I had a procedure done an MRI, the staff was courteous. When I went to check-in, I was told I had to pay over $800 as my deductible at that moment. I paid everything there so i could not have to worry about it. I am not working at the moment but thank God I had my husbands insurance and I had savings. Almost 6 months later, I get a bill for almost $2000. I was shocked needless to say. Apparently, they charged about $9000 for the MRI that I did to my insurance and I had almost $3000 after insurance did their part. I have had one MRI in the past, I dont even remember paying up to $200. I called the billing department and explained to them that last year was a bit tough. I am to my neck in medical bills. The lady (i wont mention her name) said she will speak to the Director and call me back. I never got a callback. I called her and left a message, and she never called me back. I am so disappointed in this hospital. I didnt ask for free service but something reasonable. This hospital did not care and wants to put me through the stress of trying to figure out how to pay them. The stress can put me back in the hospital. People talk about how great the staff is, but when you leave, after you rave about the staff, expect a shock long down the road when all is forgotten. PS : "i just got a letter from them stating i still have not paid my balance despite previous requests" but i called you but DID NOT GET A CALL BACK. This hospital is doing something very wrong and i will look further into their billing practices. It seems they keep lying to people about their deductibles but later send an outrageous bill.

DO NOT USE!!! Very nice staff that takes good care of their patients however, i was told my endoscopy procedure would cost me no more than $45.00 since i had already hit my deductible. That amount was the only reason i agreed to have the procedure done since i had already spent far too much money without getting any answers to my issue. After the 5 minute procedure i was sent a bill that said the procedure cost $18,000.00! No way is that realistic. After insurance i was then sent a bill of over $500.00. I have made consistent payments for multiple months and answered forest parks phone calls each time they asked if i was able to increase my payments. After saying no that said ok you may get called again but i will add a note saying you are making monthly payments. I now received a "final notice" letter saying "Despite after several attempts to contact you, we have not been able to receive a response in order to resolve your account. As a result, your balance is being reviewed for placement with a collection agency" HOW DARE THEM LIE and say they have not been able to contact me nor receive a response. That is a lie, i have talked to them every time they call and how is multiple payments occurring at the same time each month "not been able to receive a response"????? I would NOT recommend this facility to anyone! Unless someone wants to be overcharged, lied to AND make consistent payments yet have your account sent to a collections agency.

I personally wasnt a patient at Forest Park Medical Center in Southlake, but I was there 3 days with my sister who was there undergoing a very stressful surgery. I want to start by saying this is by far the best medical facility I have ever visited. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE i encountered were so friendly and so helpful. From the girl that greets you at the door to the busiest doctor in the facility...these people are simply amazing!! Forgive me for forgetting some names, but the lady that works in the Starbucks ( shoulder length blond hair that worked Mon-Tues-Wed of last week) was one of the nicest people!! Very pleasant to talk to and so friendly. She was gone Thurs when we left so I was never able to get her name. I do want to mention one person in particular....Leah Gamblin. She works the evening shift on the 3rd floor. This woman is one of a kind! She is the kind of person that the second u meet her you feel like you have known her ur whole life. My sister and I just loved her!! She has no idea how much her personality and kindness helped my sister during a rough time. If this world had more "Leah Gamblin"s in it...it would be a much better place. I knew I was going to get here and give the food and the 114 Cafe a huge thumbs up review, but at the end of the stay, I knew that every single person that works here needs the huge thumbs up! To Dr. Beale and the rest of the staff..........YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING!! Thank you!

I was scheduled over a week in advance to have surgery at Methodist Southlake first thing tomorrow morning. I just received a call at 5:45 PM from Lori in the billing department from Methodist Southlake demanding a payment of $5000 upfront before my operation the next day. They gave no prior notice until the night before my scheduled surgery and were not willing to arrange a payment plan after my insurance was billed. After expressing my frustration with Lori and how she was calling me and demanding payment the night before my scheduled surgery and multiple call backs within 15 minutes of my initial conversation with her, she stated that she spoke with the CFO of the hospital and that he was not willing make any other payment arrangements after my insurance was billed. They just wanted payment up front. They called me 15 minutes before their hospital stopped answering any phone calls. Why would they wait till the last minute to call me and drop a $5000 dollar bomb on me without any prior notice? This is the most unprofessional money hungry hospital I have ever dealt with in my life. FYI, beware of the phone call the evening before your scheduled procedure from the hospital demanding payment upfront!!!! I am a City of Southlake tax payer and this is what I get for supporting my local hospital. Shame on Methodist Southlake, and moving forward, I will be giving my business to Baylor Grapevine.

I took my boyfriend to have surgery on Friday, December 16, 20-16. We arrived early just in case they were busy. He was scheduled for 11:30 and was wheeled roughly back for anesthesia and his surgery on time.He was scheduled for a 2-3 hour surgery. So by 2:30 pm I was waiting to be called to meet him back in the recovery room. I was not called until 4:30. When I got back there they did let me sit with him alone, as he was still groggy and wanted to sleep. Upon going through the discharge process, the nurse (a younger Asian woman) kept coming back to his room and asking if he was awake, every fifteen minutes, as if she needed the room. She said she would call to check back on his progress in 24 hours. She ran through the papers withholding recovery information and gave me his prescriptions quickly and after I got him dressed without assistance, she wheeled him to the curb. The next day the nurse did not call. After a few days of recovery he didnt seem to be healing as she had said (bleeding, still sleeping a lot and uncomfortable. I called the hospital, who referred me to the surgeons on call doctor. She told me to do a few things that really helped ease his discomfort quickly. I was disappointed with the lack of follow up and angered by the nurse. I understand they might get busy and the time frame, but to never call as promised is inexcusable. I would not recommend going to that hospital.
