Well kudos to the low cost testing. After my newly acquired dog came up positive for heartworms they said I needed to bring him in. I asked whoever at the front desk answered the phones if there was going to be an additional charge because the way it was presented to me seemed like it was all a part of the testing fee. They said they didnt think there was another charge. Well, thats quite the answer considering you are the front line to the business. There was a charge for the visit. The fact the person answering the.phone gave me a bs answer was irritating. Not the few. What I also found bullshitty was that if your dog tests positive for heartworms they need to see him or her before full diagnosis. Either way, there really is no difference in their recommendation. Heartworm treatment now or at least give them the.monthly meds. So I need to pay a visit fee for this? Now some vets prescribe.a med that needs to be administered before monthly heartworm treatment resumes to avoid complications. This one didnt. It was referred to as fluff. So who the hell is right?

Make sure you call this location EVERYTIME before you go. Doesnt matter what time or day of the week it is. Seems like EVERY time I come here, I sit for over an hour in traffic just to see that they have a post it note on their door saying their closed for every reason in the book! Today, I sat in traffic for an hour and fifteen minutes (ONE WAY) with my dog who already hates being in the car, when I got there finally, I was walking to the clinic with my dog and the last vet was leaving (AT 3:30 PM!!!!!), passing me on my way to the door, and he didnt even have the audacity to tell me that they were closed for the evening. This has happened to me 4 times now! I will never come to this vet clinic ever again!!!!!

The best veterinarian experience Ive ever had. Dr. Navarro spent time listening and really seemed to care about both my dogs and me. Many vets are in the "how many tests can we get out of this person" business, but he didnt recommend needless tests or procedures, was realistic about our treatment program, and genuinely cared about the needs of my older dogs. I have been to so many vets in the past where all they want is to milk you for as much money as possible, and Vanguard is NOT this kind of clinic. I will be using their services in the future for all of my vet needs. The office staff is friendly and attentive, and their prices are VERY affordable.

After using another Vet in the vicinity for over 20 years I was very satisfied with the service offered at Vanguard., The Doctor took the extra time to make me feel a little better on what needed to be done. He clearly had both the dog and my best interest in mind. I prices are very reasonable compared to my prior Vet. Please note that the weekday hours are 8AM to 12PM and 2:PM to 6PM. I was not sure I had an Monday appointment when I came over before 2 PM to find the place closed. Some Vets are closed Mondays and with the flu I just was too sick to wait around.

I stop today at their location in loop 1604 to pick up my cats flea medicine after calling it in. When I arrived it wasnt ready, they couldnt even find my account which I didnt mind at all, but the lady (kim) "trying to help" was rude and with a not positive attitude. I knew about this place from their mobile clinics (HEB wilderness oak) and the people there are nice and helpful, from now on I will just wait and get my pets meds in the mobile clinic or just switch to a different clinic with a friendlier staff.

Awesome that its a place you can take your animals for low cost vaccinations, but the people that work the mobile stand in Killeen all act like the hate their jobs. The cashier was very rude. I was told that the rabies and fvrcp was for both fvrcp shots, but when I took my kitten back I had to pay another 15$ for her second shot. They should probably word things better to their clients. The vet that gave my kitten a shot was great very friendly and personable. Everyone else was very rude.

This staff is awesone and always is very helpful answering all my questions I have about anything originally took our 2 yr old there due to vomiting and weight loss they referred us to a specialists but still check up on him to make sure he is ok which is awesome. We just adopted a new 3 mo. Old puppy and they have already helped us tremendously with him as well weve seen other vets for our oldest but we love this vet and has become our primary vet all the staff is educated and wonderful

This was our first visit there. We had our puppy and older dog. They explained everything they were going to do. They also suggested tests for our older dog. Our whole visits including shots and medicine were 120 dollars. I had call several other places that wanted to charge us over close to $600 dollars for the same exact shots and checkup that the others quoted. I would recommended Vanguard and they also have Mobile clinics. I was in and out in 30 minutes.

We called ahead and let them know wat happened several hours beforehand. When we got to our appointment, we were informed that we needed several pieces of paperwork from another vet clinic. After trying to call the clinic and get the paperwork, we gave the phone to the vet tech because it was still unclear which paperwork was needed. After she gave us back our phone, she just walked away with no update of what was going on.

Excellent for low cost vaccines but not very competent in scheduling and conducting any other vet services. Scheduled an office visit to have some concerns about my pet checked instead it was scheduled as a vaccine appointment. Now I ended up with my pet getting vaccinated and the unexpected expense 4 months early. The vet doesnt even verify or ask if your intention is to vaccinate your pet early.

The Receptionist was extremely helpful, nice, and very informative when I had a couple concerning questions about my cat. She honestly made me feel better even though it was a conversation over the phone. If the health of my cat unfortunately doesnt seem to get better I will definitely go to this clinic. No doubt about it!

I came here for my cat appoitment but we were 30 minutes late and they didnt want to attend her leg till tomorrow in the morning, the lady on the desk was really rude and didnt seem to care about my cat at all! i never plan on going back ever again, that lady was rude to me and my daughter, our cat died by the next morning

Rude in the nicest way. Not even sincere. They cancelled all of our appointments because of a no call. We tried calling to reschedule our first appointment but they have no call waiting and their phone was busy. Why should we be punished because of their lack of call waiting.

Dr. Navarro is awesome with our dog. He is so loving toward our dog and took his time with him. Thanks to him my dog is all better now. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this clinic for your veterinarian needs!
