If I could give Family Care Associates (FCA) zero stars, I would do that. My experience with Family Care Associates the past 3-4 years has been terrible. When I had researched family doctors I saw that Dr. Conchita Paz had good reviews, so I called FCA and they said she wasnt taking new patients, but they had a doctor who was (Dr. Toledo), so I figured that would be good for now. My first appointment at FCA I met Dr. Toledo and she was really unfriendly, cold, and short with me. She was with me 10 minutes and hurried me out with a prescription for an antibiotic. After that I hopped around from doctor to doctor there until they let me see Dr. Paz. My first meeting with her seemed fine, but after seeing her a second time, she was just as cold and seemingly careless as Dr. Toledo. On top of that I had billing issues three times with them. They billed me incorrectly. I had to actually go to the office and speak with the accounting lady to get that sorted out. Over the phone was a dead end. More recently, I called to make an appointment with Dr. Paz because I was having extreme pain and swelling in my jaw, and the front desk lady said that Dr. Paz was out all week and that there were no slots open with any of their five or six doctors. She suggested I go to an urgent care....(whats the point of having a family doctor??) Long story short, FCA is not the kind of place you want to go for good customer service, wether it be the desk attendants or the doctors. If you just want a place that will take your money and leave you feeling like they didnt meet your needs, FCA is perfect. Also, after checking back in at Dr. Pazs reviews, they have gone down drastically since I checked them years ago. It seems like this is the direction the whole company is going.

First visit: I started out with a medical assistant who took my blood pressure, weight, height, etc. She was all about business walking as quickly to the vital-measurement-area as possible, and giving me a set of instructions to do as quickly and coldly as possible, without any eye-contact, smile, or sense of care whatsoever. "Stand here", "Sit Down", "Lift your arm", "Get off". She looked overworked and rushed, as if the facility has too many patients and not enough staff. When I started voicing potential concerns I had with her, she responded with "Ill let the doctor know youre ready". The doctor that took care of me was Dr Linnell. He was friendly enough, but much like the medical assistant, he couldnt be bothered. After telling him my symptoms, he responded with a series of okays and didnt bother to ask about any symptom in more detail, or even attempt to figure out what might be going on. He ordered lab work and was off to the next patient. No care, no concern, no thought. On my way out, while checking-out with the receptionist, I intended to ask her in more detail about my blood work that needed to be done. She was busy with a phone-call, along with the rest of the receptionists. Although she was probably friendly enough, she too looked stressed out and unable to relate to patient concerns. After realizing that the she was providing technical support for their website, I realized that she would not be available any time soon. So much for that. The facility itself is clean and spacious, looks new, and speaks to the amount of money they make. I may have just gone on a really busy day, but it would be nice to feel like they were there to care for me, not just as a way to get money from my HMO.

Dr. Toledo is one very unprofessional doctor! Would not recommend her to anyone. She was very rude and argued with me about everything I was telling her. Like I dont know my own body. I told her Im deaf in my left ear (have been for 13 years now) and she asked well how do you know?( in a very smart ass way) Um I cant freaking hear in that ear!!! The whole reason i was going was to get a referral for an ENT. She didnt even want to give me that. She even told me "maybe you should go to medical school since you know what you are talking about." (And this was not in a nice way. Again in a smart-ass way.) Horrible in every way. My husband and I were shocked by how she acted and furious when we left. So I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND HER AT ALL!!!

Dr. Toledo is extremely rude & unprofessional, did not listen to what I was saying at all, seems to be on a big head-trip about that fact that shes a doctor and you the unworthy ignorant patient need to just shut up and be a rag-doll even if you think you have something important to tell her. Doesnt let you get a word in edgeways. Doesnt take notes apparently, as she seemed to be completely unaware of a medical condition I have that Id already informed her about on a previous visit. I would not recommend her to anyone. Terrible experience.

Ive had pretty good experiences with my doctor here. Staff and receptionist are very friendly. Dont know why some people say otherwise. I been at FCA for a good year already and I go to see Dr. Toldeo. Shes a good doctor and I feel like she listens to me. Shes always been friendly towards me and seems to care. The only problem is that I wish doctors would spend a little more time with the patients, but at the same time I understand that they have a long list of people to see all day.

They have recently adopted a new form of "answering" service in which I have YET to actually get to talk to a human being. I have left multiple messages for my doctor regarding medications and never get a response. Service has declined greatly since I started going here. On top of this, I always feel "rushed" when I come in and that my doctor doesnt really listen to me or any of my concerns whole-heartedly. Currently looking for a new physician.

Just had a very rude experience at Family Care Associates under Dr Toledo, on 1135 S Main St, Las Cruces, NM 88005. My wife had an appointment at 11 oclock arrived at 10:40 filled out paperwork, turned it in by 10:45 and had her appointment cancelled!! The utter arrogance and disrespect shown to my wife in this action is unconscionable. Will not use this service ever.

Dr. Delilah Castelien doesnt seem to care about me or my health problems at all! I feel like I talk to her assistant more than anything and she never answers my questions fully. Even if I ask more on the subject she tells me its nothing to worry about... If you dont know whats going on in your body its can be very nerve racking.

I saw Dr Toledo and thoroughly enjoyed her. She was very professional and took the time to listen to me. Not like other physicians that just get you in and out as quick as they can. I highly recommend Dr Toledo.
