At the beginning of April I went in for my annual eye exam. . The eye doctor explained to me that because I wear bifocals and have a stigmatism that it might take a couple fittings to get the right pair of contacts. I was fine with that. My first trial pair arrived and I went to pick them up. Being new at wearing contacts I asked the woman what I was supposed to do. She was surprised that I didn’t know and said she couldn’t give them to me and I had to come back and get trained by another employee on how to put the contacts in, care, etc. It was frustrating to me that this wasn’t set up for me when I came in to get the contacts in the first place. When I came back in for my lesson I was given one left trial contact and two right trial contacts. Larry, the office manager, explained that Dr. Lee wanted me to try one right one for a few days and the other right one for a few more days, then check back in with the doctor. When I went back in for my appointment the doctor said “okay we gave you two left contacts and one right contact”. I told her that I had been given one left contact and two right contacts. She insisted it was the other way around and since I was saying I was given two right contacts that she had no idea what I was wearing. She examined my eyes again and determined the prescription for the next set of trial contacts. I went home and verified that indeed I was given two right contacts and one left contact. I waited for over two weeks for the next trial pair. The second pair of contacts fitting was uneventful except for the fact that they weren’t quite right yet, so we did another order which I waited for over two weeks again to get. Again the third pair of trials weren’t exactly working for me and I was getting a little frustrated. I decided since I had three different pairs of trial contacts that I would mix and match them to see if I could come up with something that worked better for me, and I did. I went back to the doctor and told her the right contact from the first set and the left contact from the third set were working pretty good and I’d settle for that prescription. She ordered the contacts for me and I paid for a 6 month order. Again, I waited two weeks for the contacts. When I went to pick up the contacts I was surprised when Larry handed me what looked to be another trial set. I asked him where the order was and he didn’t seem to know that I was expecting a regular contacts order. He looked around and couldn’t find the whole set. He said he’d check into it and I took the trial pair home to wear. I got a call a short time later that the contacts were on back order and wouldn’t be available until July 31st. I don’t know why this wasn’t told to him in the first place, but either way I had to wait again for my contacts. I got a call on August 1st that my contact order was finally in. A few hours later Larry left me a voice mail informing me that the left contact prescription was incorrect and he’d have to send them back, but hoped that they’d be able to overnight them and would have them on Saturday or Monday. I called on Monday and spoke with a woman who couldn’t find any information and said she’d ask Larry. She called me back to let me know that “Larry didn’t know where we were on this” and she’d call “them” in the morning to find out the status. The next day I didn’t receive a call and returned the woman’s call in the afternoon. She said she hadn’t had time to see what the status was. She then called me back about an hour later to tell me that it would be another week and a half or so before I got my contacts. At that point I just asked to cancel the order and asked for a refund of my money.

I needed an appointment quick - used CostCo in the past but they were booked out for a week; this practice was not booked out very far and even had some Saturday hours.. so I like shopping the Sears and decided to try this practice, and everything was good. Dr. Guo was very thorough and touched on my medical status and the ways that affects my vision health, etc. I hope she still runs this practice next time I get a new prescription! And Tony was very polite and helpful when I had to make choices about getting the best value for how much equipment my insurance covered. Then he was like hey! And he punched in some numbers and figured if I ponied up about $35 past the insured max I could get a spare pair of sunglasses to keep in the car! Sounds like a good deal to me man! Im waiting on my actual glasses that I ordered still but wanted to punch this in before I forgot. If its more than two weeks from now and I didnt turn this into a rage about how they ordered me pink flamingo glasses with the lenses all upside-down or something, then take that as this reviewer having been quite satisfied with the exam, equipment, and final product! :)

Worst customer service EVER! (With the exception of Tony) After three weeks of waiting calling and hearing one excuse after another was told that they had to re order my glasses. Tony seems to be the only one there that knows what customer service means. Dont waste your time or money on this place and I hope Tony can find a better optical shop to work in. Maybe in two more weeks Ill have my glasses. Then again maybe in two weeks Ill hit the lottery.
