I posted this on Yelp!, thought I would share with google+. I went in for a yearly routine "mole check". First time with the doctor as I had just moved temporarily from Houston to Dallas. The experience, once there, was mediocre at best. The doctor had very little concern or respect for my time. The real issue came once it was time to pay for the bill. The first bill I received was from the doctors office claiming that it was already late. Instantly paid. I then had multiple companies send me bills for tests, I guess the doctors office took it upon themselves to order extra testing, fine, whatever. Instantly paid. Now I have a third company, who claims they ran tests on the mole, except I never received any bill from them-- only the notice from the collection agency. Im not a dermatologist, but I dont see how a simple mole check can turn into such a billing nightmare and involve 3 separate companies testing the single mole. In total, with a great private insurance policy, this relatively routine appointment costs me over $1,000.00. This was 5 times what it has been at my last 2 dermatologists (appx. 200 per yearly visit). When I called to discuss why they sent the mole to so many labs for tests, I got the generic "Im not a doctor, but you can make an appointment and come see one" speech. I highly recommend going to a different doctor and saving the money for something worthwhile.

I recently relocated to Dallas, TX and needed to find a new Dermatologist. I came across North Texas Dermatology in Richardson (where I work) and decided to give the place a shot. The staff answering the phones were welcoming and very helpful. In a matter of minutes (as a new patient), my appointment was scheduled and I did not have months to see the doctor. Instead, they got me the following week insofar as I was in need of an immediate prescription renewal. I was very impressed with the entire experience and highly recommend North Texas Dermatology if youre looking for a Dermatologist in the area. They were professional and not in the business to make an extra buck like so many specialists you visit these days.

I needed to see a dermatologist so I went to North Texas Dermatology because it was the closest one. I set up an appointment and they said they covered BCBS. I saw the PA for about 90 seconds at my appointment and the problem still has not been resolved. Furthermore, I got charged $95 after my $40 copay. I called in to verify why I was charged and if the charges were correct and got a very rude response. Since then, I have gone to my PCP, where they have been more helpful on the case.

Absolutely no respect for patients time. My wife goes here, and had an appointment for 10:45, and arrived early. She wasnt taken back to an examination room for 35 minutes after her appointment time, and didnt see the doc (Darby) until almost 11:45. Thus is a dermatologist clinic, so its not like theyre taking emergency surgery calls. Completely unacceptable.

The wait time tends to be up to an hour, not including wait time once you are in the exam room. A nurse barged into my appointment to ask for help with reading another patients chart. Not a huge deal, but no apology or acknowledgment of her intrusion. Doctors seem impatient. Would not recommend!

Dr. Julie Darby is amazing, i had pimples on my face for last 2 years and was struggling to control them, Dr. Julies medicine did wonders, i have no more pimples! I showed my skin to couple of doctors before and their medication only dried my skin up. Strongly recommends Dr. Julie for pimpleson face!
