Absolutely DISGUSTED with the lack of care and communication we received. We came in late July with our cat suffering from a deep puncture wound on her neck. She had a red hole in the side of her head the size of a dime (probably the result of a bite from her indoor playmate). We spoke to the receptionist who took our information and after paying $115 for the upfront exam fee (a fee separate from any additional cost of service to be determined after an exam), she called for a tech who came and whisked our girl away to the back immediately. We were not allowed to go with. The receptionist said she would get us back to an exam room as soon as possible. An HOUR later we were still sitting in the lobby wondering how our cat was doing. Zero communication from the front desk or techs. I was surprised and confused as to why it was taking so long, considering there was only one other person in the lobby with us and his dog was currently being treated. Two other people had come in and were immediately ushered into an exam room with their pets. I approached the front desk and asked about the status of our girl. The receptionist was very irritated with me but called the tech in the back and then told me the tech would be out shortly to give us an update. 15 minutes later the tech came out and showed us to an exam room and closed the door. No update. No mention of WHEN we might be able to see the doctor and our cat. NOTHING. 15 minutes later a different tech came into the room and explained that they were “running behind” and that our cat was in a cage in the back and she would be seen very soon. She included a perfunctory, dull apology. I was shocked and angry and I had to clarify...a vet had not even SEEN her yet?!! So, not only did they let us sit in their freezing cold, dimly lit lobby for over an hour thinking she was being cared for, but she was in a cage in the back and no one had even looked at her! GRRR!! Now, I realized why they did not offer us any updates at all. 30 minutes later we were tired of sitting in the tiny exam room waiting with no further information. . Despite paying $115 for emergent care TWO HOURS ago, we had had enough. They were unable and unwilling to provide services in a reasonable and timely fashion. We left the exam room and went down the hall to the glass door that said “employees only”. I could see two techs and what I presumed to be a doctor in a white coat. We knocked on the door and they looked shocked to see “customers” in the restricted area!!! We asked them to give us our cat back immediately. If your furbaby is in need of ACTUAL emergency care….DON’T COME HERE!!!! Very expensive…it is all about the money! The staff is rude and uncaring and offer NO COMMUNICATION. The wait time is obscene and they are in absolutely no hurry to care for your injured/sick pet. I will never return and I will tell everyone I know NOT to go here. Should have done my research!! I am so DISGUSTED. I will be contacting the BBB. As NO SERVICES WERE RENDERED I want my $115 back!!

Walked in at 1:05 am and still sitting here waiting after TWO request to check on my dog. It is now 3:08 am and still no word... Several people have walked in after myself and already checked out. I am now one of last people sitting in the lobby 2 hours later with no communication. They told me at my last request 38 min ago that they have tested her and would speak to me shortly... Considering it is just me and one other person in here at this time, I am confused why I am still sitting here for answers. Complete fail for this clinic due to lack of communication and disrespect for keeping the clock ticking when they clearly are not busy and it IS 3am. One of the girls just left to run to the store as she told the other worker. Hmmm.... 3:22 am finally after asking for my dog to take home (now 3rd request) they send me back to an exam room as the front desk girl, Hailey tells me she is not well but if you want to take her home you can. Well no one could have told me this sometime in the last 2 hours? I explain my frustration and she just tells me "mam we had a dog pass away earlier". Earlier meaning prior to me coming in or earlier like in the last hour they have not been busy??? Also, I would like to add what caused me to get up and ask if they had forgot me was bc a gentleman just brought his dog in and they took him right back in to a room as I am still waiting after 2 hours to get in to a exam room. Once I get in to the room, I tell the vet my frustrations and he agreed with me that they (front desk) should have communicated better with me. He did apologize. 4:15am still waiting on X-rays when I was told it would take 20 minutes. Again, another 40 min wait and still no answers. Are they doing this on purpose?seems that way as I hear the Dr in talking with the man that came in way after me. The one I mentioned above. I had to actually go back out there to let them know, I have to get home to get ready for work. Who would have thought that this would take 4 hours. I am 110% UNHAPPY with this visit and how poor I was treated. If you find another after hours vet, I assure you will have a much better experience there. Left office at 4:45 am I could have gone to the ER and had X-rays quicker than this (Ridiculous). To be fair Dr. Bridges himself was courteous but Hailey at the front desk was very unprofessional and rude! Even when I asked her name, she just answered me and didnt even look at me. Thats real friendly! Best of luck! I will do my research tomrw and have another ER vet clinic on hand for future reference as I will not come back here!

I brought my dog into to be seen at 7:30am she was vomiting blood and bleeding from her rectum. I Said I forgot my wallet but I can have it there in 5 mins she state I will just charge you $150 and refer you out anyway stared at the clock and said the local vets open at 8:00am around here take her there..I spoke with there spoke person and he stated he did not know about the money situation. I live at Custer and hedgcoxe and the ER is on Custer by 121 and my other son was ready to bring me my wallet .He said they will not work on a dog if they don’t have the money in hand it would have been there in five minutes . They will leave your dog dying on the floor. We were talking LIFE OR DEATH. They feel no responsibility for their lack of action and they did not offer to have the doctors coming into to see her she said take her to a regular vet they open up around there at 8:00am Spoke person stated That’s there policy and that’s that but I am really sorry about your dog dying. Please at least be honest. I have taken my other dogs there Luke had major surgery on his leg and Cy my other dog had swelling on his stomach (They miss her so much) and my cat Sinbad had been attacked by a coyote I was out of town then and they took my credit card info over the phone. They didn’t think he would make it but he did! I have spent thousands of Dollars at that ER and you could not wait 5 minutes you basically told me you were going to send her away anyway. I could have just had my son give me the info over the phone again! I was upset about my dog that’s all I could think about they could have suggested those idea instead of tossing me a care credit app. and walking away. Lets stare at the clock because I sure would like to get off shift.. Her suffering and possible death are on your hands you can justify it in your mind anyway you want but in the end she is gone, My other son reminded me he showed up at Humane Animal Vet is awesome! They were called as we we were headed there and the Vet raced to try and save her. Spokes person was asking about my info for the application I wanted to have plenty of extra money for her. but he acted like that was out of their realm The whole time frame there was hazy agonizing. At least they truly care for animals there I thought you did too. They have the same policy but that did not stop them from starting to help her this was life and death but you wasted to much time for her..Though you do have some great doctors there I will never use your so called services again and will be recommending the same to others. .
