Took our dog for the $10 Toenail trim, it included a free exam with it. The exam confirmed some things that we knew and offered other options for him that he didnt need. We were sent a full run down, askin One of our dogs toenails "was cut too close to the quick". Something to stop the blood was put on it and we were told that it would be fine. Max sometimes limps because of early onset of arthritis we didnt think much in the next few days when he started to limp. Well within ten days of having his toenails cut, he couldnt jump, wasnt eating or sleeping. and was in obvious pain. I brought him back down to the Critter doctor. His toenail was broken and infected, causing the pain. I explained and it was documented in his chart, about the toenail trim and the cut down to the quick. I inquired if possibly I wouldnt have to pay for this exam, because of it. The regular doctor wasnt there, as it was a Saturday and I was told she would call me on Monday after reviewing the chart. Our dog was given antibioctics and pain medicine. She did call me back several days later asking how Max was and to tell me that the toenail cut wasnt related to the broken nail. So a $10 dollar toenail trim actually cost us about $110 after the exam and meds. Our dogs hip now clicks when he walks and has ever since he had to be held down to have his broken nail treated. We will pay a bit more (for a toenail exam that is) at My Pets Vet where we have always had wonderful treatment and they dont offer us expensive treatment are dog doesnt need. I gave it two stars because the front desk staff both visits were very sweet and knowledgeable as was the Saturday doctor. The main doctor was rude and spoke down to us and did two of the clinic assistants.

Took my new kitty into this vet for standard vaccination and blood draw that they finangled out of me just to make money - scaring me into believing that I needed to test him for FIV when there was no reason to - he was completely healthy. They attempted to do a blood draw, with me waiting in the waiting area. I heard a baby shreiking, then realized it was my cat!! I ran into the surgery area and they had mr cat in some ugly looking hold while they attempted to get some blood out of the leg. After a quick discussion, I realized I didnt want the cat to suffer more. I told them to just give me the cat - I had had enough. They refused. I argued. They shoved me out of the door and then threw the cat at me. (can you believe this? It sounds like something out of a fiction novel but this is what happened.) I called the police, and they came. I declined, once they apologized, to file a charge of assault so as not to waste the polices time. I suffer from a disease which means that small assaults are very painful physically and can put me in the ER. They had no right to treat me like that, and obviously had no respect for the cat, regardless the owner. And thats why they call the pets "Critters" - this is not irony, people. Dont go here.

After reading some of the reviews, I was hesitant to bring my injured dog to Critter Doctor....but surprisingly enough, they are the best clinic/Dr. Ive been to in the area! The front desk and Vet Tech were all so friendly and warm with my daughter and I, and very animated and loving with our dog. Dr. Bernstein was simply WONDERFUL! She is warm, caring, very informative, incredibly friendly with us and presented us with pricing before she did anything. We had to leave our dog for a few hours and when we returned, her staff kept us posted on how much longer shed be without us having to ask (we had been sitting for a while). She also needed a few days to review xray results and called us exactly when she said she would. She was genuinely concerned about our pet and even said shed follow up in another week. She also took care of a skin condition my dog has that no other Vet offered very many remedies for....my dog already looks and feels better. Thank you Dr. Bernstein and Staff ****************!!!!!!!!!!

Rude and costly. Now when I say rude I am only referring to doctor Bernstien, who is the owner, so if you have any issues or questions you have to deal with her. When I took my injured dog there they started off very friendly, but after the two doctors miscommunicated with me and between each other they were very standoffish and defensive to all of my questions and concerns regarding the care and cost of visits. The doctor even had the nerve to call me an irresponsible dog owner on the phone (because my dogs appointment was a few days later than she wanted it to be). Now I believe that most of her rude behavior towards me was due to the fact that I'm in my early twenties and she didn't have respect for me. My parents brougtht their pets there in the past and had similar issues with the vets attempts at getting unnecessary and costly things. So save time and money and avoid the frustration of dealing with the Critter Doctor.

When a large lump suddenly appeared on my dogs hind leg, I took her to a vet in Redmond. The lump was aspirated, and the results showed spindle cell tumor. They gave me a quote for removal. It was expensive. My husband suggested we get another quote, we were definitely going to do the surgery - we love our dog. Went to Critter Doctor for a quote, and ended up having the surgery there. I couldnt be happier. Quote was 30% lower. Great. But this is what will keep us coming back: the surgery was unbelievably excellent. The doctor, Bernstein, was able to remove lump without going into the leg muscle. Our dogs recovery was phenomenally quick. And the incision was beautiful and healed in such a way that it doesnt show -- at all. Ive been to worse dermatologists. Bottom line: If you need a reliable surgeon, this is the place to go.

Such a kind, friendly, understanding, patient, respectful, and thorough veterinary practice. Very happy I took my cat here! Was referred to this place by a friend for a second opinion and learned they could do a dental procedure cheaper than the other vet I tried (though, of course, your mileage may vary). I was then impressed by their thorough understanding and explanation of my cats problem during his examination. Plus, it was just right down the street from me, which helped quite a bit since my cat doesnt like car rides. Great place, would highly recommend! Quite puzzled by the low reviewers since none of the people I interacted with there seemed rude or disrespectful at all, and my cost estimate was fairly accurate and detailed. Ill definitely keep going to this place for pet needs :)

As ever, an excellent experience! I would always recommend Critter Doctor Animal Hospital to everyone, who are animal lovers and who values good local service given by caring and compassionate people. Critter Doctor Animal Hospital offered flexible schedule, which allowed us to get an appointment right away because of our dog critical condition. All services provided for my dog -including blood work and X-Rays, were appropriate for what my 4-leg friend needed immediately and the cost was fair. Critter Doctor Animal Hospital never ceases to amaze me! Eugenia Vinyar, Kirkland, WA
