My puppy did get the basic check up and flea treatment we went for. The staff seemed pretty rushed which is understandable but not the care I was expecting based on recommendations I had gotten from family who also go here. When I scheduled the appointment I asked about the cost of the check up, flea treatment and dewormer. The prices I was told were very reasonable. While we were there they mentioned that her nails needed to be clipped and that they could do it, I said yes without asking the cost( my mistake but I thought they had good prices). When we got ready to leave my bill was about twice what I expected. Everything they had given me a price for over the phone was double what they had told me and they charged $15 to cut her nails. I didnt ask about the cost on the nail cutting so thats my fault,but that is triple what Ive spent in the past. I asked about the prices they had given me over the phone versus the bill I was paying and was given various excuses. I was quoted a basic checkup but they gave her comprehensive, the vet doesnt like the dewormer that I was given a price for so they gave her the more expensive one, same thing on the flea treatment. I told them when I made the appointment that this was a puppy I had just adopted from the shelter. Why wouldnt they give me the price to do a comprehensive exam on her? Obviously a new puppy from the shelter would need one. I feel like the whole thing was a bait and switch. The worst part is if they had given me accurate pricing when I called I still would have taken her for her first appointment and I might have gone back but now Im looking for a new vet that can tell me honestly what services cost before they are done.

This is hands down the most caring and down to earth clinic I have ever been associated with, and that is after I had worked in then myself for 7 years. Dr. Behrends made us feel like actual human beings and not just dollar signs, during multiple extremely difficult situations with our pets. They put people and animals first and money second. This is the only clinic I will go to around here

First visit- They wanted to do a Rabies vaccine on one of my dogs (his was current) and a heartworm test on the other (also current). They were argumentative and rude when I said I didnt want to do what wasnt needed. I walked out. I thought a small country vet clinic would be friendly and honest...I was wrong!

I had a good experience with this vet, the women doctor was/is very nice and I would go back again. Thanks for fixing my pets up. I cant tell you how they compare price wise to other facilities but I think they fall in the reasonable category.

Dr Behrends has treated our animals, from cats to dogs to llamas to horses, for over 25 years and we have always been happy with his treatment of our "babies". He is caring and knows his stuff....Love this guy!

Horrible. Dont go here. He cant even keep a goat alive. Or a dog, cat, cow, horse or a duck. Teeth cleaned and dead. Vaccination and dead.
