MY DOG WOULD HAVE DIED HAD WE NOT GONE TO PEDERNALES AFTER COMPASSIONATES LACK OF DIAGNOSIS. My dog was bit by a rattlesnake and Compassion Care not only misdiagnosed it once, but in 5 instances, they misdiagnosed it. It was a classic snake bite situation - blood in the shape of fang marks, bleeding out with a pain shot (venom causes blood to not clot = lots of bleeding), gave me a misdiagnosis over the phone without asking any questions, we called back after our visit as our pup was still bleeding and were told "wrap it up with a sock and put tape around it." The signs were obvious to me, the owner - not the vet, which is why we got a second opinion from Pedernales. Compassion cost very critical time for treatment. We are still in the woods with recovery and can only hope he makes it through.

We have been taking our dogs to Compassionate Care for 16 years. Our pets have always received excellent care with kindness and compassion. Dr. Fritz is not only aware of our dogs needs but is also aware of our needs regarding the care of our "canine family member." Recently, our daughter and her pets were visiting and one of the dogs got injured. It was Saturday morning at 11:30 am. Since Compassionate Care Clinic closes at 12:00, I called immediately and was told to come to the office. Dr. Fritz carefully cared for "Bobby" and while receiving staples, little Bobbie didnt make a sound. Then, though past closing time, Dr. Fritz brought Bobbie to us and discussed care, medications and options with us. We truly trust and recommend Compassionate Care Veterinary Clinic/Hospital.

Thanks for all you do . My cat has had a problem with parasites but when trying to get her to ingest the pills she is not having it ... from anyone. Not even at the vet. We get her to Compassionate Care for a cough which they successfully treated her for and we got the medicine to deworm her at home . Nope she still refused . Luckily Carmen got her back in and gave her a topical that is a broad spectrum medicine that the cat had no way to refuse because it was placed on her neck . Thank you for explaining the way the medication works and that it doesnt just kill fleas .

Weve had 8 dogs over a 50+ year marriage, lived in 7 states, and this may be the best veterinary clinic weve ever used. They really live up to their name. The vets are excellent and communicate thoroughly, have dealt with our dogs occasional issues effectively, and their core staff are terrific. In addition to taking care of our dogs health, they board him occasionally and bathe and groom him. I highly recommend Compassionate Care to anyone looking for excellent pat care.
