The staff seems to always be confused. Most recently my insurance needed an explanation of why I needed a a specific medication they had given me a prescription for. Both the pharmacy and I contacted the office asking them to do this. Instead the office has now sent 2 more prescriptions for the same medicine to two different pharmacies but has never gotten my insurance to approve. According to the pharmacy and the insurance the Doctors office has never responded to there request. I have now call three times and the pharmacy has sent four request. It wouldnt be so bad if it was a one time thing but it is everything they do. I had the same kind of problems when an issue was found on a medical test and I needed more testing done. Crazy. Most unorganized Doctors office I have ever dealt with. Hope this helps keep someone else from having to deal with this location. If you have an option go else where.

Well, I didnt make it past a first phone call - they apparently dont know what insurance they accept. If you provide the name of the carrier, numbers etc. that doesnt mean anything - instead you need to call your insurance company first to ask if your allowed to go to UVA Primary Care. However, if you call Rapidan Medical Center which is maybe 1000 ft. away, you can just tell them what insurance you have and they can tell you whether they accept it or not and then get your appointment scheduled. Maybe Im just being difficult but if I cant even make it past the first phone call then Im not sure its a doctors office I should be visiting - I want good care, not a "we dont want to deal with you attitude." Thanks but no thanks.

People have to understand that Dr. Johnson is the only practicing pediatrician in our general area. He is very busy. He splits his time between two offices, one is in culpeper. We bounce back and forth if we cant get the appointment we need or want. We think he is amazing. Always patient and always kind even though our son used to act NUTS at his check ups lol. We first met the Dr at Culpeper Hospital when our son was born and we were thrilled when moved to the office here. If you are waiting an extended time in a room, perhaps another patient is taking longer than expected. Ive never experienced this and we typically dont wait long in the waiting room either. I have no complaints about the nurses or receptionists.

This family practice is a true gem. I attend most of the appointments with my family members and have gotten a true feel of the practice over the past few years. Not sure why the other reviews are so negative. The receptionists have been friendly and helpful with all my interactions thus far. Nursing staff seems very professional and capable. I have had the most interaction with the pediatrician Dr. Johnson and one of the nurse practitioners, Ms. Howell. They both seem to genuinely care about my young cousins, provide excellent medical care, and are very personable. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

This place is amazing!! the doctors are great, the nurses are great , they always care about me and my family. They always take the time needed to take care of us and they never Rush us out. Ive never waited more than 10 minutes to see the doctor and I can usually get a same-day appointment if needed. Highly recommended great people

I am updating my review. I will give the pediatrician 5 stars. Dr Johnson is awesome with our daughter and almost always on time. On the other hand I have been here and put to wait in a room for 30-45 minutes. Overall I would not give them 3 stars but I high 2.
