I wish that there was a no star rating option, because giving this establishment one star is far too generous. My mother is a patient at Ampla Health and I just picked her up from an appointment, and I could not be more livid. Mary Nwabunor is her primary Nurse practitioner there and she has had a fairly adequate experience, until today. My mother has physical ailments, as well as PTSD and is in the process of trying to figure out what is physically wrong with her. Last week she had an MRI/Brain scan, and was supposed to receive results today at her visit, which turned into a visit from hell. Ampla had over booked Mary, so she was sent to another nurse practitioner, who we are almost positive is named "Jo." She has shoulder length dark brown hair and glasses, aged between 45-60. I have NO IDEA, how this women has a job of any kind, especially ANYTHING within the field of humanitarianism. She was immediately aggressive with my mother, proceeded to yell at her and tell her she does not "like to see patients that arent her patients," and then continued to tell her that she seemed "too upset" and continued to scream at my mother, and SHAME her in the hallway in front of other patients. My mother was then told her that she needed to be admitted to the psych ward for crying and shaking. They gave her no results and made her feel like a bad person for even showing up to try to get the results because they were not in yet. This lady "Jo" continued to yell, and be so inappropriate, that her nurses assistant was shaking, and the Supervisor had to take my mom into her office and apologize for "Jos" behavior, and also mentioned that things like this happened regularly with her. I am appalled that a women who treats her patients, especially those with mental health issues, like this, has held a job and hasnt been fired yet. I can not imagine what it must be like for other patients who have no support system and have similar or worse mental health/physical ailments than my mother, to deal with this type of shaming and aggression. This nurse practitioners behavior is exactly the kind of behavior that leads mentally unstable humans to hurt themselves. I hope that this women loses her job and pays for her wrong doings. This woman should be absolutely ashamed of herself, as should the establishment for hiring such a piece of human garbage.

Ive been to the Oroville, Chico, Orland location. All were horrific experiences. I had to wait 2 months to see a dermatologist about my bulging varicose veins and skin rash. Waited 3 hours for my appointment with the dermatologist with 2 kids and pregnant. It was so awful. I really was hoping for help. The guy misdiagnosed my skin rash and gave me a steroid cream that I later found out is worse for my rash and makes it worse. It made it 10 xs worse than it was. The guy didnt even look or care about my painful varicose vein. Im afraid it could rupture or cause a blood clot. The guy says its cosmetic and nothing he can do with my insurance. It goes all the way from vaginal area down to my ankle on right leg. Can not stand longer than 30 minutes, but I have to on a daily basis. Went to orland twice. Made an appointment 2 times. I saw Don Cleland and he was nice. Got blood work done, but they wouldnt send me my prescription for my thyroid. Then I called and they said we cannot do this over the phone. You have to make an appointment. I told the nurse I wanted the name brand and they gave me generic. Not happy. My obgyn had to get my blood work done and she wrote me a prescription. I went again a week ago to a new nurse. Her name is DIANA FRANCO, I googled her online and her medical license had expired last year. I came in with a list to test all thyroid related problems and to see where I was at. This was the worst appointment ever. She was arguing with me the whole time and told me my medical problems were all psychological and I didnt have thyroid problems and needed therapy. So what she pretty much said was im nuts and have anxiety. Then she opens the door and starts walking out. I wasnt even done trying to describe why I was there and needed help. I had gone in early enough to get blood work done, but because they are so slow seeing people couldnt have blood work. I was fasting and it was 3 by the time I got out of there, and my appointment was at 1. Quest closes at 2:30. They didnt have any other earlier times when I made my appointment 3 weeks earlier. I still need my blood work done from Quest, but dont want to go back to that nazi. She was one of the worst doctors/ nurses Ive seen in my life. How is anyone supposed to get help with thyroid problems youve had for 15 plus years.

I love my Dr. Vagic, dont care as much for the clinic or the receptionists, i actually talked to a very helpful receptionist the other day and i dont recognize her non accented voice. I dont like the refill prescription method they have there at all. Sometimes it isnt a patients fault that the doctor forgets a non-narcotic prescription such as blood pressure meds yet when you call up its like a robot or a machine just turns on and tells you that you need to come in a walk in. What a joke. Walk in, more like bring a sleeping bag because you will be camping out all day . why they cant make an exception for non narcotic medication when you went in to see your doctor within a day is beyond me. Dr Vagic has been wonderful. She is always smiling and concerned for my needs, and not trying to give me medications that can harm me like Dr Vaclavich, he had me in seizures and i lost my job after blacking out driving because he said he didnt have time to read my history . he was the worst, but wait his twin is here now the other killing doctor giving my friend pills that would choke a horse. Clonzapam is a horrible drug that is passed out freely. And after my friend was weaned off the drug, Dr Rocklin put him back on only to be detoxed once again at Enloe. So many things are wrong in the way this place is run in the front office. And in the back Dr Rocklin says to get a specialist that a referral should of gone through by now, but oh, yeah, yet another slip of the nurse that needs to order it. Now Dr Her has an order in for referral. Hope her nurse is more efficient. It gets tiring waiting to connect to get bp meds or speak with a doctor. It is 2 hours or more for a wait in and i cant do that . but again Dr Vagic is great. She is so nice and always helpful . I have no patience for others that work there most if the time. The office that keeps making you fill out the Papers every year and they kept giving them for me to fill out three times and the third time i told them to find the last two i gave already filled out and file the papers. I refused to fill out the third time and Dr Vagic backed me up..i cant be happier with her.
