My Lab Rusty has been coming here since she was a pup. Dr. Staph and his staff are always friendly and professional. Rusty actually looks forward to her visits. Its not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Highly recommended! As for mrv_planos comments, you can buy everything cheaper on the internet. You pay more at the vet because he hands meds to you when you leave. You pay for that convenience, and the vet takes on the financial risk of carrying inventory, deals with storing it, etc. until you arive and need it. Basic business 101. ***UPDATE 1/11/2017 ... Unfortunately my 13 y/o lab Rusty passed away last summer, but since my last review I bring my now 4 yr old chocolate lab Daisy for all of her treatment, and she usually sees Dr. Liska. We love Dr. L! Great attitude and you can tell he cares about the animals he treats. He will spend time with you and answer all of your questions in a thoughtful friendly manner. Daisy loves coming here too. Again, highly recommended.

My husband and I are moving to California and were passing through Plano to visit family for the weekend. The boys were both due for a vaccine before we could board them and our older dog Dodger began limping and not wanting to put weight on his back foot. Dr. Staph and his team worked in both of our babies for a visit today. Dr. Staph is by far the most knowledgable and caring vet I have had the pleasure of meeting. He did a thorough examination of both our boys and explained everything that was going on. Even though he knew we wouldnt be repeat customers because we were only passing through he treated us and our dogs as if we were long time patients. I would highly recommend Dr. Staph and team to anyone who is looking for someone to care for their furbabies.

I have 3 rescued greyhounds and 1 rescued whippet. Im so relieved and happy to have found the vets and staff at Highpoint Animal Hospital. My "spooky" dog always starts trembling when she gets to any vets office, but as soon as the staff and any of the veterinarians come in, she becomes calm and collected. The clinic is spotlessly clean, the staff are concerned and caring, the veterinary care is A+ and the costs, reasonable. When I have to bring my dogs in for anything I know theyre in great hands. If they took human patients, Id go there! ;-) Ive recommended High Point to several people and theyre all as pleased with it as I am.

We have used Ted Staph for 20 years. He is undoubtably the best vet in the world. He has taken care of 4 of our dogs and a duck. His care and concern for your pet is as if it was his own. Recently, by mistake, we gave our 2 year old Boxer the wrong medicine for 4 days. When we discovered what we had done and called Ted, he jumped into action because what we had done was lethal to our dog. His knowledge and continual training he does was the reason our dog lived. There is no price for our pets and I dont care what he charges. He saved my dog after I nearly killed her. Thank you and your staff for all you do.

Recently I took my dogs in to get their shots, which they havent had in years. They were very perceptive to point out some other symptoms that my older dog Jack had as well, just by giving him a look over. I appreciate the fact that they didnt just see my pets as another day at the office and were kind and loving to them. The girl Taylor was a sweetheart. Also, I was happy to see their prices were kinda affordable, I have seen more expensive veterinarian places.

Vet was very personable and seems to know what he is doing but watch out for high cost of medications offered. I found their prices to carry a 200% mark up. Here are some examples. Dermachlor K Shampoo, their cost, $38.50, internet cost $18.79 Ketoconazole 200mg, their cost, $45.10 for 30 tabs, $25.99 for 100 tabs Simpliceff (Cefpodoxime 200mb) their cost, $4.12 per tablet, internet cost $2.24 They stick it to you so watch out!!!!
