About a month ago I thought my pug had a UTI so I called her vet who gave me a weeks worth of Clavamox. Three days after finishing the antibiotics I brought a urine sample into the vet. The vet called back and focused on the specific gravity of the urine being off. Dr. wanted to do bloodwork and I specifically asked if it was ok to wait a few weeks ($$) and he said sure. She was leaking urine everywhere. I figured it was renal failure and that I was losing her. Devastating. Ive been so upset. I took her in last week for bloodwork and more urine and left her for the day. Shes pretty much down in her back end now. She has paralysis, diagnosed by 2 vets – it’s pretty common to pugs. But shes still happy and her cart will be here soon. But they said she’d get UTI’s because she’s unable to fully void her bladder. Again, common in pugs. I finally got a copy of the U/A from 3 weeks ago today and it blew my mind. Yes, the specific gravity was off ~ but she also had elevated protein, blood in the urine (+1) and elevated pH (7.5) plus a few struvite crystals. She may have STILL had a UTI after the last batch of antibiotics and the vet didnt give her any more antibiotics. I dont know why. Fair warning, I’m a pretty sophisticated consumer (worked for a vet for 20 years). Went into see Dr. Hogge at Noah’s Ark says he thinks its a UTI probably because shes not voiding her bladder all the way due to the paralysis. I asked about proin or changing diet to modify the pH of the urine to help. I asked about low dose antibiotics. And acupuncture. And PT. I must have been taking up too much of his time. He shot me down on everything. The other vets told me it was probably a spinal tumor or other degenerative disease and there wasnt anything I could do. Dr. Hogge says its more likely a disc issue and that it probably could have been fixed had I been more diligent in her treatment. He was quite nasty about it. Said it would cost about $2K for an MRI and then $6K for disc surgery. He seemed very proud to tell me that it was my fault for not seeking treatment. Her back issue has been progressively getting worse for about 2 years. She was never in any acute pain nor was there an injury to her. Bloodwork and urine showed a UTI. New antibiotic prescribed and thankfully she’s doing great. I told the receptionist the above who said she would pass it along to the owner of the clinic. No follow up ~ not even a call to see if the antibiotic was working. I think I’m going back to the other vet who was, at least, kind and understanding about my pet and not rude and arrogant. And she certainly didn’t set out to guilt me for my pet’s condition like Dr. Hogge did.

This is a review for the pet boarding service here. Absolutely wonderful service! They are so pleasant and friendly and take great care of our dog. We used to go somewhere else to board our dog but for the past few times and probably for as long as we live in the area will take our dog here. They are very thorough and walk her several times a day, as well as offer pamper and play packages, and even provide us a detailed sheet of how each of her walks went. The first time we came we asked to see where our dog would be staying and the staff graciously took us on a thorough tour of their facility which was wonderful. Everyone is very nice an accommodating... on our last visit, we accidentally missed our drop off time which was an error on our part, but we called and the staff were still there and still allowed us to drop our dog off after hours, which was a lifesaver. (We wont do it again we promise! But thanks so much for your patience and understanding as we had a family emergency). In short, we absolutely love this boarding service and are considering switching from our vet to this one as well. Thanks Noahs Ark!

We needed to find Milo another vet and this place came highly recommended by our neighbor. Making an appointment was a breeze and painless (thank you Paige). Front desk staff was welcoming and inviting (thank you Stacie and Tammy). This was a great 1st appointment for Milo. His tech (thank you Sandra) handled him with care and Milo took to her quickly. Dr. Sparkman is the one (thank you)! He is personable, very knowledgeable and explained everything to me. All of my questions were answered. The staff is very friendly, have a great rapport among themselves and made us feel comfortable. I am so glad that I brought Milo and I highly recommend bringing your pet here!

Our family was concerned that we were about to lose our 15 year old dog, Max; he has serious spine disease and was unable to stand up on his hind legs. We brought him to out veterinary clinic, Noahs Arc for diagnosis and treatment, we were not optimistic as to his prognosis. We were overwhelmed by the extent of the care and attention that was provided to Max, and we were asked to be patient and optimistic with his treatment. I am delighted to say that Max has recovered the use of his back legs and is functioning again. The entire staff at Noahs Arc are very kind and very caring, compassionate and very capable. Max was in great hands.

Our family was on vacation in the area, and our cockapoo, Kit Kat, got sick. Dr. Sparkman took us in immediately when we called. My family and I will never forget the professional, compassionate care he and his staff provided on July 3, 2017. I even received a follow-up call after we returned home from our vacation. Many thanks to all the staff at Noahs Ark. Yo u truly were a blessing to us. Kit Kat is back to her healthy, very active life!!! The Brogna Family from Exton, PA

We were greeted warmly from the first phone call. We got an appointment the same day and we were even seen early. We had a difficult decision to make about our newly adopted dog and Dr. Hogge was so patient and thorough in explaining everything, giving us options, and time to decide. On checkout, the desk staff was supportive and tried their best to give us resources to help with care decisions and cost. I would definitely recommend this practice.

If you need a vet, this is the place to go. Staff is friendly and doctors are great! My dog cant wait to visit Noahs Ark. He always gets his favorite treat from the receptionist at the front desk and wags his tail when Dr. Sprenkel walks in the exam room. They are very caring and always remember to ask if I need anything else before I leave. I almost forgot to get Frontline last week and sure was glad when Cori asked me if I needed anything that day.

Dr. Sparkman is great! His whole staff is wonderful. They take great care of my two dogs every time we go. I have to say they went above and beyond for me yesterday. My dog got a baby bunny in the backyard. Dr Sparkman came back in after having already leaving the clinic for the day and met me to help the bunny out. This is the best office to bring your animals to!
