I recently moved to the area and contacted Beaver Lake Animal Hospital on a Friday morning concerned that my cat Spooky was having urinary tract issues (he is prone to urinary issues and is even on a special percription diet). The office staff were pleasant listened to my concerns and I was able to get a same day appointment. My previous vets office had many clients and several vets on staff. My cats and I were shuffled in and out without ever consistently seeing the same vet. My experience at Beaver Lake Animal Hospital was very different. Upon walking in the office I was surprised at how small it was and the fact that spooky was the only patient in the waiting area. Spooky received individual attention and the vet who was filling for in for Dr. Bennett (who injured her arm) was very knowledgeable and caring. Spooky needed to stay for the afternoon in order for the Vet to get a urine sample. Unfortunately the vet was unable to get a urine sample so I went home for the weekend and kept an eye on both my cats since I wasnt actually sure which one of them was peeing outside the litter box. Over the weekend I received a voice message from Dr. Bennett who reviewed the notes/charges for my cats visit and realized I was overcharged for one of the services. It was nice to know even in her absence she was still over seeing everything at the hospital. Early Monday morning I witnessed my cat Duey who I didn’t bring in peeing outside the litter box. I contact the hospital back and was able to bring both cats in that morning. The vet was able to get urinary samples from both and analyze them while I was waiting. We discovered there was no medical reason for either cat to be peeing outside the box, it was a behavioral issue. The Vet went thru several things I could do to help with the problem and also recommend some products that would help. I followed the vets suggestions and Duey is now happy and peeing in the litter box!!! I feel my cats will now receive the personalized attention they deserve. Prices here were comparable to my previous vet. I like that my cats will always see the same vet. I wont have to explain their history to a new vet who doesn’t remember them each time they have a checkup.

I should have read the earlier review BEFORE I went to this vet. Staff was wonderful BUT was quoted a price for a service and was charged more than double the cost. When I discussed it with them and how I was quoted a much lower price, the vet concurred that I was probably told that by a new staff person but it was the wrong price and I still was required to pay full price. She would not work with me one bit even if it meant I would take my business elsewhere. I am going back to a vet whom I can count on to have quality service for animals and people alike and follow through on what they quote up front. And I totally agree...expensive and over-priced!!! Go somewhere else please!

We love Dr Bennett. She is the primary vet for both of our pointers, Ada & Maggie-Mae. Dr Bennetts professional, honest, helpful, reliable, and her service is top notch. Both the Dr and staff have been very good to us.
