This place is the worst, which is a shame because I loved my dentist. In 2014 I was looking for a dentist and called this place to see if they were covered by my insurance. They told me they were and any routine procedures (examinations, cleaning and fluoride) were covered. I went to my first appointment in May 2014 and they did my routine cleaning and prescribed me a mouthwash for my sore gums. I paid for the mouthwash upfront. Weeks later I got a bill saying I owed for the fluoride. I protested this because they had told me everything was covered and I even had a benefits book saying that it was covered and had explained I didnt want the fluoride if it wasnt covered (they insisted that it was). In November 2014 I had another routine appointment where I had the same cleaning done again. Weeks later I was billed for the examination, even though that was also supposed to be covered and had been covered at my last appointment. I called my insurance who spoke to Aspen and they told me Aspen were sorry for the "mistake" and would take care of it. I continued to get the bills so I went into Aspen and spoke to a manager and showed him my benefits booklet, proving that everything I had done should be covered and that I wouldnt have even signed up at their office if they hadnt told me everything was covered. He told me he would fix it and call me the next day. He never called me. I left multiple messages for him but they went unanswered. The bills stopped, but I chose to switch dentists as they were constantly screwing with me. Fast forward to two whole years after my first appointment with Aspen and I get a call from a debt collector, telling me Aspen had given them my bill. I called my now-old insurance and asked them about this bill. Apparently, in May 2014 I had been prescribed a medication and now owed $292! I had NEVER been given any medication, only the mouthwash that I paid $24.00 for. On top of that they had NEVER tried to send ME this bill, they just sent it to a debt collector two years later! I have all of my other bills from Aspen, including the bill for May where they had charged me for the fluoride which I had protested. Nowhere on the bill was any medication worth $292 mentioned. I was never prescribed a medication of any kind, just the mouthwash. I sent a copy of my bill to my insurance which shows I wasnt given a medication and paid the $24.00 for the mouthwash. A month later I get a call from the collections agency saying my debt has been amended and I now owe $24.00 for the mouthwash. Is this how Aspen make their money? They just send debt collectors after people who have already paid and hope they dont keep their receipts? Well, I keep my receipts, unfortunately for them. Im still waiting on that manager to call me back, along with the two other people from the corporate office who said they would "call me right back" over a month ago now.

Dr. Patel is great and i value his opinion. The teeth cleaning and examination was adequate. However the rest of the offices operations were disappointing. At my last appointment, i arrived right on time and signed in. My presence was not even acknowledged by the receptionist for 20 minutes. i had no insight from anyone into when i was to be seen. after my cleaning, i didnt get to see Dr. Patel for another 30 min. My appt. was for 4:30 and I didnt see Patel until 5:50. At checkout, the receptionist again did not acknowledge me and was not friendly. Never once was i thanked for my patience or given an apology for the delay. All said done my time spent in the office was 2 hours and it was painful. I hope it was just a bad day for them, but if it is a consistent theme i will have to find another dentist.

Dr. Patel is an okay dentist. Aspen dental has lost our service due "Aspen protocol". While Dr. Patel was on vacation, my daughter happened to lose her tooth while getting her teeth cleaned. The hygienist refused to give her her tooth back because it was considered a "bio-hazard". The office staff and assistant fed me some line that this was standard all over Texas and that all teeth extracted at a dentist were considered bio-hazard. My daughter pulled her own very healthy tooth. After doing some of my own research, I do not agree with the staff at all. Who keeps a perfectly healthy tooth from a kid after they lost it...especially the dentist. Needless to say we will not be going back to this Aspen location or any other one for that matter.

This is the most unprofessional place that Ive ever stepped foot in. Doctor Patel was pretty much RIDICULOUS and unprofessional. He was in a hurry, and told me that I didnt like what he was telling me, I could go to Affordable Dental. There was this girl that looked like she was picked up off the street, and she was doing X-rays and examining my mouth. She needs to start working at Walmart as a cashier IMMEDIATELY!!! Shes entirely too rough, she was sticking a pointed probe inside my jaw. She never smiled, never introduced herself and staring as if I was dirt. The only positive experience I encountered was the receptionist at the front desk. She was very friendly, beautiful and professional. I will NEVER step in that Dentist again.

Horrible experience from the beginning, this place is a scam. Sent me to out of network dentist who used up all benefits. This was not an over site, I ask many questions and their office confirmed they were in network before I proceeded with an appt.. Long story short it cost me 1500.00 in medical benefits plus1800.00 out of pocket for 1 new crown and a root canal. I could have paid out of pocket cash elsewhere and it would of cost less. They do not practice ethical and moral business practices in the best interest of their customers. Plus it also took 3 months to fit in all the appointments. So if you have time and money to waste this is the place for you! They take no responsibility and push the cost on the customer.

BEST DENTIST EVER!!! Over the years I had really screwed up my teeth. I went in on Friday 8/7/15 to get a check up, scared to death that I would get criticism, rude remarks, and a lot of pain. Instead all I got was the solution to fix my teeth. I got one tooth pulled that was bothering me. The following Monday I went back with some pain in the extraction site. That was instantly fixed. 20 minutes later I had 2 black ugly teeth with extreme sensitivity completely rebuilt. I will be a forever customer. Dr. Patel is an ANGEL! If you want a reasonably priced, caring dentist go to Aspen Dental on Culebra. Thanks from the bottom of my heart.

Long story short: Too many trips for a simple cleaning and too expensive. I would not recommend this place. I went in for a simple cleaning ; there is nothing wrong with my teeth, no cavities and such. It took 3 trips spanning over 3 weeks to actually get my teeth cleaned. On top of that they tried to sneak a $130 electric toothbrush onto the bill. My husband was supposed to go there to get his teeth cleaned but we wound up canceling the appointment and got him in at a different dentist. He only had to go ONE time to get his teeth cleaned and it cost half as much! The staff is nice and that is the ONLY reason I gave one star.
