Last year my wife had digestion issues. She was diagnosed as having a bad gallbladder and she had it removed at St. Elizabeth. A few months after the Gallbladder issue she then had a hernia which was repaired also at St. Elizabeth. She never really healed correctly after the hernia repair, she had a buldge just above her stomach which she pointed out to her doctors there, they all said it was normal after that operation. My wife disagreed because something just wasnt right because she was also in alot of pain in her stomach area. Last week she was at home and her pain got so bad she called an ambulance and they took her to the ER in Enumclaw because we live so close. She was there for approx 4 hrs or so and they said they "thought" she had a stomach flu virus of some kind despite the huge buldge in her lower abdomen and sent her home. No CT scans, No ultrasound etc. The next day her stomach pains were WAY worse and we drove her to Valley Medical center ER in Renton. In about 30 minutes, she was diagnosed as having a "strangulating hernia" which required emergency surgery. She had to have 3 feet of her intestine removed due to it being strangled by the hernia and then have the hernia repaired. She was about 1 hour away from dying. The Doc at Valley med center could not believe Enumclaw didnt do any type of imaging to see what the real problem was. Bottom line, Enumclaw always had a rotten reputation with the old hospital, us Enumclaw residence hoped that the brand new hospital would be an improvement and that we wouldnt have to drive the 30 miles for quality medical care but sadly that isnt the case. Do yourself or loved one a favor and go to Valley or even Auburn. These people dont know what the hell they are doing. On the bright side, they do have a really good cafeteria and Ive heard they do catering. Maybe they should dump the medical services and just do food full time.

I went in to the ER on a Sunday night with abdominal pain. The ER doctor spotted right away that I was severely anemic and after testing me they admitted me right away to have a transfusion and later I had my gallbladder removed and another procedure to fix an internal bleeding issue. While I was in the hospital I suffered from ongoing migraines that had me sobbing and vomiting. Let me just say that every single person who stepped into my room showed an abundance of care and compassion which I had never experienced in a medical facility before. They were continually trying to minimize my pain, they were always prompt or early and most of the staff, from housekeeping to surgical, did way more than I expected and this was my 7th surgical experience. What people have to realize is Enumclaw is a tiny town with a tiny hospital and if a bunch of people get sick, need surgery or whatnot all at once, they MUST prioritize in order to accommodate the most ill patients. My first visit to this hospital was for Bronchitis. I had a 3 hour wait in the ER but that was due to coming in right after a child with a broken arm, a woman with stroke symptoms and a car accident amongst others. I cant possibly list all of the wonderful ways these people helped me and I am just glad to know they are there if I need them.

Dont know what is up with all these negative reviews, this place is top notch. So I have several stories to share. My mom went in recently for a routine colonoscopy and it was a wonderful experice, the nurses and doctors were all very polite and kind. Got us in quickly and were very clear with directions. Procedure was fast and painless for my mom and they were very helpful in wheeling her out to the car. This place also has the best cafeteria ive ever seen, so many choices and reasonable prices. Everything was also delicious. My dad also had to go in recently to urgent care because he was having heart problems. He said the doctor was very attentive and caring and he was glad he went. They were really quick, and thorough and polite, he was being looked at within minutes. Turns out he had nothing super serious and he just has to start taking somthing for blood pressure. We have also been in here before when my sister had an accident, same sort of experience. Urgent care, quick, thorough, polite and kind. I myself had to go here for an MRI, my first real sort of serious medical thing, and they were so kind. Wonderful nurses and techs. It was all really quick and easy. All in all this place is great, I would absolutely recommend it to anyone.

Yeah this is strike three for us. I really used to love this hospital. I dont know what happened. I dont know If there was a change in staff but the attitude of the staff is incredibly poor. Fiona.. You have a terrible attitude, and while you yelled at my boyfriend with concerns about hippa violations, it was already violated. I have the mans information and reported it to corporate. The man with the gun shot wound. My advice to you is if you dont like health care then dont be in it. We dont need another poor minded nurse in this field. You make us look bad. Oh and BTW our hippa was violated when registration walked straight up to me while patients are two chairs down, verifying our information. THATS A HIPPA VIOLATION!!!. Time for retraining!!! Fix your nasty attitude. St. Elizabeth hospital, your mission is to protect your patients, provide the best care possible and show professionalism in this field. Look through your staff and go through whatever training needs to be done so this doesnt continue!!!!

If I could give a 0 star rating I would. I have been to this hospital a few times. Because of terrible experiences in the ER, most recent neglect with my sons broken leg was do to them being understaffed to try and save a dime, I now avoid going to the ER at all costs. Though I thought that they couldnt possibly be that bad in other areas. I was wrong. I had an appt at their diagnostic imaging center and the care from the tech was awful and in poor taste. Both my husband and I were treated as if we had no real reason to be there. When our concern was validated and actually had evidence behind it she seemed annoyed. Then when our concern for being there was found by her she seemed even more aggitated that we were right. She was strcpy there to clock in and out. Poor bedside manner and poor taste all around will have us spreading the word with how horrible this hospital is as well as no longer going there. I would not recommend anyone going there even if you were bleeding out.

We went in for my sons broken arm (from snowboarding). Super-friendly nurse and jovial doctor were very respectful to both my 13-year-old daredevil and me, his mom. GREAT sense of humor and just the right amount of concern expressed (they made sure he wasnt in too much paid, but werent paternalistic about it). Medical advice was spot on. We were in and out in 2 hours, including the registration process, X-rays, diagnosis and evaluation (he had tailbone pain, too, which they looked into). Ive been in and out of emergency rooms for the past 11 years with my kids, and this is by far the fastest, BEST experience EVER, with a helpful and friendly staff moving things along. We had so much fun joking around with the nurse my son almost wanted to stay, but his pain won out and home we went. Thanks for a terrific experience, competent medical advice, and expediency! We hope we wont need to see yall again, but if we do, were glad youre there.
