Where to begin. So back in December of 2015 I broke my leg and severely sprained my ankle. I was in Arlington at the time so I was taken to an ER there. After I was discharged I was told that my referral would be sent over to JPS to be seen by an Orthopedic and to wait about a week and call to make my appointment. Great ok. A week goes by and I call and they tell me they havent received my referral yet and to call back in a few days. So I wait a few days and call back only to be told yes they received it but it was being processed and someone would call me to schedule an appointment. I wait a week and call back and was told it had been processed but they have to call me to schedule the appointment so I just had to wait. It came down to me calling every single day for about 3 to 4 months (by that point I was already back at work) and finally give up because I was getting nowhere. Months later my pain still hasnt gone away so I call them and explain the situation and wouldnt you know the notes in the computer said they reached out to me and I declined wanting to be seen and so my referral was closed out. Negative Ghost Rider. I tell her that I never heard from anyone and she apologizes and says she can get me in for an appointment and open my referral back up. Better late than never I guess so I make the appointment. I show up and wait to see the Dr. When they call me back the nurse stopped and told me she thinks Im in the wrong clinic and that I need to be in Podiatry not Orthopedic and to let her check. She comes back a moment later and tells me yes I am but hes already gone for the day so Ill have to reschedule the appointment but the Orthopedic will take a quick look. Mind you I am in the clinic I was scheduled to be in so they made my appointment in the wrong clinic. I am furious at this point and the Dr is apologizing as well as the nurse. Of course Im not upset with them it wasnt their fault but its already been a hassle. I leave there and go down to Patient Relations because they want me to wait another two weeks to be seen by the correct Dr and explain to them the whole situation. The woman I spoke to was extremely helpful I wish I remembered her name, but she got me in with the correct Dr a week later. Im happy with that. My appointment was this morning so I show up see the Dr and he tells me he wants an MRI and to call them to schedule it and then after I have it done call them back to make another appointment. I call them and the woman I spoke to says shell have to call me back. I hear from her about an hour later and she tells me that the Dr put it as stat and her supervisor decided it wasnt a true stat so I would have to make payment arrangements with them to pay it back before they can even schedule my appointment. I ask her how much it would be and she tells me over a thousand dollars. If I had great health insurance and had oodles of money I wouldnt be at JPS in the first place not to mention Im in the middle of transitioning jobs so I cant afford to pay it right this moment. I call the Podiatry clinic back and tell them what I was told and the woman told me she will put a note in the computer for the Podiatrist and nurse and theyll call me back but it might be a while because the Podiatrist is already gone for the day and hes only there on Tuesday mornings. I tell her thank you and leave it at that. I have been fighting with these people for nine months all the while in constant pain. This has by far been the worst experience I have ever had trying to see a Dr to figure out what is wrong with me and frustrated is not a strong enough word for how Im feeling right now.

STAFF CAN NOT BE TRUSTED!!In my vist tonight to the emergency room at j.p.s.i received a very disturbing experience. As multiple staff members did not show any hospitality nor did they acknowledge some of my questions and concerns. Further more the part that was moat disturbing was whenever a R.N. named Josh came to my room in R4 and insisted that he would put my valuables and belongings in a bag for me. He preceded out of my room with my pants which contained multiple of my valuables. After returning my pants in a plastic bag several minutes later i realized that my wallet had been taken out of my pant pocket and placed inside the pant leg, my car/house keys were misplaced, my keychain (2" blade) pocket knife was missing along with the other valuables attached to the keychain, and $65 was taken out of my wallet. When i informed the head of staff in that department she assured me that i was wrong. She did not believe me and told me that she has to much confidence in her staff to even consider investigating the issue. I immediately went to the security office by the front doors of the E.R. hoping to find a remedy to the matter. I was then informed by one of the security guards that my small keychain had been delivered to them which they were holding in a locker for me. In which i was never informed about untill i went looking. Further more my other valuables were not returned to me and the police of the hospital said there was nothing that could be done and did not investigate the matter.

Your absolute last resort. Been sick with a debilitating, undiagnosed GI problem for over two months and have received effectively no treatment. Sat for 13 hours in waiting rooms at the ER because my condition wasnt deemed serious enough for bed assignment. ER tests were all negative, and Ive been stuck in specialty clinic wait time bureaucracy hell ever since. After my symptoms worsened, I have literally not been able to get in contact with a GI nurse or anyone alleging to take care of me, and making a new appointment would likely take another month to materialize, so my worsening symptoms (which are not being looked into) are simply off the radar and look like they are going to stay that way for some time unless I submit myself to ER torment again. Life is agonizing and nobody at this hospital can do anything to help. Also, dont go here if youre having blood content in your urine, because they literally wont look into it for half a year. Showed up in the ER on Sep 19th, couldnt get into urology until November 29th, waited 2 hours to talk to someone for 5 minutes, then was scheduled on March 29th for a cystoscopy, AKA 6.5 months after "blood" happened. Third world wait times. EDIT 03/29/17: Just an update, have gone nowhere since the writing of this review, been sick for 7 months, lost 90 pounds, no sign this hospital is going to gain competence ever. I give up. 1 star is too many.

Completely unsatisfied with this hospital. Not only do they overcharge and charge you for items that you didnt receive ("private room and board" when I was never in a private room, etc.), but apparently it is impossible to receive statements from them. Instead I just get collection notices. It takes an hour to get on the phone with a customer service representative and they are not helpful at all. When I talked to them about the discrepancy on a bill I received, they told me I would have to come to the hospital and pay to have my hospital records given to me so that I could prove that the bills were incorrect. Ive moved since being admitted to the hospital and the drive would be very inconvenient. Furthermore, when I gave them my change of address, the individual only changed my demographic information and not my mailing address, so when they actually did try to send me statements, they went to the wrong address and them blamed me for not receiving the mail. This has been a horrible experience and seven months later, Im still dealing with them and trying to get everything straightened out so that I can never have to deal with them again. This may be a county hospital and, therefore, youre thinking that it will be cheaper then going somewhere else. In my mind, it is just not worth the hassle.
