Dr. Fuxa and her staff are amazing! Everytime I go in there or even make a call to them they are so helpful. The woman at the front desk, I think her name is Kim, is super nice and very accommodating. I took my 13 year old german shepherd/ greyhound mix in when she started developing lumps on her stomach. Dr. Fuxa and the helping vet tech were amazing with her even after she released the entirety of her bladder and was extremely difficult to restrain while trying to take a sample from the lumps. They stayed calm, gentle and assured both my dog and myself that we were ok. The bill was minuscule compaired to what ive paid at other vets just for a checkup and vaccs! A few months later I took my dog back in because she was having issues walking and I noticed her back right leg was losing a lot of muscle mass. Fuxa and her staff got me in quickly, made the appointment as quick as possible knowing my dogs reputation at the vet, and made sure she was healthy enough for the medications she was going to provide. We were able to set up an xray appointment and we are currently working on a diagnosis. I truly see that Fuxa, and her whole staff at Highlands bird and pet, love what they do and honestly care about their clients health. I now live in Puyallup and I will continue to see Dr. Fuxa regardless of the distance, shes the only vet I trust in the surrounding areas.

We used to live within a few blocks of Highlands Bird and Pet Clinic. We have 3 cats and Dr. Fuxa and her staff provided them with exceptional care. We moved 10 miles away and took our cats to 2 different veterinary clinics. Our experience with the other vets were average at best. We recently adopted another kitten and Dr. Fuxa was our only choice to perform the procedure to have him neutered. The staff are so loving and nurturing to all pets. We will gladly drive the additional 10 miles and past numerous veterinary clinics for our pets to receive the loving and trusted care with Dr. Fuxa. I wish I could give her 6 stars.

We took Rhonda, our Indian Runner duck in for bumblefoot. They were absolutely great. Rhonda got some antibiotics - and is doing swimmingly well. We also took our sweet lovebird to see her when he developed cancer. They were very caring and helpful. He was in poor shape. She helped him regain strength and we had another 3 weeks cuddling with him. And now, Rebecca, Rhondas sister, has a bum foot. We are going to see Dr. Fuxa this afternoon so Becca duck will feel better too. Shes the only one we trust for our feathered kids.

I will happily drive from Tacoma to Renton to take Rupert here for veterinary care. The staff are friendly and helpful and you can tell that they truly care about their work, although it pains me to see that they offer declawing services as that is such an atrocity. Its even illegal in some countries.

Dr. Fuxa has taken care of my cats for years. Now down to 1 senior cat who receives excellent treatment there. I always board her when I have to travel and they take excellent care of her. Staff is great. Recommend to any who asks my who takes care of my cat.

The best Vet in Western Washington. Ive been going to Dr. Fuxa for over 20 years and wouldnt think of taking my animals any where else. She us the Tops. Her Staff is Wonderful also.
