It says a lot about Dr. Tom Peltzer when he has been named many times over the years "The Best Dentist in Connecticut" by his professional dental peers. Dr. Peltzer is one of the few dentists on the entire East Coast who provides IV sedation daily to his patients. His patients are comfortably treated with a wide range of services from wisdom teeth extractions to root canals to cosmetic dentistry to fillings, crowns, implants and bridges. He can confidently do it all. His patients comfort and safety is Dr. Peltzers number one priority. Patients drive and fly in from many states just to have Dr. Peltzer take care of their dental needs. I have participated in a dental study club with Dr. Peltzer. It is by invitation only. It is made up with some of the finest dental clinicians in the nation. I have studied with Dr. Peltzer for many years and find that he is the ultimate professional and very knowledgable in many phases of dentistry. I first met Dr. Peltzer when he was doing his training in Anesthesiology at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. While he was a dentist, he impressed me with his skill and knowledge of Sedation in general and Anesthesiology in particular. I remember Dr. Peltzer as being among the very best students in our program. He was skilled, very well trained and compassionate with patients in the operating room. His high level of ability and understanding of anesthesiology and the ability to safely and proficiently relax his patients made Dr. Peltzer unique and a delight to teach and work with. His passion for dentistry in general and for helping maintain his patients comfort with anesthesia was very evident. Now that we are both back on the East Coast, I highly recommend his services to my patients. His skills and compassion and understanding of placing patient comfort and safety first still impress me. Dr. Peltzer did a great job on my new teeth. I had gum disease really bad and Dr. Peltzer was understanding and knew immediately what to do. The entire staff was gentle and friendly during my treatments and with sedation dentistry he was able to correct my condition while I was totally unaware of having dental treatment done. Dr. Thomas Peltzer provided an excellent experience for me during my recent treatment. His entire staff was wonderful and Dr. Peltzer is very competent and skilled. I had minimal discomfort even after having four wisdom teeth pulled and an implant put in to replace my old partial denture. I couldnt believe how well things went. Dr. Peltzer did a fantastic job on my cosmetic dentistry veneers. I love how he is a specialist at sedation dentistry which is what I really needed. Actually I was able to use just novocaine while Dr. Peltzer created a beautiful smile for me with his cosmetic dentistry skill. My new smile and veneers look terrific! Dr. Peltzer helped me get out of pain from a terrible toothache which my previous dentist was not able to deal with because I needed a molar root canal. I was really scared but Dr. Peltzer and his team was great and helped me relax and explained everything. He was very understanding and gentle. I found Dr Peltzer to be incredibly rude and condescending at the time of procedure, when I called because the bleeding wouldnt stop, and at my follow up. The billing staff told me my insurance was accepted, but I was told I was responsible for the amount out of pocket. This seems unethical to me, especially because with insurance there are contracts for lesser rates. It may have been intentional.

Dr. Peltzer is a master at cosmetic dentistry. He did my front 6 teeth veneers and they look and feel incredible. ONLY reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is Dr. Peltzer is so busy that getting in to see him without waiting for an appointment is a bit of a problem. Apparently people come to see him from all over the place and hes extremely busy. Guess thats a good thing after all. elaine, farmington

Dr. Peltzer is a Cosmetic Dentist better than all the other ones I have been to. And Ive spent alot of time in dentists chairs over the years. I had a crown that 3 other dentists could not match to the color of my teeth. Dr. Peltzer matched the color of my new crowns and eventually made my other front teeth look much better also. This dentist doesnt deserve one star. The dentist along with his staff were unbelievably rude. It guess its easy being rude when youre ripping people off all day. His estimate was $12,000 compared to my own dentist that charged $1,800 for the same work with IV sedation. The only thing Peltzer cares about is his big fat bank account.

I had a very bad experience with this office. Very expensive, not very friendly, and they took my money and never really gave me the services promised. I had to see another dentist to get help. Rip Off!
