Went on a recommendation and a bit of an emergency.... with the exception of RICH the receptionist (quite honestly an amazingly friendly human being) the back of house staff was less than professional... in particular 1 tech or nurse not sure what her position was there but her name is Gretchen.... what a rude person... I dont make much, so I have to make some hard decisions when it comes to spending money on possibilities of the health of my pet, therefore my hard earned money when spent is well thought out. Having said that I was with the vet trying to figure out what was ailing my pup, considering the test that are available I myself opted for the Fecal Parasite test as the best option being that I had practically no funds for the amount of full Healthcare my pup required. We were told that the test would take 15 min... understandably, it is never the time they say it is because of the nature of the industry, medical.... so after 30min of waiting I popped my head into the back of house just to get an update, minor question "how much longer will the test take"... mind you we have been there for a total of 3 1/2 hours... and only this test was run... but before I could finish asking my question GRETCHEN decided to cut me off and insert a rude two cents- "what? Spill it... what do you want?... this is an emergency room" she certainly DID NOT look like she was in an EMERGENCY.... she bobbed her head like a chicken, and used a tone that was quite condescending.... after all that, and pissing me off with her comment, my wife and I decided this place does not need our business and we do not need their service or lack thereof I should say. All that trouble and the one that suffered was my little pup, poor little guy. Im sure your pet can survive in a much cleaner and more interested Veterinary clinic... additionally I know someone from this clinic will respond on this review, I hope they do, I will not do a private message.... and maybe theyll find my "file" or perhaps they wont, but if you decide to bring your pup here I sure do hope theyve cleaned up their act. I would expect ALL vets to understand that their staff represents them as a whole... so if this review helps change their act I hope its for the better... ps stay away from Gretchen

This past Saturday evening (7/1/2017) while out for a walk a stray snuck up on my mother in law and dog. The stray had gotten ahold of my dogs hind quarters but my father in law was able to smack the stray hard enough to let go of my dog. At this point he had several puncture wounds and his leg was not able to hold any weight. At this point my wife and I started frantically looking for an animal hospital that was open. (it was about 9:00 at this point.) We drove to the nearest animal hospital. It was closed. Then we got smart and googled animal hospital. Thankfully this one was open. We called (Albeit frantic and teary eyed) and got ahold of Rich. We told him what happened and he said that they could defiantly take care of our Becker. When we walked in I had poop and blood on my shirt and they quickly whisked away Becker. Before they did any treatment they made sure to explain how much it would cost. The Doctor and nurse staff were very informative and make sure to explain everything they were going to do BEFORE they did. Now it was expensive but what do you expect? Its emergency medical treatment on a weekend in the middle of the night. Throughout the night Rich was so friendly and actually had a bit of comic relief that made the stress fill evening easier to bare. Also his side kick Boo really helped. The Nurse also was very kind and explained the medicine and care for the dog really well. The doctor laid out all our options clearly and did not judge us for making a financially capable decision. Over all everyone was so nice and respectful it made the scary evening bearable. This is also the only place I was able to find at the moment and I was very happy with the treatment and care our little Becker had.

Weve had to take my cat Mimi to this emergency room twice. The first time was the day after we adopted her. She had a HUGE infection where she had been spayed by the FCC. We took her in, they saw her right away and she was worked on and back with us within an hour, with all the necessary medications. She was back to normal within a week, and we have had no further complications from that infection. The second time we took her was this evening. One of her eyes was completely swollen shut and weepy, with the other one starting to swell, and she was very lethargic. We took her in, and again they saw her right away. They tested to make sure she had no problems with her cornea to ensure she was given the right medications that would not further harm her eye. After they were done examining her, one of the gentlemen working there showed us how to treat her eye and administer her pain medication, and gave us instructions on how to care for her, as well as patiently answering all of our questions. He took the time to make sure we understood everything, even though his shift was over. He was not rude or rushed at all, and he was very gentle with our Mimi. The whole process took less than an hour and a half. The woman in the front was very friendly, and made sure to store our information if we ever have to come in again. Plus, they had a 10% military discount, which is wonderful. Mimi is now home, and she is eating and drinking healthily and purring up a storm, and the swelling in her eye is already reducing. This place is WONDERFUL, and though I hope we dont have any more emergencies, if we do, we will definitely bring them back again. (:

Worst experience ever last night. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. Our dog was diagnosed with skin cancer by Becker Animal Hospital. My wife wanted a second opinion and went to Animal Emergency Room. My wife took her dog there about 6 weeks ago. The doctor she spoke with got the records from Becker and agreed with the findings. He told my wife the dog probably had 3 months to live and whenever she felt the time was right, she could bring him back to be put to sleep. My wife LOVES this dog. The cancer has caused a festering sore which covers most of his upper leg. Nothing can be done for this other than keeping it cleaned and covered. We were told it would not heal. The dog has had good days and bad days. After much praying and soul searching my wife decided that last night would be the night to put him to sleep. The doctor on duty was a different doctor. When my wife was called to the back, the doctor started berating my wife for wanting to kill a healthy dog. The doctor had not even bothered looking at the file on the dog. Did not care what the other doctors had told her. She said an amputation should be done. No clue that the cancer was not isolated and that this would not solve the problem. My wife came home sobbing. I am lucky I was not there to speak my mind to the "doctor". I am still considering legal action for the mental anguish her berating has put my wife through. Will never set foot in that place again. Unfortunately I do not know the doctors name or it would be posted here.
