It took me 1 hour and 40 minutes to be seen by a provider. The waiting room had literally one other person who came in after me. The PA, (I believe her name was Meredith) seemed clueless and disinterested as to why I was in pain when I presented with classical gallstone signs/symptoms. Only after consultation with the doctor did she suggest taking shots of Apple Cider Vinegar to relieve my pain, because it worked for her. She told me she could not prescribe pain medication even though my pain was rated 7/10. On top of all of that, my prescription was never e-faxed to the pharmacy. I called the next day from the pharmacy to have them resend, and they said they did. When I went up to the counter after waiting another ungodly amount time, the pharmacist said they never received the prescription. FOR THE SECOND TIME. So, I called and asked to speak with the manager this time. I was told there was no manager available, and I waited 15 minutes on the phone for the doctor to pick up. I am still waiting on my prescription. The doctor who helped was unapologetic door my situation. When I was done at WV Urgent Care, I drove directly to the ER and I was triaged by the RN who said I had classical gallbladder symptoms. I was brought directly back to a room, had an ultrasound, UA, and labwork done and was discharged within 2 hours with gallstones, biliary colic, and I was given the pain medication I so desperately needed. This was quite possibly one of the worst experiences Ive ever had at a medical facility, WV Urgent Care... Patients, beware, dont waste your time (literally) here. If I thought they actually cared, I would have filed a formal complaint against them, however, it is evident that they have no intention to change since reviews going back years all have the same complaints. Im done.

UPDATE: Im writing to let users know that my first review was addressed with a personal phone call from the Management of this facility. It was unexpected and I am so grateful that there is still a personal touch within organizations such as this. I have not needed to return to this facility but I will say that I was assured that in the future if I was to return that our needs would be met and I believe it and I will return if we need it. Where do I begin? I had a sick 5 year old boy this morning who was in intense headache pain to the point of throwing up. As we entered the facility, I sent him into the lobby restroom to try to vomit. We were ignored initially until I admittedly, a bit panicked, hit the clear window trying to grab a roster to sign in. The person behind the desk was startled and I apologized. She was clearly annoyed with me and asked who I was there to see. I stated I wasnt sure and then she asked Urgent Care? You need to go the other side pointing to the waiting room. We did so and after 5 minutes a new reception person says are you waiting to be seen? Yes I replied. You need to sign in. Then she asked for my ID and insurance. I told her I forgot my card at home because we rushed out. I asked if could give it to her this afternoon and she said no she had to have a card. I guess we were turned away at an urgent care! With no compassion for a frazzled Mom, no concern for a small child and no helpful attitude toward helping find a solution.

Ive never been able to see a doctor here so I cant comment on that but today was the second time Ive been told I would have a two hour or more wait time. There was literally no other people in the waiting area and virtually no cars in the parking area. I was told that there is only one doctor on staff on Sunday and that wait times are always long. It seems asinine to staff only one doctor on the weekend which is when most people need an urgent care as normal doctor offices are closed. I was told to possibly try the Inwood branch, but that they would also have long wait times from being woefully understaffed, I could drive 30 minutes to Winchester to a Med Express, or go to the Emergncy Room. I have given this branch multiple tries due to it being connected to my PCP doctors, but there is absolutely no way someone can wait with a sick fevered baby for two or more hours. Terrible.

I went here because I had really bad pain in my throat and fever. when I came up to the window, the receptionist ask my name and because I had lost my voice she ask me to repeat it I was in pain so I ask her for a piece of paper to write down my name and DOB but she refuses telling me that I have to say it not write it. After telling her my name with difficulty I start crying because I forced to much! I paid $120 for consultation after a month I received another bill from the doctor, so I called them to let them know that I made the payment in advance, this RUDE receptionists told me things that they never mention at my visit like getting another bill. I do not recommend this place or go back again!! RUDE!!!

Not so Urgent... care. I arrived at 9:15am, asked for a strep test, was told wait time was between 1.5 - 2 hours. Being ill, I didnt want to hangout that long. Was told to check back that evening. Called about 6pm, was told wait was a little over an hour at that point. I arrived at 7:45pm and was told they werent accepting anymore (even though theyre open till 9 and supposedly accept till 8:45pm). I do feel bad for the nice woman at the front desk, who was working long hours (she was there when I arrived that morning and there when arrived that night). Long story short: be prepared for a significant wait or no service.

The wait is always long. The doctors are friendly, if not a little dismissive. One doctor prescribed me an antibiotic that didnt work, so a second doctor prescribed a different one that did work. A week later I got a call saying that the second doctor had prescribed the incorrect antibiotic and that I should take the original one for a third week. The clerk who called was actually angry with me when I told her I wasnt going to do that. I got on the phone with the doctor and he told me to ignore the whole thing. I then paid for both visits and both doctors? Use the Jefferson Urgent Care instead.

Took my child there on 2-18-17 because he hurt his foot earlier that day - turned out he broke 1, maybe 2 of the bones in his foot. Kayla checked us in and took care of us in the exam room and took our X-rays. She did an excellent job. Service was fast, when we arrived - we were the only ones there. Doctor was nice too, and diagnosed the foot properly, still need to see a specialist next week because my son is only 2, but overall pleased with the care we received. Trust future interaction with them will be as good as today.
