Worst experience ever! I called in to schedule an appointment, I was booked for Friday at 3:30, and when I arrived they couldnt find my appointment. Then they ask me to fill out my form, assuming theyve found my appointment. I wait in the lobby for at least 20 minutes and finally they call me in! The nurse sees me for a few moments and swabs my mouth to check for strep. 40 minutes later...Dr. Williams finally sees me. Why did she take 40 minutes? Well you see worried I was forgotten about I opened the door and overheard across the hall what appeared to be a social conversation with a patient. The patient went on and on about his family and cabin and Dr. Williams asked him more questions and told him about her kid. REALLY?! At that point it was closing time for them and here I was waiting an hour at this point to be seen. I asked the nurse if I would be seen soon (shortly before Dr. Williams stepped into room) and the nurse said some patients had been late due to the bad weather. Bad weather or not...I was there 15 minutes early and shouldnt have to wait an hour because others were late Thats not the worst of the visit though! Dr. Williams asks me general medical information: do you have allergies, do you have family history of this or that. I tell her about my allergies and looks at my throat and quickly makes her diagnosis and says that my throat hurts because I have a nasal drip due to allergies. I knew then just as I know now that it is not allergies! When multiple people at my office have the same symptoms: cough, sore throat, running nose, ect. Can you really say its because of general allergies?! I deal with allergies and unless its cats (which Im not around) they only make eyes itchy. Her recommendation was that I rest and take daily allergy medication. I argued my point and she ended up giving a prescription for a "new" allergy medication, some cough medicine, and a Z pack. Finally were done! Right? No...I get to the pharmacy window and I of course forgot my insurance card for that so I have them send the medication to my local Walgreens. The pharmacist there quickly tells me that the allergy medication that shes given me is discontinued and I can take Zyrtec D or other over the counter allergy medications. He looks like he calls it in and I go home only to find that Walgreens never got my prescription and here I am all weekend without medicine. I call in on Monday (today) and they are completely unapologetic and tell me that they phoned it into CVS. So if you want to wait a long time for a generic diagnosis and go without your prescriptions for the weekend because they were sent to the wrong pharmacy...definitely check this clinic out! At this rate you may be sick of being sick!

I had a UTI a few months ago. They were booked up, so they told me to go ahead and walk on in. I was in and out after 3 hours. I was back a month or so later with the same problem. This time I made an appointment and was in with the doctor after 20 minutes. When I first went into the office, the nurse made some snotty remark about how I was in the office again for the same problem. Mrs. Beck told me I had a really bad infection and that they would need to run a culture. She said she would call me in a few days with the results... I never received a call. After a week of waiting, I called up the office. They told me they had never run the culture, because there wasnt enough of a sample. That certainly wasnt true. When I further inquired about the situation, I received two replies. One: Um.. that means you didnt pee enough? and Two: Oh..uh... the doctor changed her mind about sending it in. Okay...so I had to go in again and get another culture sent in. This was a few days before Christmas. It took me two hours to get in and out, because there was a party going on in back. They told me to call back for my results on Thursday. They were closed for Christmas Eve- understandable, but you think they would have told me to call on Monday instead. When I did call up on Monday, a receptionist told me that it didnt matter if the results were in yet or not... no one was available to discuss the results with me anyway... When I asked her to check, she said that (sigh) she would. After being on hold for a second or two, she told me that they werent in yet. This is some of the most unprofessional behavior I have ever witnessed. Comparable to a dentist who lied about me having 12 cavities...

Ive been a patient of Dr. Komendas for a few years now. I like their office. Dr. Komenda tells it to you straight. Their office has a little play room for kids (I dont have any, but its nice that they offer that) and they have their own pharmacy. Honestly, this might be one of the best things about going to Dr. Komendas office, its a one-stop-shop. I see the Dr., he hands the prescription to the pharmacist, and they give me what I need right there (at the same price as a regular pharmacy or cheaper). I dont have to go to another pharmacy, wait around for an hour (or more), have them reject my insurance, screw up my prescription, call the doctor back because theres an issue, blah blah blah. In... out... done! I have and would recommend Dr. Komenda.

We went here when my oldest was a baby and always had a great experience. We moved to the Denton area and this was just to far of a drive to continue going here. I really miss this office and staff, they were always so nice to us. It was also a family practice so we could all see the same doctor. Dr. Komenda was just wonderful, and being first time parents at the time, he was able to set our minds at ease at every visit. They also had a pharmacy inside their office that made everything just that more perfect! Even though Im happy with our new pediatrician I still really miss this office and staff!

Nurse practitioner Dr. Geenie is one of the warmest health experts I have encountered. She is so very kind and willing to share her knowledge. Even at 8 or 9 months pregnant, she was seeing patients back to back. Ive never felt rushed even with her full schedule. My favorite doctor yet. The front desk staff can be somewhat rude and not the most pleasant to deal with, but the service behind the doors speaks volumes.

Dr Komenda and his staff are the best you will find in west Plano. They are attentive to your needs, will fit you into their busy day if youre sick, and have a pharmacy in their office. I would highly recommend this practice if you are ill and need a doctor.

I really like the doctors here. The facilities are.... decorative, but clean and comfortable. My only complaint is they have an in-house pharmacy. They fill all your prescriptions on site rather than letting you pick your own pharmacy.

Dr Komenda has been my internist for many years. He is always on top of my treatment and uses new treatments and the latest med. info. Office staff could be better, but every doctor has the same problem.
