I found a very sweet dog wandering outside in the rain with a limp. Not knowing what to do with the dog I called South Whidbey Animal Clinic and they said to bring him in to see if he was chipped. So I did, and I also assumed that would be the extent of it and then it would be on me to either locate the owners or turn the dog over to the shelter. Contrary to what I thought, the staff immediately took the dog and loved on him as if he were their own. They went beyond that and kept him at the clinic to get lots of love and attention while we all hoped someone would come looking for him. During his time there Dr. Patrin went out of him way to examine the dogs injury, the overall health and took incredible care of him, knowing little about the dog and the dog not being his patient. Their help and support really made me feel like a community effort was put forward and I was not alone in helping this dog be reunited with its owner. The dog was reunited with his owners, thanks to the vet staff knowing all about this sweet dog, they were able to put the owner in touch with me when he called in looking for them. I am still just so impressed and thankful for the generosity and help of the South Whidbey Animal Clinic.

I have many pets and have been visiting this clinic for a year and a half and have had nothing but good experiences. A couple of times Ive gone in and received what I felt were honest evaluations like "go home and keep an eye on it" or "not sure whats wrong, keep an eye on it". I respect these answers and am thankful not to have my animals overtreated, or to be nickled and dimed for mysterious ailments that got better with time. I have also had surgeries and injuries treated at this clinic and everything has gone very well.

Dr. Patrin has been a great caregiver to our three dogs. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they always treat the "boys" as if they are part of the extended family. One of our little guys can be cranky and combative (it is the Vet after all), yet they are patient with him and have gradually won him over. You can generally tell if an office is pet friendly or not. This place has a great vibe, and you can tell their culture is focused on the care of your pet.

Dr. Patrin was wonderfully thorough and compassionate. We were visiting Whidbey and had to take our dog in for what ended up being emergency surgery. We are strongly considering driving to Whidbey from Tacoma from now on for vet care. It was that good. And the fair pricing was a bonus.

Twice I brought my dog to this clinic, and twice they sent him home to die. He is alive and well, thanks to a different Doctor. If your animal needs anything other than an injection or a bandaid, take it somewhere else.

Just moved here from Louisiana, they were great with all my dogs. Explained in great detail every vaccination,why and why not of needed. He just made us feel very comfortable.
