Well, its a mixed bag. The Place looks like a spa., and the front desk girls attitudes reflect that. How many vets offices have you seen with lit candles (kinda dangerous in a vets office!) not one but TWO expensive wall fountains, flower vases, big screen TVs, expensive light fixtures - designer pet vitamins etc etc. In the 09 or towards the dominion sure.. but on the south-side?? Save your money and lower the prices! The receptionists are snotty, snarky and downright rude. The form is intrusive (how many vets do you know that want your drivers lic number, your social security number, four forms of ID when you are paying CASH?) I was approached by the office manager and asked three times if i would be more comfortable going to a different vet. Um, no thank you. I felt he was trying to push me out the door. I was even told outright that I should pick a different vet so that I wouldnt write a negative review online. Really?? Wasnt even thinking about it till they mentioned it! Now the good news - The nurse was competent (do vets HAVE nurses??) the doctor was very good and the prices were reasonable for a south-side vet clinic. The wait was more than an hour but Im quite sure that was a fault of the front desk or the surgery manager Would I go again? Perhaps. They are close and not too expensive. But if you are looking for FRIENDLY and an office that cares more about the animals than their pocketbook, you might want to check elsewhere.

We moved here with the Army with our dog who is 8 years old and the love of our life. Due to our rapid moves with the Army we have changed vets a lot but always lucked out. We did some searching and found 4 Paws to be the closest with good reviews. We went in and right away we were greeted with smiles and happy faces. Pookie was given a hug and a treat before we even got to the room. Dr. Jamiez was not available to see him but one of the Vet techs was able to come in as we were just getting him established. She was very nice as were all of the nurses. We have since had lumps aspirated, allergic reactions, shots, a sore on his chest, allergies, and an ear infection and they have been more then helpful to both of schedule and our needs. They give a nice Military discount and their prices are great. The only complaint I had was they would not authorize us to get medicine from 800 pet meds, however, they did price match and we got the medicine for the same price. The online pet portal is easy to use and their response time is very fast. Dr. Jamiez even went out of her way to get a special manufacturer of lepto vaccine for Pookie since he had a reaction to the first one. We recommend everyone to go to 4 paws for good prices and friendly staff. they all really seem to love their job and that makes me feel secure with taking my baby there!!!

Weve been with Dr J for over 10 yrs.... the staff and Dr J have always been commited to the well being of our five - four pawed children. I dont mind waiting if my appointment isnt exact, just like comparing to my appointments... with my doctor. The phones are busy, the phone wait time may be long, your confirmed appointment may run a longer wait time.. these are indications that she cares to take her time and not rush. For those that have scored less than 4 stars, you dont deserve to be here and what a disservice to your four pawed child. The front desk is busy because we have a great doctor providing great service. For those that compare price ... its questionable on your research. Ive paid more for other vets that do much less.... good luck. One more fact... Dr J has never been about the money.... if you cant afford to have a pet you shouldnt take the responsibility. If it was about the money, 4 Paws wouldnt exist. Next....!!!

We have brought our pets here for years and have never had any issues with them, over the Christmas break we brought our dog here and were at office for over 3 hours for some blood work. 45 minutes waiting for our appointment, an hour in the exam room waiting and over 45 minutes for blood work results when we were told it would take 15 minutes. The doctor was not at all attentive to our pet, never introduced herself, provided an estimate for a surgery before even doing the blood work, and generally seemed like they only cared about the money. We were very disappointed with the service and then they refused to provide us with an antibiotic when we asked for it without us doing the $900 surgery. I would not recommend seeing them again find a place that cares.

I have been using this vet for seven years now for my 2 cats and 2 dogs. My pets have remained in superior health since under the care of Dr. Jaimez and her staff. I love that they have an online pet portal to keep track of appointments, order food, and meds. This vet is not close to my house but, I make the drive across town to take my pets here because the care they receive has been unmatched by any other vet. Also, the vet charges are extremely fair for the quality of care. Nail trims and boarding rates are especially reasonable! Dr. Jaimez genuinely cares about the animals she treats, shes never made me pay for or do things to my pet that werent necessary. I highly recommend this vet!

OK lets see my 8yo daughter brought home 2 kittens from her friends house. both are males both cute as can be. well the next day one of them was very sleepy more then a normal cat would be. my daughter was worried so i took him to see Dr. J. and between her and the rest of the staff i was made to feel comfortable and confident in thier abilities. Not to mention the price they are less then half the price of the vet we used before (banfield) but that is a different story. In the end he had low blood sugar and they took great care in helping me understand how to care for him. Safe to say we have found our new vet for all of our (my daughters) pets.

I love 4 paws!!!!! Dr. Jaimez and her staff are wonderful. I have been going there now for four years and wont go anywhere else. Before I found 4 paws I had gone to several different vets and none were as caring or professional as they are. One of my puppies cut her back knee really bad the gash was about five inches long Dr. Jaimez and her staff stayed to do her surgery and didnt finish until 9pm and even took the time to let me know everything went well. I am an avid animal lover and have quite a few and I dont trust anybody else with my babies.

This is vet is so unorganized, uncivilized, doctor degree from magazines. This doctor diagnosed my dog and thought he had prostate cancer, WRONG! Could not even tell he had only one eye! Probed me with more questions about his lost eye than answering my questions as to why he had blood in his urine!! Hides behind her front desk employees, they relay questions and concerns. I went here because she was close....NEVER make that mistake again! Beware, stay away from this person, dressing up as a doctor.
