Never had a good experience at this hospital. Starting with the snotty and rude spiky haired receptionist (Josey M.) who cant answer a question without a condescending tone, to the ill informed and rude nurses. Not all of them are this hard to deal with, but the ones that are sure leave a bad first impression. I have had to take different members of my family to this hospital, and then beg them to move them to a different hospital because their lives were in danger. My daughter was in this hospital for a week being treated for a respiratory virus when she actually had a ruptured appendix. Nurses called her a baby, messed up her IVs, and made her feel bad for being sick. She had emergency surgery when she became septic and the radiologist said she had blockage in her colon that was causing it. The surgeon, Dr. Tagge is the one that saved my daughters life, not the hospital! Is being right and standing up for your doctors and nurses worth the health of a patient, at this hospital it is. You are treated like an intruder asking about your own childrens health and test results, and always put off. Dont go here, they are expensive, ill equipped, and not here for the patient, but the money. I pray to God that I dont have an emergency that would require a transport to Brewster hospital!

My husband and his mother and grandmother have been treated here over the last two years, and they all had good experiences. Its a small community hospital where you can get personal attention and great care. Physicians staff the ER now. Dr. Cashion has been a huge help in healing my husbands leg infection, and another doctor went out of his way to get a cup of coffee for my grandmother when she was brought in with low blood sugar. The nurses have great humor and care about making patients comfortable. Ive had an ultrasound there, and the technologist is discreet and kind. When there was a typo in the exam results done by an outside company, the Quality director was immediately responsive in addressing my concern and spoke with the company in question. I would recommend this hospital to anyone.

I went to the ER at this hospital in the middle of the night. The PA I saw was rude and mean to me even before I started talking to him. He was mad because we woke him up. I feel sorry for the folks in the community who have to depend on someone like this in a crisis.
