Dr. Pickett came in on his day off to see me because I started experiencing streaks of light in the only eye that I have. I was scared to death that I had retinal detachment. But he came in and checked me out to discover it was vitreous detachment and perfectly normal although annoying and scary. He was kind and put me at ease. I was scared I might be dealing with inevitable blindness and no one else would see me til next week. I was about to go to the ER. Whitney at the front desk was wonderful as well. So friendly and helpful. She helped me pick out some awesome frames for when I go back in. Thank you all so much for being there when I was freaking out and explaining everything to me with such sincere kindness. I will be coming here from now on.

When I lived in Ogden as a kid to about 15 years old, this is where my parents took me. I moved to Salt Lake and started going to Standard Optical and experienced terrible service there. Now I live in Syracuse and went back to see Dr. Pickett here at Optical Associates, and it is definitely worth the 30 minute drive! He answered all my questions very well and didnt rush me through the eye exam like my doctor at Standard Optical did. I would 100% recommend Optical Associates for whatever you need!

Although in the end I did not receive my frames, the staff and doctor were very kind to me during each visit. Dr. Pickett did fix up my existing frames with new lenses and has a great attention to detail in his work. I was refunded and may return in the future.

I do not recommend this clinic. I placed a contact lens order that was supposed to take a week. A month later, I am still waiting, despite numerous phone calls and repeated efforts to get an explanation and accountability.
