I agree with the negative reviews about increased rates and lack of interest(or breed specific knowledge) to individualize care of my puppy: I had used this clinic for 7 years until my dogs died. When I got a new puppy this year, I also was sucked into the Puppy package. which allowed for a number of exams and other tests: they had me coming every 3 weeks for no good reason to get all the exams in before the 6month expiration time, which wasnt identified at time of purchase at the cost of $500. To get a discount on another purchase for neutering I would have to neuter the animal before the 6month deadline which is totally ignorant, and tough luck if I wanted to wait a couple months for the growth spurt to finish. Also the vet, seemed to have control issues; she always knows better that the customer. She was negative and blamed me for the underweight puppy which I had purchased that week but she had no idea how much the puppy should grow every month for its breed, what weight goal to aim for, what to feed- "oh just give some canned food to make your dog eat more." She also was angry that I started heartworm med bought without a prescription on the internet even though it was Program brand. I had been buying Program flea pills for years that way. Dr Kennard though pleasant, was vague and patronizing. Fortunately, with some good Internet resources we found out that our breed puppy would be @ 80% of his final weight by the 8th month. We have been monitoring his weight weekly and he has stayed perfectly on that rate and now at the 8th month is expected to reach the normal range of 60-80 lbs for this breed on a high protein grain free diet with a can of tuna fish daily the past 5 months, plus muscle building exercise. It would have been nice to have a professional that knew how to point us in the right direction.

Our experience has been up and down. Their scheduling is nice and open since they have four vets, and every time we see a vet they seem knowledgeable and helpful. However, the office staff and vet techs have been less than desirable. One of them relayed our dogs phenobarbital by the wrong name and blamed my husband when he corrected them. They are not quick in quoting pricing over the phone and the last time I was in for just a routine vaccine (they had quoted $20.00 only, a quick in and out appointment), they tacked on an exam fee ($40.00) to triple the price I had expected. I think our dog has had 6 "exams" in the past year! I think they give a high quality of care but are not concerned with budget. We have felt nickeled and dimed on other things as well. They are also not super helpful in explaining what medical terms mean. They think they are, but in my experience they are not good at listening and responding to the customers questions or concerns. We are changing vets asap.

Awful clinic, they seem nice and caring but when your dog becomes a dog and is no longer a puppy their attitudes are totally different. It really seems to me that once your puppy has gone through all the shots (where they make the most money) they turn completely RUDE!!!! I bought the puppy package which was supposed to cover my golden for the first year of his life, well at 6 months they changed it. They gave me a piece of paper not stating how long the package should last and said this is what I signed, however there was no signature. It also said I would get a bunch of free stuff like a large bag of puppy food and some toys and treats. I never received them but since it was 6 months ago I could no longer claim them. This was not the package that I had signed up for. Also whenever I call they are nice until they have my dog then they get mean. I will NEVER go here again!!!! I am switching clinics immediately!

Ive been using this veterinarian for over ten years and have been satisfied with my experiences. Dr. Clark is great with my dogs, and Dr. Kennard ably removed my older dogs mast cell tumor last year. They take the time to answer questions and concerns regarding the health of your pet. They are reasonable in their expectations of pet owners and pricing, with solutions and offerings when financial constraints are a factor. Also, they dont stigmatize you regarding your choices. For example, when Dr. Clark diagnosed my dog with cancer, I opted for tumor removal but no chemotherapy. I got no feelings of judgment from them for my choice. I havent interacted much with Dr. Decker, but I generally prefer to see Dr. Clark. Although Dr. Kennard is brilliant.

I have been bringing my now 7 month puppy to them since she was 6 weeks old. Everyone there is kind and smart and willing to take the time to explain what is going on, answer questions and address concerns. Right now my girl is in there recovering from her spay surgery and Dr. Kennard has been just awesome with my dogs care. The techs are all kind and the front desk staff is pretty awesome as well. I will keep using them as long as I need a vet. Yes it can be costly, but good vet care IS costly. Pet insurance is good to have when you have a pet, it can help with the cost. We got the puppy package and it has covered well visits and her shots. It is worth the cost for me, because it means my girl has the best possible care out there.

Were staying at the Fairview RV Park with our 3 cats. They required they get a rabies vaccine. Being from the Vancouver area I had no idea where to take them, so when I asked at the office they recommended VCA 12-Mile and Im so glad they did. They were so nice and helpful from the minute we walked in. Mary Clark ,VMD did a very thorough exam before giving the shot. She talked to us the whole time about what she was doing, and what she recommended. When we were done we were given a cat carrier and a bag with a cat book and a toy that the cats play with daily! We will definitely be back and will recommend VCA 12-Mile to my friends and co-workers.

Up until recently, we took our dog and cats here and had an excellent experience. Qualified, caring vets and staff. Our dog was boarded here several times and always came back happy. The reason that I stopped going to them is that their prices are a bit higher than I could handle on the budget. You do get what you pay for, however. If your pet is sick and needs intensive care, I would definitely recommended this place. They are very thorough in their evaluations and testing and check in with you afterward to make sure everything is going well. For routine checks and shots, you can probably get better prices elsewhere.

Horrible NON-doctor!! I would never recommend anyone go there. He was so rude and arrogant he couldnt introduce himself and only pointed at his shirt with name on it! He wanted to pull 3 teeth without even getting an x-ray. Never return and never ever recommend anyone go there! The "Non-DON DOCTOR" IS NOT A DOCTOR WORTH PAYING THERe needs to be a SERVICE FOR ANIMALS with doctors who are qualified with care not idiots wearing white coats!!! No wonder the world is suffering because the people who offer services suck at it!!!
