I have been in several rehab situations over the past four+ years, so I feel eminently qualified to rate Kindred Rehab. The staff, and I mean every staff member, are caring and proactive. Ive been here for quite some time and everyone does what they can to help me through. Since I have been here for a time, I have been privileged to watch many patients work their way through and out. I have watched the professionalism and team work with patient after patient. My own team has worked very hard to help me physically but also they have done all that they can to keep my spirits up and my mind in the game. No place is perfect and this one does have its problems just like any other facility. However, when I have called them on specific problems; the administration has been attentive and has either fixed the issue or at least done what they could. They have recently added community outings for qualified patients. This had been a sore spot but they listened and fought for that possibility. Another issue is that there are no activities beyond therapy. For me that is not that big of a problem but I have occasionally wished for something to occupy my time. Although, many of the residents have managed to find domino partners! Where we take our loved ones when they need more than we can give is a critical decision and often one we face with trepidation. I hope that you can trust me when I say that Kindred NE is the real deal. The entire staff, from the therapists, to the kitchen, to the nurses, to the techs, to the custodians, to the security, to the administration; everyone works as a team to treat your loved one with as much care as they have shown me. Ive watched and lived it for over a year. These are good people and they do good work.

I was in kindred in april 2015. I recieved the best care from nurses, techs, ot and pt in rehab. the in patient and out patient rehab is the best there is. i was in a wreck in march 2012 and was told i would be on a walker the rest of my life and probably would never drive again due to a bad injury to my right ankle.but thanks to inpatient and outpatient rehab, they gave me back my confidence, i am off my walker and am able to start learning to drive again. the rehab personnel told me it was a 50/50 situation, but in my mind it was a 90/10, them being 90.the ones i worked with the most when i was in hosp was ivan, jai, and alicia. i didnt have john, but i saw the way he worked especially with the senior citizens, he was so compassionate with them and gave them the confidence they needed to get better. i have never liked to exercise but i couldnt wait to get to rehab everyday and workout. and now my out patient rehab. the best there is, rod, not enough words to say about this young man, if there were more men like him,i hope when i get older i have someone as wonderful is he is taking care of me. faye, rosemary and frank, i couldnt wait to get there as an outpatient, i loved them and i loved working out and them showing me stuff i never thought i would ever be able to do. and now i am proof that i can do things. my mothernlaw fell and broke her hip a couple of weeks ago, when it was time to go to rehab, we strongly recommend kindred rehab northeast houston. and just as we expected they came thru, she is not completely healed but she is on her way there. also the rooms are like staying in a hotel. i am a very picky eater, but loved the food there. overall i recommend this place 100%. anyone who goes there will be very pleased.

Im not a person who often leaves reviews but I feel the need to publicly praise Kindred Northeast and their very well-trained staff. Not only is it a new and beautiful building, but theyve also got the most cohesive nursing/rehabilitation staff Ive ever seen. My 77-year old mother came here following a surgery that resulted from a fall. Shes a very proud and private woman who can be difficult to please, but this incredible and empathetic staff knew how to get her to drop her guard and focus on the task at hand, all while making it an enjoyable experience. No one likes to be in a hospital, but with the amount of positive attention she received in addition to therapy she was up and walking with a smile on her face in no time. It was easy to see why. The staff took a genuine interest in her well-being, as well as all of the other patients we saw come and go. The nurses were prompt, knowledgable and caring, a combination that guarantees successful rehabilitation. On top of the already superior treatment, my wife and I were blown away when we were walking the halls with my mother during a midday visit. The CEO, Mr. Reagan Simpson, knew my mother by name, proceeded to ask specific questions about her latest progress, and visited with us as we all walked back toward her room. Ive never in all my hospital experiences had a CEO glance in our direction, much less take the time to speak with us. Mother wasnt a number there, which was again obvious during the follow-up call after being discharged. The phone call lasted 20+ minutes with a lot of laughing and genuine "thank yous" being exchanged. Kindred Northeast is the only rehab hospital to send someone as indescribably precious to you as your mother. Im grateful beyond words.

My 84 year old mother spent several weeks at Kindred Rehabilitation Hospital in NE Houston after she was released from a hospital in Clearlake. ( She had broken bones and cracked ribs from a very bad fall.) We had an excellent experience and outcome. In fact, she is physically stronger and has better balance than before her fall. She looks forward to returning for out patient Physical Therapy at Kindred. This speaks to Kindreds professional, caring staff because prior to this experience at Kindred, she didnt want anything to do with PT! The staff and case manager did a great job communicating with me and training me for the next phase of care. I would recommend Kindred Rehabilitation Hospital NE to anyone needing a facility such as this in the Kingwood, Humble, Summerwood area or considering one for a loved one. Lisa Olsen Stout

I have been a patient at Kindred Rehabilitation Hospital Northeast Houston 5 times since April 2012, when they first opened. I have Multiple Sclerosis and my treatment is by IV infusion. Kindred is able to provide the IV infusion so I am able to start my therapy much sooner than my prior hospitalizations. The staff is very professional, friendly, and concerned about your progress and treatment. The private rooms are wonderful and allow you to get the rest that you need. The staff work as a Team and have you on the road to recovery immediately. I would highly recommend Kindred to family and friends that are in need of rehabilitation. Now that the Outpatient Therapy is open Kindred is a Win, Win for everyone. concerned.

When you are in need of a care giver for you loved one it can be a scary and trying time. From the first initial surprise visit to Kindred to the day my father was released Kindred was amazing. My father suffered a stroke in December and we had him in Kindred for his rehabilitation and they were very thorough with him and patient. My father was sent to a skilled nursing facility for further care and when his time had run out Kindred was more than happy to arrange him to be transferred back for further improvement. My father was able to be released to our care as a result of the wonderful care he received. No place is perfect when it comes to the care of your loved one but Kindred was by far able to exceed expectations.
