I have been running for nearly 25 years and recently moved to the Charlottesville area. In September of last year I became an Ironman and during my training this year I injured my lower back and shoulder and was sent to Maddy at Move Better Physical Therapy because of her expertise with athletes and more specifically runners. The entire staff at Move Better is very friendly, knowledgeable and professional including the PTAs and the office staff. Maddy shared her extensive knowledge as she treated me for my lower back and shoulder issues. She explained what she wanted me to do, showed me what to do, and explained what muscles were used during the exercises which helps to understand why to do it in the first place. I was a patient of Maddys following my Florida 1/2 Ironman in April and she was able to get me back on track and ready for my second race which just concluded in Michigan last weekend. I look forward to racing even faster and pain free in Atlantic City next month thanks to Maddy at Move Better! Thanks again Maddy!

The staff here is amazing. They motivate and push you to your full potential. Im normally a sceptic of most medical advice, however, I followed their instructions and felt back to normal in no time. They work with you for flexible appointment hours, scheduling conflicts, and any other sort of complication. No judgment atmosphere allows you to try your hardest. I highly recommend.

I was going to give them 5 stars and until the last day. They are super friendly. But they do not waiver on that cancellation policy. Instead of canceling (under 24 hours) when you find out you have the flu, just go in and give everyone the flu so you dont have to pay the $30 cancellation fee.

Move Better PT is great. Tom was my therapist, extremely knowledgeable, patient, personable, and pulls out all the tools necessary to solve the issues. Saw several years ago and went back for another issue a couple years later. Would return again if necessary.
