This is a long read BUT well worth knowing what your walking into. I came here for drug screening for my job for the very first time so I read reviews on this location being it was the closest to me & did not see much of any good things any one had to say about this place other then the parking. Giving them the benefit of the doubt I took my chances and took the 30 min drive, when I arrived to the correct office the receptionist was RUDE she acted d as if she did not want to be there and that the people coming in didnt matter. I saw the sign in sheet for "Appointments" which I did not have, I was a walk in (and it was also my first time so I didnt know how they operated) so I proceeded to ask her if I was still suppose to be writing on this specific sign in sheet because it said APPOINTMENT and she looked at me like I was stupid, rolled her neck with and attitude, and said "YES, its a sign in sheet", that was strike one, there was no need to be nasty about what I asked. The wait in the lobby wasnt that long but even after I went to the back I waited a hour to be seen. As I walked to the back you would think them being older adults they would have the common courtesy to greet you or speak back when spoken to NOPE I flashed plenty of smiles and spoke to everyone I made eye contact with and they all give you that blank "why are you talking/looking at me" stare, not one of the employees I came in contact with was inviting. When I got to where I should be seated there was two people in front of me a lady and a man, the lady explained she had be waiting for almost 2 hours (so I guess I got lucky only having to wait an hour). The man went in and was having a whole conversation while me and this other lady was waiting(we heard the whole conversation) & when it was the lady turn plenty of nurses were in and out that room invading this lady privacy, even though there is a separate room behind a door you can take your test in without the nurse watching, this lady kept the door cracked I guess to let the nurse know she wasnt tampering in any way and a nurse had the general entrance door to the room open wide enough for me to see straight through and see this lady wiping her private area! She didnt even realize the door was open and Im just glad the gentleman that was sitting beside me had went before us because if I could see it from where I was sitting I know he would have seen her, strike 2! And Finally after waiting a hour I was put on hold because the lady collecting pee did not know what she was doing! I had to wait an additional 10 mins while other nurses came in and had to reassure that she didnt mess anything up, if your not confident in your profession then you dont need to be doing it! SO if you have to take drug testing DO NOT go to the Newport News location try over at the Hampton location first because you will not be welcomed here!

Hampton , Newport News....It doesnt matter the location, the staff is unprofessional. And I truly wonder if any of them know what they are doing. They border on dangerous. I make an appointment, arrive early and am still seen well after the scheduled time slot. It just does not matter. When is LabCorp going to do something about these maniacs? I have to use them per my insurance coverage. Have complained verbally, in writing and directly to my HR department. This office and the one in Hampton should be closed and padlocked. In the years I have had to use LabCorp, I have had one instance where my arm did not look like abused and bruised. And that was a student, not one of the regular phlebotomist. If I had bad or weak veins, I would understand. I have been rushed out and have had to stop at a drug store to get something to stop the bleeding from where the blood was drawn. I now keep a first aid kit in the car, just in case. Watched them bully an older woman into handing over a credit card, even though she had insurance + medicare. She asked me did I have to give up my cc to get my blood drawn and I explained that if there is a bill, let them invoice me. Thats why I have insurance. She asked for the card back, told them she wished to be invoiced and they were even more hateful. Bottom line... find another lab, use your doctors office, use Riverside - Sentara - or Mary Immaculate. If you are stuck using them, pray.

Disgusting. I was sent here by my provider for blood work. For starters, the person who drew my blood is not changing her gloves between patients. In fact she is wearing gloves at all times. Opening doors, typing and touching computer screens, then taking those EXACT SAME gloves and using them to draw blood from patient to patient. They dont sanitize rooms between patients, a man walked out of a room and as I was directed to go into thw room he was coming of. I noticed that nothing had been wiped so I wiped it myself. As Mo drew my blood she used those gloved hands to feel for a vein, wiped it with alcohol, then feel for the vein before sticking me. Totally defeated the purpose of using gloves, or alcohol. This is how people get infections. I can deal with attitude and customer service, I can not on the other hand deal with unhygenic practices that can be detrimental to patient health.

Not many medical centers you can visit where a NURSE tries to explain billing to you, and incorrectly I might add. I asked the receptionist (who looked like she hated her life) how long the wait would be and she told me she had no idea and then later told a man what his wait time was. The receptionist even called a nurse into the reception desk to gossip about a patient. The most unprofessional place I think Ive ever been to. The receptionist is never helpful and always speaks to you like youre bothering them, The nurses hang out behind the reception desk gossiping and joking while theres a room full of people waiting, Ive even seen the nurses taking SELFIES instead of working. Dont even bother making an appointment because they never honor it.

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!! the receptionist is completely unprofessional she probably does not know what she is doing. The only nice person there is a Nurse from Jamaica, if there was a separate website to give nurses reviews she would be the only one with 5 stars from me. The lady from Jamaica is probably the only one that goes there to work. I have never seen such disrespectful people. The staff there only go to gossip and goof off.

Unfortunately I had a very bad experience. this location lost my lab results and told my employer that they did not have any record of me coming in. which is entirely untrue. I turned in the lab drug test request from my employer took my test but no results. This place is extremely unprofessional and the employees are very rude.
