I have been a customer since I moved to San Antonio in 2006. I had tried two other vets before coming across ANAH, and was very dissapointed. I was so happy when I came across ANAH, I recommend them to all my friends and even strangers that inquire about quality veterinary care. After 13 years, due to health problems, it was necessary to euthanize my dog and the staff was wonderful during this time of pain for my family. After a year of not having a four-legged family member, I finally adopted a new dog. And I have continued to be a loyal customer to ANAH. Although I have moved to the Rio Grande Valley, I believe that I may still take the trip up north for annual exams. As many may know, quality healthcare for the four-legged kind is hard to find and once its found its hard to look for a change...with the new renovations the location looks fabulous!

A very busy place. Wait times are long. They will answer the phone and put you on hold forever. Forget phone contact. Had an excellent Vet at one visit, but never saw the same Vet again, always someone different.What made us stop taking our dogs there was a particular visit when my dog needed x-rays, and $ 400.00 of lab work. I think we were discharged by a secretary, she was about 19, and had no idea what to tell us other than : " The doctor is too busy to talk to you, but the dog is OK.".That is terrible customer service. The only thing that happens quickly and efficiently there is accepting payment for the bill. No one is ever too busy for that.

Great vets. Great staff. Acres North is the only vet I trust. They will honestly tell you what you need and they wont try to trick you into extra things just to make money like some vets do. I was referred by a friend who has been taking her dogs and cats to them for over 15 years. When my cat had her kittens, they told me everything I needed to know to take care of them. When my disabled cat died, they were very respectful and considerate in handling the remains. They dont overcharge and they can work out payment arrangements with you if you dont have the money up front-- at Acres North, the life and health of the pet comes first.

We love Acres North Animal Hospital. We have taken all 3 of our dogs to them over the last 6 years. They were absolutely wonderful, caring and compassionate when we had to put our 4 year old yellow lab to sleep due to a seizure disorder. They also offer "doggy day care" which is very affordable compared to the large chain type pet stores in the area. They are open until 6 p.m. during the week and until 3 p.m. on Saturdays which makes getting our pets in for care SO easy for working folks. Plus they are conveniently located just off 281 at Thousand Oaks. I highly recommend this clinic for all of your pets healthcare needs.

Id like to go into detail about why Im giving them 5 stars, but having to say good bye to such a wonderful and sweet dog after nearly 13 years together is too hard to write about. So Ill just give Dr. LaRue and her coworkers 5 stars for showing so much compassion and warmth during the hardest times of being a paw parent. Thank you all so very much and giving me a few extra minutes with Pepper afterwards.

Ive been here a few times in the past 5 years with two different dogs and every time they tried to sell me stuff I didnt need. One time they said my dog had heart worms and recommended about $800 worth of medical care. I immediately drove 80 miles to a vet in my home town and what you know heart worm negative!

The receptionists are very kind and helpful and the doctor is very good. Their prices are also good as are the waiting room times. Ill be bringing all my pets here from now on. I highly recommend this vet :)
