I wish I could rate this as zero stars. Upon coming in for my initial appointment from the hospital to get a cast, the front staff was extremely rude. They asked me to file paperwork. When I told them I cant write due to my broken hand they told me to deal with it on my own. Even when I asked for help writing. So you expect me to write wich is extremely painful, with my broken hand. Upon my second visit, when removing my cast the lady cut a large incision in my hand because she was rushing . She tried to claim it was cut before she even took the cast off. She did not offer any remorse or accept that she did it when It happened until some one else from the office came in. Also the wait time here seems a little long for a doctors office. Not sure why I could not have come in at my scheduled time to at least start the process and get x- rays and then sit and wait for my doctor. They had staff to do that part first wich was the first step before seeing by doctor. Poor time management. This is not a rant. I am just sharing some concerns for this office. I am in sales and I understand how customers do like to complain. Im not doing this for any gain but hopefully management here will fix these issues if they are shown to the public and improve customer care/ interactions

They sent my bill to the wrong address and reported to a collection agency when I didnt pay a bill I never recieved. Then they added a collection agency fee to my invoice. When I found out I had an outstanding bill and called them, they made it sound like it was my fault I didnt pay a bill I never received, and refused to take off the collection agency fee. They had previously sent a bill for another service to the correct address, which I had paid promptly.

their billing office is one of the worst. Be carful! The billing office is not willing to work with you and their communication skills are terrible. The treatment I received there was okay. But the doctors and the billing office are not on the same page and have terrible communication. I do not recommend their services. Do not go by what they say at the billing counter. MAKE SURE YOU READ fine print before accepting treatment. I DO NOT recommend OrthoVA.

Doctor Childs is an excellent Orthopedic Specialists who I recommend to anyone needing spine surgery but the office staff is rude and makes many mistakes. unfortunately, Doctor Childs has little control over the office staff because this is a corporation and not a private practice.
