I have never met a doctor who is more unprofessional than Dr. Barrera. While waiting for over 2 hours to be seen by the doctor I had to undergo the horrible experience of hearing in a room with closed doors the booming voice of the doctor screaming at another patient. Regardless of what the issue was I do not think that there is any excuse for a doctor to scream at a patient. After hearing this go on for over 5 minutes I felt so overwhelmed that I had to leave the doctors office while the doctors screaming could continue to be heard as I walked out the door. I immediately called my insurance to have him removed as my provider. I think what I had to experience today was inexcusable and feel terribly for the patient on the receiving end of the doctors screams. I do not think this behavior warrants even one star and would not recommend this doctor to anyone!

Again, today, arrived with less than 3 other people in the waiting room. Waited an hour and a half to see a nurse practioner (not a doctor). My insurance recently assigned me to this office, and I have already started the paperwork to request a new primary care doctor. My wife & I have been here on multiple occassions, and I have yet to meet Dr. Barrera. I always get stuck with a nurse, and the Doctor seems to never be in the office at all. The staff is polite enough, but disinterested. The nurses are okay, but not doctors. The wait time is absolutely ridiculous. Why would I bother making a 3:00 appointment if I wanted to be seen at 4:30? I cant rate the doctor himself, because I havent met him / hes never here. If youre stuck coming here because of insurance (like we are), file for a new doctor. If not, dont waste your time and / or money.

I like the place and always pack a meal and a snack for the long wait time. The PA and Doctor are very nice and courteous with a genuine concern for your well being and health. Nowadays some doctors will just take your word as diction for their notes and stray away from the "hands on" approach which leaves me, the patient, feeling doubtful of his assessment. I wouldnt trust a mechanic who just glanced at my car and told me what the problem was. Luckily, you wont have that problem here! Both the PA and Doctor will, respectively, go with the hands on approach to get to the root of the problem and provide a plan on how to proceed. I honestly dont know why the place is slow since the staff and everyone who works there are always moving so fast

Been sent here by Tri West through the V. A. and its been one HELL of an experience. They make you an appointment and when y5get there, you have to wait up to two hours after your appointment. You DONT get to see the doctor, but you get his P. A. instead. You CONSTANTLY have to keep after them for you prescriptions and they DONT seem to like returning calls. When you call them and they finally answer, youre put on eternal hold. Ive gone to Sick Call in the Marine Corps and have had a way better experience. God help ANYONE who seriously needs their help. The staff there seems to be there just for the paycheck. Please DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY THERE!

Dr. Barrera is very easy to talk to. He listens and had been very helpful. He has taken good care of me and my family. His staff has always been polite and helpful to me. They have filled out papers and faxed request for me. They do have a wait time on the phone when I call but it is understandable as they are trying to attend to other patient needs as well as my own..

Mr berrera and his staff are uncooperative and rude at best. The doctor and staff refuse to take care of necessities of there paitents, after 3 months of requests the doctor still refuses to sign a prescription for a wheelchair battery for someone 100% mobility impaired stealing her freedom. Even after in person requests for 3 days the prescription is still not signed.

I LOVE Dr Barrera Family Practice. Any chance I get I refer people over. I have on occassion have had to wait but his staff is amazing and does an excellent job at moving people in and out. His PA Rolanda is awesome as well. Dr Barrera is fair and down to earth. I couldnt wait until my son turned three- we moved him to this doctors office right away.

My family and I have been patients since 1998. Although we have experienced periodic long wait times, I view this as a symptom of seeing a really good Family Practioner. I have been extremely pleased with Dr. Barreras office staff and have often recommended Dr. Barrera and his Lead Physician Assistant, Rolando, to all of our friends and family.

Very poor service. They say they do walkin.. but even after waiting for 2 hours, they didnt give a ETA. Either they should let us know how long will it take to see or ask us to comeback later.. instead they didnt give any option, just making us wait is too disappointing.. I wont go to this place and wont recommend to anyone else

Dr. Barrera has attended to my family since 1990. He practices with passion and genuine concern for his patients. Lupe and Ari are wonderful on the phone and front desk even when busy. He remembers trival things about me even after all these years and so many patients. I highly recommend his services!

Last 3 years and I have never seen the doctor, only the Rn. They are rude and dont help at all. I have highly blood pressure but every time the girl reads my bp says its normal, I doubt she even know how to do it, they should get the machine to do it for them..... dont waste your time here

My family been coming to Dr Barrera for years hes a very good doctor but his staff , are very rude when answering the phones and here in the office and very unprofessional. You can here them chatting away. I really dont like rude stuff in a doctors building

Im sitting in a room for an hour now, and was in the waiting room for 1.5 hours. I expect my total waiting time is going to be 3 hours. This will be my last visit here. The office staff REALLY needs some training on how to properly schedule appointments.

Good Doctor but his medical staff are terrible never get things done when it needs to be, always calling to but never answer they need to be better educated and be more professional because they make the doctor look bad

Very rude, irresponsible staff. They do not care about old patience at all. I call 20 time just to get referral but they do not.Even when you are seriously ill, they do not give you appointment at time.
