Stay away! This medical office is extremely dishonest and will tell you anything to get you to perform your vasectomy with them. I researched several companies and called each company asking about their cash rate as I knew it was unlikely that my insurance would cover the procedure. I spoke with a lady in the office where she told me their cash rate. Their rate was slightly higher than other reputable locations I called in Utah. After she gave me the rate, she told me to give her all of my insurance information so she could call the insurance company even though I let her know that I didnt think that the process was covered. The lady in the office called me back and was excited to tell me that my insurance would cover most of the cost. I decided to do the procedure with them as it would save a couple hundred dollars from paying cash elsewhere. On the day of the procedure, I was again assured that my insurance covered the difference from what I paid after asking about it at least two times. About a month or so later, I received a bill from them. I immediately called them and asked what it was for as I had already paid. They told me that the insurance would not pay anything and that I was responsible for the bill. Not only was the bill almost the same as what I could have the procedure completed elsewhere, the amount they billed plus what I had already paid was higher than their own cash rates. They have now sent my bill to collections. I have almost perfect credit so the collections agency is threatening to post this bill to my credit history. I refuse to support dishonest companies in general and hope that others do the same. Even though my bill is not that much money, I will definitely not pay a central to Utah Vasectomy as their practices are very dishonest. Even if the bill was only pennies, I would still prefer to have my credit affected and pay my high attorneys fees rather than let these scammers keep thinking they can get away with this kind of crap. There are tons of great medical offices in Utah but this is most definitely one of those bad apples. I have already discouraged both friends and a brother from using them but hope to reach others. A message to Utah Vasectomy, "You dont have to be dishonest to get new business. Your dishonesty will eventually catch up to you. The couple hundred dollars extra that you tried to scam out of me is a lot less money than getting good referrals. I have had a brother and two friends do a vasectomy since my procedure of which all of them asked me about where I went and whether or not I would recommend them. Im know that they did not use you."

I was very pleased with Dr. Berg and his office. They were kind, fast and the Dr. was very thorough in explaining everything. I know many people who have used Bergs office and they have all been satisfied with the treatment and knowledge of his profession. I would recommend this office to anyone. Remember people, dont combine your health insurance woos with the Docs office. Many times their hands are tied, and in some cases theyre just as surprised at insurance companies decisions as you are. My review is strictly towards Bergs office and professionalism as a doctor and not the insurance billing issues, which I also had to battle with the insurance company on my procedure once complete. But I always have to do that, no matter what doc I use.

I have been to numerous doctors for the last couple of years of living here in Utah. I can honestly say this hospital and staff have been the best to work with. Dr. Berg is extremely nice and really cares about your medical problems. He is willing and ready to go to the next step if needed, unlike some doctors who are there to diagnose and to see the next patient. Also, the front desk is very helpful and nice; including Dr. Bergs nurses who are always happy and patient.
