I have been going here since 2013. I was always able to get last minute appointments mostly because people canceled. That may be good but honestly it should be a red flag to you guys. Please ask your self why everyone cancels their appointments. Well the first time I went for my dog and two puppies. The dog stopped eating and drinking and basically stop moving around. As the new born pups stopped feeding on their moms. I took all three in. He actually took time with him and diagnosed him with Parvo. So we treated him and he lived! The puppies he didnt bother with he said its typical for a few pups to die in a litter. I asked how to prevent it and his reply was, "Dont you have other puppies?" In shock and pretty irritated I left. I took the puppies else where turns out they had Parvo too so we treated it and the whole litter lived!! I then went off to college and when I was gone my cat stopped peeing. I asked my parents to go take him to the vent. They accidentally mixed up the good location and the bad one I was telling them about and they ended up taking him to this hell hole. I researched it and I knew already he had a blockage. So my parents took him while I was on the phone with them. The nurses took good care of him (which I appreciated) but Dr. Homer said nothing was wrong with him. And just to "maybe" switch his litter and food but he wanted to keep him over night for observation (cost=450) I got good vibes and being that he got an education on animals where I didnt I allowed my cat to stay. I drove into town to pick my cat up and he just handed him to me and said nothing . I talked to the front desk and they said "maybe" its a behavior thing. He did put my cat on a diet so I stuck to that and waited it out. Three days later my cat got worst and I took him to a 24hr hospital they said he had a huge blockage that has been bluilding up for at least 6days and he needed immediate surgery. I was very confused I mean I took him in already. The Dr. there said sometimes vets will wait for things to progress so there can be money in the long run for them. I will never go back there. I dont know if its just my animals he hated or maybe I asked to many questions but I truly dont like this Vet and I dont recommend it to anyone !! I felt there is a huge lack of effort and care here. Not from the nurses though they were always great!!!

These guys honestly saved my cats life. My cat had randomly stopped eatting.. which is UNHEARD of for him because he loves to eat.. food is what he lives for.. he is the most passionate food eatting cat I have ever had... and well I gave him worm medicine but he was not responding to it. Something told me at the way he was acting.. if I didnt get help soon.. he was going to die and then it would be too late. These people were amazing, and there prices are actually really reasonable. They tested him and he came up positive for the Lukemia virus. But despite that.. he still was no where far gone... and although it took a while.. the antibotics he was given helped him fight off what was attacking him. He finally began to eat about 22 hours later... then he started to eat food just like he use to... and the passion for eatting and going outside came back in full today. (Hes not suppose to go outside though anymore but hes always been going outside so its hard to stop him) These people know what they are doing and saved my cats life. And were extremly kind. Also the place was very clean and sterile. If you want to save your pets life... this is honestly a good place to take them.

It was a really horrible experience!!! My mom and I went to take my puppy to get checker because she was throwing up and the doctor said she had parvo. He said that he was going to give her some medicine to make her feel good and that nothing bad was going to happen to her and we would be able to take her home the same day. My mom paid more than a $100 for the shot and $50 for the visit. An hour after we left my puppy started bleeding from her mouth and butt. We went back to the vet and they said they couldnt do anything because we left. My mom demanded her money back they said no and kicked her out. My puppy died!!!!

I have had yet another positive experience with Southeast Animal Hospital. Dr. is very caring of animals as are his staff. Her allergies are under control much to her relief. We recently went in for a bath and they did a great job bathing as well as brushing her out properly. No dog hair floating around in the car. I think they must have drained a cyst she had around her collar area. I mentioned it bothered her and I no longer put on her collar. She is always inside or in enclosed back yard. Now it is much smaller than before and her collar fits her comfortably. Great job Southeast Animal.

Went in too see what was wrong with my pupp he charged 33 dollars for visit and he ran no tests just touched her stomach a bit then charged 50 too run any tests 30 bucks to literally touch her a little then brings tests an says there negative but that they are wrong an my pup has parvo even though test said no then he gives me 1500 dollar estimate to care for her...he did the same with my elderly grandpa when his dog died he finds anyways possible to add extra charges..what is the point of a vet visit if the test are seperate charges..he has a fee just for walking in room an talking ridiculous

I am a long time visitor to Southeast Animal Hospital. My three dogs love Dr. Homer and the staff. They bound in to see happily even when they are getting shots. Dr. Homer has always been kind and patient. The staff is friendly and real "pet-people. I am so glad I found this vet because I lost two beautiful beagles to an unfeeling "quack" who misdiagnosed them. Dr. Homer makes me feel comfortable. I have a small 25 pound dog, an overweight beagle and a humongous "puppy" and they all get treated great. I even took my classroom hamster to Dr. Homer.

This place is a JOKE. 3 of my dogs have died after receiving care with dr homer. He must have something against pit bulls because HE KILLED ALL 3 OF THEM. 1st dog had an issue with her paw. Got meds and took her home, she died the next day 2nd dog went for shots, died the next day 3rd dog (bc apparently my roommates didnt learn their lesson) went in for shots and died the next day. I would advise that no one ever takes their pit bulls to this horrible person. I wish I could give it ZERO stars.

Very unprofessional-my kitten was fine in the morning walking, but eating habit changed a bit, so my sister took her in, next thing I know my kitten cant walk and never recovers from whatever Mr Homer did to her and when the skin scrapping was done they left the wound open and didnt even treat it..never again will I take any pet to this location...4Paws is my vet and will forever be my veterinarian...I should have waited till today to take my kitten to 4Paws, but I didnt want to take a chance.
