and they agreed to waive the visit but insisted we pay for the medication. After this whole debacle we wanted to speak to a manager but were referred to the office manager who is there only on week days for a few hours. WE WILL NEVER BRING OUR DOG BACK TO WAAC. They are driving their loyal business away with extremely poor customer service. I expect way more from a vet and so should every pet owner. On a side note when we got home our dog ate and drank like he hadnt had access to food or water so it makes me question even their boarding practices.

I was taking care of my friends dog and noticed he dug through my kitchen garbage in the middle of the night and was extremely sick. The dog always went to this vet clinic.I was on the phone making an appointment, sounding extremely distressed and they had a "Yeah, so what?" attitude. After making the appointment, I realized on the way there that I had left my wallet on the kitchen counter. When I called back to tell them I didnt have my wallet on me (left in a rush) but I would come back with it after I brought the dog to see them, they told me I would not be allowed to see the vet, canceled my appointment and refused to charge this to the owners account. I mean I can understand if the dog had never been there before, but they knew the owner and had the dog on file! I had to turn around for my wallet, rush back, make another appointment (women at the desk are snotty btw). And at the end they didnt even CHARGE MY CARD for the visit! They said they would send an e-mail to the owner for their credit information! They wasted precious time making me turn around for nothing! I will say the vet that saw the dog was sweet as can be and very attentive, but an over night stay too look him over cost ~$700!!! I 100% believe they are taking advantage of wealthy animal lovers convincing them that they are the best when truthfully they are AVERAGE at most! The vets are nice people, but the desk people are rude. I never want to see this place again.

I have been taking my dog here for 10 years. I have moved from the area about a year ago, but I still drive over 25 miles to use the same veterinary clinic. Why? Because every time I have brought my dog here, the employees are pleasant, the vets are knowledgeable and they only do what is necessary. My dog has had a surgery for bladder stones and has had some skin issues through the years and has a sensitive stomach. They are flexible in scheduling, offer Saturday times, and the best part?? They have grooming and boarding on the same property along with separate cat door entrance. Camping as Harley knows it... Peace of mind when traveling - knowing the vet with my dogs history is under the same (expanded) roof as the boarding area when I am out of town. And what is best? Family atmosphere and great customer service. Dr. Vasser and all the other aggie vets rock. My dog - Hookem Harley has been treated the best and I cannot be happier with everyone at the Animal Clinic. (They offer Sunday pick up too now for boarding...) Try them out. And all the folks at the receptionist desk are great. Karen (I think is the name) has been there a long time too and is always a familiar, calm voice when you call for advice! Professional, kind, and fairly priced. You will be pleased.

I took my cat in for a checkup and to check out a cough. The checkup was practically nonexistent. It consisted of taking her temp and feeling her stomach. Nothing else was done. But I was charged for a full checkup. The cat was x-rayed to check for asthma which was found and treated. But there was something else that piqued the vets curiosity. She asked her colleagues and said that all they had to say was weird. She asked if it would be ok to send the x-rays to a specialist as it was an area of concern for her. I said ok. Little did I know the visit would cost almost 400$ and that more than 100$ went to the xray specialist. I was told I would be called the next day. I was not called until the following week. And the vet told me that the xray specialist that cost me dearly had said weird. Thats it. I was told I could bring her in for more xrays. Why? More comments of weird costing me more than 100$ a pop? I think not. Also, as mentioned previously, the counter staff was quite rude. More distressing than that was the two cats in the cage in the waiting area. One was panting visibly and the other used the bathroom in the water they were to drink because the floor space on the cage was so small. I will not be returning.
