I wish this had always been my dental practice! I made an appointment with Dr. Harper because I wanted a trusted dentists opinion on my recent Orthodontic consult. I hadnt been to my previous dentist in several years and since the orthodontist was recommending some things that were more invasive than I anticipated I decided to seek Dr. Harpers opinion. I had some familiarity with his practice and standards of care from living in the same community. It was very easy to make the initial appointment and the date was within a week of my call. The receptionist was friendly and followed up by mailing paperwork to me so I wouldnt have to fill it out on site. The care I was given today was thorough and exceptional. From start to finish Harper Dental Care made me comfortable, at ease, answered my questions, and took fantastic care of my mouth. It was the best trip to the dentist Ive had. Ill trust Dr. Harper and his staff with my dental care from this point on.

Make sure YOU contact your own insurance company before going to see Dr. Harper. Went to see Dr. Harper after having a painful experience getting my x-rays/exam done along with a few crowns with another dentist and seeing all of the amazing reviews for Dr. Harper. Was told that my x-rays and exam would be covered 100% by the dental assistant and Billing staff then come to find out I was charged for having x-rays done by them after having already paid for x-rays from my previous dentist. Dr. Harper could have easily acquired my dental records and used them without any issue, but now I had to pay twice for something I didnt need to at all. Will not be returning to Dr. Harper and will be going elsewhere. I dont normally write reviews, but having to deal with something that could have easily been avoided or even dismissed due to their error I felt it necessary to write this. Do yourself a favor and look for a dental office who knows what theyre doing.

One more post before the day ends... Just want to say thank you to the crew at my dentist! Yall are amazing! To any of my friends looking for a new dental group I would HIGHLY recommend this group! I have had the worst anxiety in the past whenever I even hear the word "dentist"! When I say anxiety I mean CRAZY! My heart rate goes crazy, blood pressure goes up and so on! Well a few years ago someone (not sure who) recommended Dr. Harper to me. They are located on the outskirts of poquoson. I have to say... EVERYONE in that office has made every experience Ive had with them so welcoming and calm. I now actually look forward to going there I recently had a death in my family and not only did they make recheduling easy, but they also sent a condolences card which was super thoughtful of them. Soooo I just want to say thank you to all of them for always making my experience there wonderful and not dreadful! Thank you!

My name is Angela Steiner and Im using my friends account.... When I arrived at the office I was nervous about the possibility of experiencing a lot of pain during my procedure. Upon voicing my concerns, they very kindly suggested they could reschedule my appointment until I could arrange a driver so I could be sedated rather than just have a local anesthesia. I did just that and didnt feel a thing! Even after my visit (and my nap!) I had little to no soreness and have had no problems since. Everyone at Dr. Harpers office was friendly and empathetic. Thanks so much for making my visit stress-and pain-free! I will definitely return for future dental care.

Had a filling in a front tooth redone that was first done at another dental practice a few years ago. The entire experience was very satisfying. I was greeted by a friendly staff member and then was promptly taken to the treatment area. Dr. Harper took time to explain the procedure before starting. While waiting for the numbing agent to take effect, Dr. Harpers assistant offered me a choice of magazines. During the procedure I did not experience any pain or discomfort. Dr. Harper was very through in making sure the appearance and bite were correct. After the procedure, Dr. Harper explained the precautions I could take to protect my new filling.

I have been going to this practice since 1983 (when Dr. Moore was practicing), and over the years they have always been very professional in serving my dental needs. Dr. Harper and his staff continues to modernize the office to make my visits as efficient and enjoyable as possible. Both the front office staff (Rachel) and my hygienist (Jennifer) are always very friendly and pleasant, and Jennifer explains every step of the visit beforehand. I would highly recommend Dr. Harper to anyone in the Tidewater region that is looking for a dentist.

Dr Harper and his staff are some of the most professional folks Ive ever had the pleasure of meeting. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and do a thorough job of explaining procedures. Dr Harper is always up on the latest techniques and procedures which is very comforting especially if you are going in for more than just a simple routine teeth cleaning. My two pre-teen daughters are also relaxed while in their care and that says a lot for two girls that do not like Doctor or Dentist office visits. -I highly recommend Harper Dental Care.

Everyone at Harper Dental was so amazing to me! I went in because Ive been having severe jaw pain. Dr. Harper preformed a few tests and explained my issues to me very clearly. I needed a splint made but was leaving for vacation. Dr. Harper had my impressions done and splint made within a week of my first appointment before I left for vacation! The splint improved my pain within the first month! Im so grateful for the attention and care I received at Harper Dental!
