When my wife, who is from Mexico, needed a root canal performed, we chose Associates in Comprehensive Dental Care after obtaining a price quote over the phone. The convenient location and years of experience were also selling points. The assistant to the doctor was excellent and compassionate, but that is where the good care ended. The price was nearly twice that quoted, and no one informed my wife before or during the procedure. She was extremely traumatized by the experience, as she had weighed the price against returning to Mexico City to have the procedure done there for much less money. She trusted the medical establishment here, and was instead introduced to a related form of corruption called misinformation and deceit. At no point did ANYONE in the office mention the huge price discrepancy. We had no insurance, and had been spending a lot of money on immigration expenses for her. There is no excuse for doing this to anyone, much less an immigrant without experience in our culture. She felt horrible about the experience, and wasting our money when she could have returned home for the procedure. I mailed a partial payment for the remainder of the price quoted, along with a two page letter outlining our dissatisfaction with the experience. I never received an apology, a phone call, a letter. Absolutely nothing. They did not continue to bill me for the outrageous additional sum, but the anger and feeling of being taken advantage of did not go away. Their arrogance and indifference at treating her this way was simply appalling. Thankfully she had at least received kind and compassionate treatment and advice from our regular dentist in Burlington, Dr. Mark Keydel and his staff. Kudos to them, and shame on the doctors and office manager at Assoc. in Comp. Dental Care who together turned an unpleasant medical procedure into a nightmare. Grew up with a fear of dentist after several bad experiences. Shouldnt be so hard to find a dentist that is trustworthy, gentle, and super approachable but for some reason it was ... until I had Dr. Libraty work on me. With less than a days notice, he quickly fixed a chipped bottom tooth all while making sure I was comfortable and fully aware of how he was going to fix the tooth. After the great job, I came back to him to do bonding on my two front teeth and left feeling more confident in my smile than I had ever felt before. **Lastly** If youre not a fan of needles then you should be seeing Dr. Libraty - his entire demeanor is incredibly calming and hes incredibly gentle while applying the novocaine ... its done before you even know it!

The services provided by ACDC are good, however they will lie constantly about cost. Make sure you call your insurance company and ask what and for how much will be covered. If you take the people at ACDCs estimate as your cost will will surely be disappointed. Every single time I was given a quote from them they were not even close to the actual amount I ended up paying. I caught on after they took $3,000 from me. Again, services and dentists are nice, just lie through their teeth and nickel and dime everything. Check with your insurance company about EVERYTHING before allowing them to do work.

I am an American living in Montreal who decided to come back to the states to get some cavities filled. I came here to get 4 small cavities filled in my front/side teeth and was overcharged (approx 1,000), even amidst them knowing that I was paying out of pocket. I just today got back from a great dentist here in Montreal who charged only $650 CAD for 5 cavities. Looks like I should have got my work done back in Montreal in the first place!

I had a lot of dental treatment from many different dentists since I was a kid and after seeing Dr. Libraty I now know the difference between an OK dentist and a brilliant dentist. He treated me with respect and explained everything to me and I had virtually no discomfort after my surgery and was back to work the next day. They are willing and cooperative to work through financing for bigger jobs and have always been courteous and kind. Highly Suggested.
