Noticing all the smiling progress pictures in the evaluation room at Maximal Health, I can see how hundreds of patients line the walls with with upward arrows, indicators of their improved health. Improved sleep, less pain, better posture, lower blood pressure, and I think wow, thats great! ...And its a shame these people have felt so unhealthy. Then I realized, I was seeking my own Maximal Health if you will. As a mid twenty something athletic person I feel in tune -for the most part- with my body and have always been able to pinpoint something being out of place. I get good sleep and stretch, sweat and eat a balanced -again, for the most part- clean, diet. But I couldnt forecast a hospital visit landing me a four day stay and more antibiotics than I could have imagined. In addition to identifying what had me in the hospital, it was difficult to maintain my daily habits of exercise, and diet. With restrictions on my daily activities after I was released from the hospital my body had become sore and stiff; what had been very random sciatic nerve pain throughout my athletic mid twenties, I was suddenly crippled with around the clock, crazy nerve pain from my lower back down to my toe. The LAST thing on my mind was calling upon another physician to mask the pain with more pharmaceuticals, bills, tests, whatever. I work in healthcare and I appreciated the antibiotics doing their job, really. But while my body is young and has the ability to be healthy, I want to do my part in maintaining it with as much organic and holistic care as possible. My dad use to get onto me when I was younger about never putting oil in my car... we have a similar conversations now when it comes to the things he puts in his body to keep it running. You put gas in the gas tank, and water on a plant; our bodies need to be aligned and fueled and repaired in the ways that allow us for longevity. Thats where Dr. Black and Dr. Kelly come in. When they say that they test, they dont guess... thats no joke. Dr. Black did what seemed like more than enough in scans, and tests during my consult and my x-rays were exciting to review and have communicated so clearly. My personalized treatment plan and the attention paid to me personally has been unmatched. After just 2 weeks of treatment Im feeling as good as I was before my hospital stay and through my healing in that journey I look forward to the continuing the plan built for me. Feels good to feel good.

Dr. Black and Dr. Kelly are AMAZING!!! They are always super thorough and making sure Im comfortable. The front office Jamies are the BEST, always on top of everything and making sure everyone is taken care of and holding me accountable when I slack off on appointments. This office is not just about getting more clientele, they care about their patients and educating you on your health. Monthly they have seminars to help improve your quality of life health wise, they help set health goals and try to get you where you want to be, as well as providing healthy snacks and refreshments for after your adjustments. And if that wasnt enough they also have wobble balls to help with stretching the spine, as well as some pretty cool full body massage chairs!!! If you are having any kinds of back pain or discomfort come see this chiropractic office for sure!!!!

Why i choose to have adjustmants and more specifically, why i choose Dr Black: In my short experience with chiropractic care, i have learned that getting adjusted regularly helps aleviate more problems than just back pain in general!! How Dr Black fits into the equation is where it gets exciting!! Dr Black does so much more for his patients than just spine adjustments. He strives for his patients to achieve their optimal health!! Dr Black dives deep into the relm of diet, medical science, functionality, and how the spine and spine nerves directly corrolate to specific areas of the body, as well as just chiropractic care!! I had a really frightening experience with a chiropractor when i was young but after my initia visit with Dr Black all my fears went away!! Cant say enough good things about him and his team as well!!

I went to see Dr. Black for a consultation. They worked with me so I could complete the consultation in 2 visits. I paid the fee of approximately $245. After the consultation was complete I decided not to return. However, a month or so later I received a claim on my insurance of $1840. No services were rendered. I did not receive an alignment or any type of therapy. I contacted the office and was informed I didnt owe them anything in addition to what I had already paid. Dr. Black and Dr. Kelly are intelligent and respectful. I cannot fault them there, but I wish they would explain these types of things a little more in depth when covering billing. When I opened the letter from my insurance company I was caught off guard.

Ive been coming here for about a month now, after moving from another chiropractors office. I have been seeing a chiro for about 3 years and had incremental success. In just one month here, I feel relieved of my sciatica, GERDS and improved neck posture without pain. Sure, theres work to do - but Dr. K & Dr. B are both positive and knowledgeable. They spend the time to get to know each patient and share insight on more than just popping your back. I like that there is a lab on site, and a few hi-tech machines to warm up the back first. Also - massage chairs are a plus, even though Im usually in a rush. I definitely suggest spending your investment here and giving the "test dont guess" process a go!

I was lucky I did not get into this trap. A colleague referred me here as I was having back problem for a month. He asked me to come with wife to discuss result. Now I realize, I was lucky as she could not go. This guy showed me some thermal scans and told me you have lot of problem which needs to be taken care of and quoted somewhat more than $3000. I came back and did not go there again. His office kept calling me asking to come with my wife to discuss. Anyway, I consulted one of my family friend who is a doctor and he told me to do certain exercise. Now I am relieved from the pain within one month.

I originally came to Dr. Black due to pain and discomfort in my back and shoulders which radiated down through my arm. It was keeping me from doing all the things I loved doing and disrupting nearly every aspect of my life. Ever since starting chiropractic care here at Dr. Blacks office i have experienced definite improvement in my health and quality of life. I may not be back to my normal self but I definitely am happy to be moving in the right direction. I am now a believer in chiropractic care and would like others to know the benefits of this office.

I have been a patient of Maximal Health for about 4 months now and I have to say that I feel at 100% again thanks to Dr. Black I really enjoy how the staff member Josh educates you about the basic knowledge of bone structure, nerve system, body functions..etc At maximal health you really learn a lot and you will understand why your body reacts a certain way to the adjustments. I highly recommend this office to anybody who wants to improve overall health and heal your body instead of covering up symptoms by popping pills every couple of hours.
