Dr. Welch is wonderful, but like so many other patients, I have been totally ignored too many times to continue as her patient. The only way to correspond with her office is to submit your needs via their online email. I emailed 3 times with no response. When I saw Dr. Welch at my next appointment, she said she got my questions and answered them to her staff, but no one had the courtesy to let me know what she said. The 4th time I emailed was to explain that my insurance would not approve a certain brand of insulin without a prior authorization. I requested a new prescription for another brand that insurance would accept without authorization and it was actually cheaper. This was 8 days ago. The pharmacy that requested the authorization 3 times had to call me to tell me Dr. Welch will not respond to their request. I have not received a confirmation that a new prescription would be written, although I asked for one so I would know that my request was properly handled. Its a good thing I started this while I had enough insulin to get me by, otherwise I would die! I got in touch with my primary care physician and she got back with me in less than 8 hours to confirm what I needed and faxed the prescription to my pharmacy. This total lack of patient consideration and courtesy is absolutely inappropriate and shouldnt be tolerated. Im canceling my next appointment. I will tell anyone who asks not to go to this office.

I have tried to get through to make an appt with this office 5 times now. The front office is not helpful and makes you feel very unwelcome and that you are a burden to them. I asked if they accepted my insurance in which they told me to call my own insurance company to figure it out, I was also asked for my diagnosis over the phone before i was allowed to make an appt and was told the doctor "would be out for a long time" and was not given any other options. The girls I spoke with were very rude and I called back to speak with the office manager which I wasnt allowed to talk to. I was placed on hold and when someone answered I asked if it was the office manager in which someone told me no, they were her assistant and they would help me. I asked again to speak with the office manager because the girl who wasnt letting me speak to her was also very rude. Bottom line is I never had an appt made for me, wasnt allowed to speak with the office manager and now will seek help else where and recommend everyone else to as well. Why be put through so much to be taken care of? Every phone call I made to this office was met with a "I cant be bothered" attitude. Just horrible customer service. I cannot believe an office is run this way.

My scheduled appointment will be in 20 minutes. I arrived an hour early as a new patient I knew I would be completing a good deal of paperwork. Imagine my surprise when signing in I was informed my appointment had been canceled. I was told that a message had been left for me on my telephone of record several weeks ago and would I like to reschedule. I had to wait 3 months for todays appointment. The next available appointment would be in May, another 3 months waiting. I have checked my voice mail records to determine if I had missed that voice mail canceling todays appointment. I never received that call. What a horrible way to treat a new patient. Maybe this is a way to discourage new business. It worked. I did not make another appointment, nor did I choose to make a appointment with a partnered physician in this office. Avoid this Doctor and this office professionalism and common patient courtesy does not exist.

I absolutely love Dr. Welch but about 6 months ago I was passed off to her NP Yvonne who is very intelligent and helpful but has nowhere near the amount of knowledge that the Dr has. Its sad that I have to wait MONTHS to see the Dr., especially now that Im pregnant and need extra monitoring and have to visit every 4 weeks. Im just no longer satisfied paying to see the NP when theres such an amazing doctor available. For the health of my baby, Im going to be changing doctors now to someone who can actually see me. I will miss Dr. Welch but its not like I got to see her much! Regarding the office, the front desk is HELL to get through to. Theyre very busy all the time and it shows in their rushed and frustrated attitude. And since they are so busy, the wait time for appts is awful. My last appt with the NP, I waited nearly 2.5 hours before just leaving because I had to get back to work.

Dr. Welch is an incredible endocrinologist- both my boyfriend and I see her. My BF had a pituitary tumor removed in 2010 and since then hes battled diabetes insipidus and panhypopituitarism. After seeing several doctors to diagnose his symptoms, she was finally able to diagnose and treat. Its a been a very long road getting him back to good health and were still struggling, but Dr. Welch has been there every step of the way to make sure he is hanging in there and advocating on his behalf when necessary. We have full trust in Dr. Welch and her staff... theyre all fantastic. My only concern would be that it gets harder and harder to get appts and we prefer to wait for her than see her NP. Other than that, everything is excellent.

Had to wait 2 months to get an appt. I waited 20 min before the staff checked me in only to be told that they couldnt see me. Because I was late. Another patient was 5 min late and was told the same thing. So much for caring about their patients. I dont get it. They schedule xx amount of patients but cant see them and its okay for them to make us wait but its not Okay for them to wait for us. They wont even work you in. They make you come back which isnt easy for those of us who are taking time off of work. And the thing is that you get into the room and it takes all of 5 min to be examined. Its a good clinic but I think its grown so much that they have a take it or leave it attitude.

My best advise is to shop around. First they want a CC# so if you are late or miss the appointment you are charged $100 which is also the cost of the appointment so Im assuming it would cost a small fortune to miss and reschedule an appointment. I didnt want to believe the reviews but most of them are spot on and unless you have insurance through your work they will not except you either. Lastly the next appointment was at the end of August for new patients. I guess we will seek a better DR to spend our money elsewhere.

I have a complicated case from a damaged pituitary gland from a surgery to remove a tumor. Dr. Welch has been the most upfront and best Doctor I have ever met and I have seen many unfortunately. Getting in can be difficult, I think its because she is so good at what she does. Anytime i have a question or problem, she handles it ASAP. Overall she is the best medically related experience i have ever had. Thank You Dr. Welch! You have helped me more than you probably know.
