I had two problems with Aerowood. The first experience was with an injured dog I found not far from their facility. I took him there and left my name but instructed them NOT to give my name to anybody, in the interest of my privacy. They were able to fix up the dog and reunite him with his owner, AND they gave him my name and phone number, whereupon he called me to thank me. All well and good, but they ignored my request to respect my privacy. My second bad experience was with my own dog. She had a rash on her belly and I mentioned it to the vet. He said it was nothing to worry about. The next trip to the vet (annual checkup) she still had the rash and I told him about it again. Also, she smelled like mushrooms. He said "make sure you wash the soap off when you bathe her." That was the full extent of his response to her yearlong rash. So I took her to Alpine Animal Hospital in Issaquah, and the vet there actually took some swabs and looked at them under a microscope and pronounced that my dog had a yeast infection and a bacterial infection. Bunch of drugs later, she was clear of the rash and smelled normal. I no longer take my dog to Aerowood.

My little pom had been dealing with elevated liver and gallbladder issues for the past 2 1/2 months. He was very sick on Saturday but my regular vet said it was a stomach ache even though they had been treating for liver and gallbladder problems. They were very wrong. I had even called them 2x on Sunday (the next day) and they insisted it was a stomach ache and his feeling bad was normal. Later that night I rushed my boy to Aerowood and it turned out his gallbladder had ruptured. Dr. Dawson got him comfortable. I made the decision to let him go to the rainbow bridge. He was 13 1/2 and the only other option was surgery. I didnt want to wait with my decision and have him in continued pain. He meant too much to me. Dr. Dawson and Desiree were amazingly compassionate to my pom and I. They made him as comfortable as possible and we very kind to me when I had to let him go. Veterinary care at any Vet is not cheap but please remember that Aerowoods costs are in line with other vets. Emergencies at my own vet are not less expensive. The thing I was grateful for was the immediate care to my pom.

Weve been with Aerowood for awhile now for our two labradors and have had some problems off and on over the years such as being overcharged, vets performing tests without our authorization to rack our bill up and allergic reactions to shots. We always changed to a new vet at Aerwood thinking this would solve the problems, however we were pushed and pushed into giving our dogs a new immunization which we always turned down because we didnt know enough about it. The vet was relentless saying because we have labs we shouldnt think twice about not giving this shot. One of our labs developed a severe allergic reaction to it (or it was a combo of the regular shots and adding this one) and had to be taken into emergency care for two shots at $100! The vet never explained any side effects and I wish I would have listening to my instict and said no. Well be switching vets immediately, I would strongly recommend finding a different vet if youre considering this one.

We have been going to this vet for approx 30 years now and the office manager is the same office manager from when I was 2 years old (Im now 33). The office has become worse and worse over time. You are rushed in and out like cattle. The costs are never explained properly and every time I walk in there I am pushed for vaccines that cost around $70 bucks. The costs for services are outrageous. The final straw was at our last appt we were informed in the waiting room in front of other people that we could no longer be extended credit because our account was past due. It turned out to be a billing mistake on their part but we had been completely embarrassed and angered by their rudeness lack of privacy. Im sad to say that after 30 years I wont be going back.

Ive had my last visit to Aerowood. I have been taking my animals here for years. Over time they have become an assembly line when it comes to service. They are also much more expensive than other vets I have been checking out. I was extremely unhappy with the way they handled my last emergency visit with my cat. The front desk staff was rude. They messed up my bill. I was charged $400 of extra stuff. Since I knew what my cat was in for, I looked at my itemized statement and called them on some items that I knew were mistakes. They then had to take off a bunch of items. If I hadnt really looked at the statement, I wouldnt have caught this. Overall, this wasnt ny first problem so Im done. Access critical care in renton is cheaper and also do a better job.

We had a cat that developed a fever of 106.1 after our vet hours on a Friday evening. We brought him to Aerowood where they were able to get us in quickly, give him a fever reducer, fluids and get his blood work done within a half-an-hour. That wasnt too expensive, ($336) considering it was an emergency and blood work was done. The fact that they wanted to keep him for 72 hours at minimum $350 per day seemed a bit unecessary. We took him home and monitored him through the night, and were able to get him to his regular vet in the morning where he stayed the whole day, was given fluids and antibiotics and we were sent home with additional antibiotics and the bill was $58! We love our vet! Hes on the mend.

4 years ago, my dearest dog Tommy who was a rescue dog living with renal disease came to the end of his life after years of patientand loving care from Aerowood. I finally had to make the always difficult decision to let him go. Two weeks later I stopped by to talk to the wonderful people at Aerowood and they introduced me to a little black curly mix that had been living at the Clinic for six weeks. He was found out on a road with his back leg broken at the age of six weeks. The vets cared for him all that time with no thought of payment. When we met I knew this dog was for me. There was no charge, no fee. I brought home the most wonderful dog and named him Smitty. Thank you, Aerowood. By Suzanne

We had an incident with our 7 week old kitten and a rocking chair. The staff at Aerowood was courteous, attentive, compassionate, and friendly. They handled the little kitten with care and explained the injury and my options to care for the cat in detail. I opted to take our kitten home and received follow up calls from the nurses and a doctor on two separate occasions the following week. I felt like they truly were concerned for our pet. I would suggest trusting your pet to the gentle care of Aerowood.
