Our daughter was born in 1987 with a disability. Her handicap was not diagnosed until 1991. Dr. Bottenfield was her pediatrician beginning 1989. Our daughter was then 2 yrs old. Upon her first visit he recognized her issues with sleep apnea and immediately ordered a tonsillectomy/adnoidectomy which we had done less than a week later due to the severeness of it. She had been going to TX Childrens in Houston and they never once listened to our concerns. We cannot express the gratitude we have for Dr. B. His attentiveness is to be highly commended. I would not recommend any other pediatrician in the area. Our daughter has Prader-Willi Syndrome, which back then there was little known, even by physicians. Dr. B took the time to research this disorder and was always available at any given time. Five years later our second daughter was born. Knowing the complications we had with our first born, Dr. B was right there during the entire birth as well as becoming her follow-up doctor. We HIGHLY recommend Dr. Bottenfield as a pediatric physician. I was thrilled to hear he was still in practice. If youre blessed to have his as your childs doctor he wont disappoint you when push comes to shove. Our daughter with PWS is now 25 years old. Thank you Dr. Bottenfield for everything!

We only saw Dr. Bottenfield once for a well visit. He was very nice and thorough. A couple of months later my son started running high fever and Tylenol wasnt breaking it. This is the first time he has been sick and as a new mom I was very concerned. I called the office to see what to do. The nurse said she would have someone call me back. Hours later we still had not been contacted. My husband called again and was told the same thing. At 4:30 we called yet again and they told us to take him to an urgent care. I expect a Dr office to see their patients when they are sick or they could have told us that morning to take him to urgent care if they could not see him. It was not cool to make us wait and worry all day.

Staff here is great. However if youre child is sick they wont even work them in. My daughter is two and this has been a problem on a number of occasions. I feel like there should be more of a sense of urgency when scheduling for sick children. I am sad that this is the case because we are really happy with the level of care we receive from the Physician Assistants. I will find another pediatrician today and would not recommend this office to anyone.

Dr. Bottenfield has been my Dr. for a very long time. He has ALWAYS helped my children for everything, He has even helped my fears about different issues the kids might have had. I have always been able to get an appointment and even worked in when busy. The staff is so very helpful, on the phone and in person. My children are completely comfortable with him. We would not want any other office. Thank you for letting me post.

I love Bottenfield, he is just the pedi you want coming to the hospital with your new baby. He is so calm and soothing, really takes his time to get to know you and baby. I really dont understand the reviews saying not the place for a sick child. Any time one of my little ones is sick they always get them in the same day I call. I do however prefer their second location in downtown lj. So fast and Lucinda is amazing!

Always nice to see Dr. B., but the wait time is rediculous! We are consistently waiting 30 minutes to be called back only to wait another 15 min for him to see us. I understand that some patients are sicker than others, but perhaps the time allotment should be increased. The healthcare in the military was more considerate than this.

Absolutely the best pediatrician in the area. I love his office. They are always quick to see your child if they are sick. I would recommend them to anyone. My daughter has had serious health issues and they were very quick to diagnose and treat her!

My daighter has been suffering for 2 years with seziures. I kwpt telling doctor bottenfield and his underlings of her seziures. Finally recently he sent us to a nero. My daughter was found to have eplispsey with a small mass in her left hippocampus.

Dr.B has been my pediatrician for my whole life and he has always helped cure me when I was sick. If you have a kid, I definitely recommend you taking him/her to Dr.B.

I have been using him for 7 years, and now both my children use him. I will not go anywhere else. My kids love him, his staff is very helpful, his PAs are amazing.

They are never on time. You have to wait like 2 hours in the waiting room before they even see them. And they never try to work in sick children.

Not the right doctor for an ill child you will want to only use his office if your child is healthy! Shame that he is a pediatrician.
