Ive taken my son here about 4 times and after the last time I promised him that I would never take him there again. The dentist himself has always been impatient and rushed. Not what you want with a weary young child. But the dental assistant we had before was really good with my son and put him at ease and the short time he spent with the actual dentist didnt seem like a big deal. But this last time he had a different dental assistant that was just as rude and impatient as the dentist himself. They both rushed in, didnt explain anything to us but pushed my son down into his lap and held him down while he screamed and cried. If I wasnt so shocked I would have told them to stop and taken my son out of there. He had nightmares for months and during the day he would randomly start crying and saying he didnt want to go to the dentist again. I wrote an email explaining that we wouldnt be returning and asking for a referral to another pediatric dentist that we need a referral for because of insurance purposes. They never responded. I eventually called them and they said they refuse to give a referral for another pediatric dentist.

I couldnt be happier with this office!!! My daughter had extensive work that needed to be done and we were looking for a new office. We felt like family the second we walked in the door. The staff was amazing and took really good care of my anxious 4 year old. They were able to get xrays that other offices werent able to. The doctor went over her treatment plan and recommended sedation. I trusted and respected the doctors recommendation and Im glad I did. It truly was the best option for my daughter. I am so impressed with the quality of work she received. She has an enamel deficiency and her front teeth have never looked right. I almost cried when I first saw her! Her front teeth are beautiful and my heart and mind are at ease knowing she wont be teased in school. I felt the doctor treated my daughter like his own and I cant imagine taking her anywhere else!

Awesome staff, very informative of the care my child needed. Takes state insurance which is incredibly hard to find these days. Treated my two yo with respect and dignity. Lost a star due to underwhelming waiting room. Looked like someone shopped at goodwill for the toys. I will certainly go back. Edit- 08/2017 Waiting room has been updated with age appropriate toys, a beautiful play area, and nice chairs with a large television. Updated to 5 stars. Usually able to get my child in right away. Friendly staff, that actually like children. All you hear is giggles and laughter-not crying, no unhappy kids. The "reward " system for the kids is super cheesy. They get a coin, and get to place it in a candy type dispenser, which gives them little figurines or tattooes. All in all, a great place to take your kids. Staff is kind, friendly, and warm.

I take my child in to get his teeth cleaned, and the dental assistant comes out and says my child needs a filling, but i have to sign a form for the work to be done. I say "Oh no, where" and she taps her right cheek, so I sign and ask if it can be done today. She says oh sure itll take about 5 minutes. When my kid comes out I I ask him about the filling and how it went only to find out there was NEVER a cavity or filling to begin with. They gave him an intense fluoride treatment which I didnt want him to have to begin with. Now my child had recieved unwanted fluoride, and Im stuck with an unwanted bill. My advice is to TAKE YOUR CHILD ELSWHERE, where you will actually get honest dental care!

The assistant helping us, Rosie, I believe their name was, was excellent and helped my somewhat nervous daughter get settled and calm, she was very bright and happy and made my child feel special and comfortable. My child is 4 years old, and I would recommend this office to everyone. The staff is super friendly, and helped me figure out paper work, and the actual dentist, was very nice and efficient. They dont waste time at all. Very happy with the services and advice provided. Very clean facility as well. They also give tokens, for small toys which is pretty cool. My daughter was thrilled and said she cant wait to go back (if only adult dentistry was as much fun lol).

We had another great experience at smiles for kids. The dental assistant, Rosalie, was friendly and super helpful. The dentist, Dr. Hay did amazing work. my child felt completely comfortable when he is usually really nervous and the dentist. Everything was explained well to us. His procedure went great and was over in no time. The staff really connected with my child. They ask him questions about his school and leisure activities. We arrived a little early and were seen before our appoint time. Couldnt imagine a better team to care for my child.

Have been with the office for many years. Every time we have been the staff has been amazing. Trina and Rosie are very friendly and let your kiddos know what they are doing before they do it. Dr. Hay is amazing as well. He his very knowledgeable and explains things well. The office is very clean and professional looking but also has enough fun things for kids to do while they wait. The thing that also makes it fun for kids is they have tvs above every chair to keep your kiddos occupied while they have cleanings or get work done.

I have a child with special needs, and the dentist has traditionally been a nightmare for us. When we went to Smiles 4 Kids, that all changed! The care and patience the staff and providers used with my child eased the stress for all of us. They ended up having to do an intense procedure that would need her to be sedated, and that amazingly went better than I could ever have dreamed! This is the IDEAL place for children, and for any kids with fears or special needs, there is no other place within 100 miles that compares.

My kids used to go to a different dentist office before finding smile for kids. My youngest daughter hated going to the dentist she would cry every time she had to go but coming here and seeing that its kid friendly with all the airplanes and the TVs on the ceilings and the extremely friendly staff she loves to go now. Shell even go in the back without me . And they work well with my schedule and my oldest daughters orthodontist schedule this place truly is amazing and I love the text reminders TY S4K

My son had a tooth that needed capped but when we went on for appt we noticed it was beginning to become infected. They put him on antibiotics & the Dr. squeezed him into his booked schedule. We arrived the following week(today) & he was literally given the meds, & had 1 tooth pulled, 1 filled & the rest sealed within 10-15 minutes. The assistant & Dr. (Cant remember his name) were absolutely AMAZING & definitely a million times better than Harbor Kids Dental!!!

Dominique, Rosalie, and Dr Todd were absolutely AMAZING! Dentist after Dentist I struggled with trying to get my stubborn child to get her teeth cleaned. I wasted so many appointments because my child was too scared. But not with this group of wonderful people! My daughter latched right onto Dominique and felt so comfortable and was eased with her nervousness. Finally her teeth are clean!
